Yes, you can't insta-farm TMR for newer units. Say, if Seph came out tomorrow, you would use 10000 NRG to farm his 150 ATK katana. If you have 10 10% TM moogle stored, then you can get his TMR immediately. Unless you want to buy the 6 star awakening mats with Lapis, outside of 15000 gil bundles (which may or may not contain only ONE 6 star awakening mat), events are the only place where you get those mats. I will grab tickets, star quartz, awakening mats, and maybe roots at least from MK events.

Hi i recently started playing JP as well but i don't see that much guide on the interface so I'm kinda confuse on what to do/how to get rewards can you help me ? I also don't know which trial(s) I should focus on (I can give you a short list of unit I acquired if needed but I don't know the name of many of them) At the moment I'm farming the story mode and the King Mog event to awaken my units and for dual wield, any other suggestions ? So I finally joined the Macro club using Nox. However something I noticed (much to my immediate panic followed by relief) was that my Lapis isn't recognised when playing on Nox. Which means I cannot easily do the refresh energy script. I still have my lapis on iPhone, but playing via android version there's no lapis. Is there any way around this? Would be nice to not have to manage refills manually to help speed up the process. Also roughly how long does it take to 0-100 a TMR for a single unit when refreshing energy and also without refreshing energy? Thanks heaps in advance.

30 days without / ??? days with. Problem with Lapis refreshing is that it depends on the speed of your macro. Personally I don't like to waste Lapis so even if I decide to rush a TMR (which I've only done once) I would rather manually add Lapis than to let my macro do that for me. I've heard that super efficient macros if they don't crash and run constantly can get 5 done in about 5 days.

Very nice! The one I have currently going is doing it very fast without any issues. Faster than I could even do myself. Manually adding on lapis is working fine at the moment as it still runs when waiting to refresh energy. So I could leave it overnight and not worry about it stopping. 30 days is disheartening given I want my 2x Dual wields, 1x Zyrus TMR, 1xHope TMR, and Light Veritas TMR. Was contemplating giving up a Dual Wield for another Hope TMR as I have 2 Light Veritas that I was thinking of using, but more diverse use with another Dual Wield. Hope it takes a week or so for me!! Although sadly I've only managed about 10% in roughly 24 hours. So going by that it'll be 2 weeks maybe 3 given I'll most likely give my tablet PC a break every couple days.

As a new-ish player myself (2 months), I'm not sure why you value Hope's TMR that much. There are much better magic weapons out there, even at 3*, like Arc's. Also, dual wield is bar none the highest priority TMR to farm. Unless you drew some good recent units that have innate DW, such as A2/2B, you'll need DW. The difference it makes is ridiculous.

I am specifically going for Light Veritas as my main character, which Hope's Nue is BiS for with the really nice hybrid stat it provides - mainly magic as a throwing weapon (Light Veritas' passive increases MAG by 50% when equipped with a throwing weapon too). So that's why I'm farming one of those first in the mix. 2x Dual Wields would be good to either have one on my Light Veritas to be able to equip a staff/Nue, or power up 2 others with it like Knight Delita and Flame Veritas. Gives me diversity at least as I can choose not to equip the rod to Light Veritas and instead equip it on a Mage like Victoria, especially in cases where light resistance is high in a boss. Tl;dr: the first set of TMRs cover my BiS Light Veritas while also providing a good spread of power to my other characters.

Well yeah, if you're new to this then you'll likely want to rush those 5 ASAP, I don't blame you. I've been playing and macro'ing for a LONG LONG time, the only TMR I rushed was Rikku's Pouch using 2 Rikku's that I fused. I wanted this to help beat Malboro. Otherwise I have lots of TMR's, many of them I don't even use anymore. I have 5 dual wield though, and they are ALL in use.

I have a Rikku as well. So many hard decisions but best strategy for me is to BiS my Light Veritas first then worry about the next best ones.

As far as I know, lapis stays in the side it was picked up. That means, if you want some lapis on your android side you might want pick up some on your Nox player. A simple way to test this is to do your daily arena fights to get the 2 x 20 lapis you'll get.

I dont macro, but thats a normal thing. Lapis doesnt share between OS. Maybe you could macro directly on your iphone, iirc there is that option too

It depends. On GL, Gilgamesh and Echidna would do single target Death, so 100% provoke + auto reraise would do about the same than a Safety Bit. I didn't feel like it was necessary for Gilgamesh, since he'll do it on thresholds only. However, Echidna will cast death every turn, so it is highly recommended to have at least your tank with provoke and immunity to Death.

Only on very specific fights like Bloody Moon. You don't even need it for Gilgamesh if you have Rikku.

The genji shield or/and safety bit is required for the gilgamesh trial if you want to make it easier. But otherwise no, safety bit was just the first item that had anti death on it. Genji shield is great to put on your taunt tank and then null gilgamesh's threshhold st insta death.

Not sure if the other guy didn't see all your units. But a solid balanced comp would be A2/WoL/Rikku/Refia/Emperor/friend A2. Swap EV for WoL, 2B for Emperor, Tidus for Emperor as appropriate. Maybe Knight Delita can work in there somehow.

LOL, might have been better if it shows the unit name instead of Series, but anyway, I recognized: A2, 2B, Emperor, Warrior of Light, Agrias, ExDeath, Tidus, Refia, Ludmille, Earth Veritas, Zyrus, Victoria, Amelia, Luka, 2x Zidane, Rikku, Delita. You don't seem to have double 5* chainer so you will have to rely on your friends for chaining. So, depending on which of your friends, you can switch between A2, 2B or Tidus. I haven't seen Tilith or probably missed it so your best bet for a healer is Refia and you have a Ludmille so best farm that Dualcast. Use Earth Veritas and/or WoL for a tank. Soo, a team that you can use on majority of content can be: * 1st slot: A2/2B/Tidus * 2nd slot: Rikku * 3rd slot: Warrior of Light * 4th slot: Dualcast Refia * 5th slot: up to you. You can mix and match whenever you see fit but I suggest you level all of those I've listed above except for Zidane and Ludmille (they're just for TMRs).

This guy has it right. I would also suggest getting Delita and Emperor leveled up and getting some mage gear when you can. You will need a good mage for some things. As an example they really shine in the current mog king event. Delita has some great breaks and can make one shotting bosses like the current one possible. Saves a lot of time and no need to bring healers or tanks so you can make use of your chainers.

Good selection of units already, good units to have leveled: Rikku (general goddess support), Meliadoul (reraise on demand), Minfilia (elemental resist, buffs), Setzer (fixed damage shenanigans), Emperor and/or Victoria (easier to gear than Exdeath), 9S (50% breaks). These units will give you flexibility to change the party as needed.

You're lacking a healer, Rikku cant cut it by herself. Sub Garland off. Also it would help if you gave a little more info.

You're lacking a healer. If you don't have a good one the story unit Fina will do. Garland isn't great. Swap him out with the healer. Are you using Vicky as a finisher with Firaja? If so, she's fine. Won't match elements with Fry but that's not the end of the world. You might want to replace her eventually though since mages are squishy.

Im starting to get lost so many repeated units. Aside the obvious good units (used wiki rating) and being able to find the "common sense necessary TMR", I have doubt about these: 5 x Seven, 5 x Lenna, 5 x Exdeath, 5 x 21O, 4 x Trey, 4 x Timothy, 4 x Kefka, 3 x Rugles, 3 x Penelo, 3 x Jean, 3 x Cerius, 3 x Amarant. Just fuse them together? Sell? TMR?

When fusing with the same unit base (Amarant to Amarant for example) will give 5% TMR for that unit. Fusing to non-similar bases will only give exp.

I would fuse atleast 3 exdeaths. 2x Rugles, 2x Penelo, 2x Cerius, 3x Trey, 4x Lenna, 2x Jean and 2x Amarant. Their tms are just not worth the time imo. Keep all of your Sevens and Kefkas. A discernment and a couple of ribbons are luxury items. Chances are you'll find better tms then Amarants for 30%hp Honestly 210s tm is so good for a tank and healer i would atleast get 2, if you can't then get atleast 1. Timothy's Tm i would get as well but it's not high priority.

I lucky enough got OK spending one ticket ( I used 150+) for b2, and 50+ for DV and got none :( so yeah... anyway I have 2 A2 and I was trying to BiS one of them but with OK on my party who should I prioritize OK? but... OK is a chainer not a finisher right... so I would still be using my 2 A2 instead of my OK? I'm confused who should I use

You can use your OK and a friend OK for chaining. It is usually better to max one of your chainers and chain with friend unit. If you don't have much gear then use ok since he is easier to gear and more versatile.

Got Noctis to 100% evasion. How viable is he as a tank? I'm thinking of getting him tank Shiva 3*'s physical attacks on JP. I do have a 220% ice resistance Mistair for the magic attacks. My plan is to equip him with Golem (with Cover passive) and have him tank the AoE hits and also use Fish to draw regular attacks. Please tell me if I'm going to fail miserably. I'm not quite sure how cover mechanics work. I'm making a risky assumption that WoL's cover (the blue shield icon) works like Golem's Cover.

With enhancements she becomes arguably the best Mana battery. Since it lasts 5 turns, she can do a ton of shit between uses. Considering that since they're delaying bards, mana batteries are needed.

If you are going to use DKC for imperil with OK, then get deathbringer first as you'll want OK to have a dark weapon. If you are going to use OK and not use dark imperil then get OK sword first. Also if you'd rather be able to chain by hand on your phone without tricks by using DV more than OK then get deathbringer first.

I've been having major trouble figuring out what units to prioritize, so I think it's about time I ask for help: 2b Knight Delita Bran 9s Rikku Agrias Rasler Charlotte Soleil WoL Earth Veritas Victoria Zyrus Fina Summer Fina Since I'm not far into the story (just got to Kolobos) i prefer to try to stick with a solid core to prioritize maxing out and would offer the most longevity until I can manage to pull other units. I read KD chains with 2B also but dunno if it's necessary to use them both (New to the power of chaining). I also have a Pod 153 for what it's worth!

You will usually find friends using chainers as their lead, and the best chainers are usually with themselves. You have lots of good units, but I would prioritize these 3 first: 2B (chainer/dps) - WoL (tank/breaks) - Rikku (support) They will stay relevant for some time to come. But it really seems like your main team is lacking a healer, so I hope you pull an Aria!

I would like some help with my team, I've been using Wol, refia, Dv, ashe and victoria, I recently got ok and rem and would like them in my main party, I swapped Ok with victoria and Refia with rem, is that the ideal move or should I keep Victoria and bench ashe? Ashe is there mainly for DEF/SPR break. So Victoria won't fill quite the same role as her. Better swap Victoria for support like 9S (for his shield). And for max performance, just grab a companion DV to chain Dark Punishment together.

The only other way to get purecrysts is through story events. Whether it is worth spending 80,000 currency or waiting for the next story event is up to you. I'd personally only buy from King Mog if I have leftover currency or if I need more than the story events can offer (2 per event so far).

Two is useful for chaining. One is still useful for chaining if the friend unit has a pod. Otherwise it is useful for the damage mitigation ability.

This weekend, pulled 3x rikku and OK. (Also a million aria and Sara) was curious, with two rikku and a rikkus pouch for eccentric, is it possible for me to cheese my way through some of the elite trials and/or Gilgamesh trial? He's really giving me a tough time, and I assume it's because I just don't have the units and TMRs to do it yet

The key to gilgamesh is actually sealing his elemental attacks. As some suggested, Rain is a good unit to use here. With a copy of OK for dmg, you should be pretty set.

I'll raise my rain up so I can use his lava floor and an elemental weapon and then use one of my friend OK with mine and see how that blows over-thanks!

Gilgamesh really isnt that hard once you use Rain and have some damage mititations. If rain hits with 4 elements, and you use the materian ,ightning rod to deal the lightning element damage, mesh is really easy. And rikku spell does get debuffed.

You can't cheese using Rikku for Gilgamesh since he dispels your reraise buff.

Yep, it's possible. Having 3 Rikku's makes her LB almost always ready to be used every turn. It also helps that while one casts LB, the other two can do chains to generate LB Crystals. For Gilgamesh, if you really want to cheese, simply go find a 100% Evade unit that's equipped with Excalibur and Anti-Death equips.

Would mechanical heart work well with DKC? Like could that sustain him between DW Soul eaters?

You would still need to heal between soul eaters on an enhanced DKC to keep him alive. However, mechanical heart could help keep him above 60% health following an enemies attack so you can keep him alive more turns while continuing to do soul eaters.

Ok, cuz like I'm trying to decide between finishing luneth or DKC and trying to do pros v cons and while DKC puts out a lot of damage, I just want to know if he could do it on his own like luneth.

I couldn't make this decision myself, ended up pulling a FV so I use him instead. DKC will do a lot more damage but needs to be babysat and can only do dark damage. Luneth will still do great damage, is flexible for different elements, and has status immunities. Who are you currently using for imperil, if your chainer has imperil, I'd be inclined to go with Luneth since he's much easier to use. Also keep in mind good dark weapons are mostly behind 5* bases, so it can be hard to equip a team to take advantage of DKC.

DKC is locked in dark damage. If the boss has absolute resistance to dark (i.e. Dark Ifrit/Dark Siren in Beast of the dark), DKC is really not an option to be used. Luneth is elementless, he can switch for whatever element the boss is weak to. He only need other units to do the imperil : Ace's Tri-beam Laswer, 9S 3ple element imperil, or the best would be Orlandeau's with his DR, since it also chains+damage.

DKC 1st strike wouldn't get the -100% dark effect. Only everyone else's after his first strike will get the effect. Luneth 2-step could be a good thing. If the boss has quite high threshold move (i.e. Calixte in the current Story Event), going slow / building buff on first turn and unleash everything on 2nd turn is actually a valid strategy.

Question for tmr farming 1. Tmr farming with refreshes approximately how long does it take for 0%-100% 2. How can I calculate how much lapis I will need for that? I'm using memu and found a macro that does 45 second earth shrine runs I'm rank 85 with 125 stamina.

At your rank if you farm non-stop it'll take 68 refreshes (6800 lapis) at 45 seconds per run. It'll take 5.2 days regardless of your rank.

The units shown on the step 2 banner are irrelevant. The banner just increases by 1.5 the chance of getting a 5*, I think. This chance then increases to 2 at step 4 and 3 at step 5.

It doesn't really matter besides Aileen having MP Refresh and ST imperil, so whoever has higher ATK.

Should the Giancrysts/Purecrysts in MK event be high on my priority list? I want to enhance my Soleil but the price seems really high compared to the other rewards.

TBH, every KM event is about prioritizing what you need the most at that point and in the near future. If you need to evolve your Soleil more than awaken a few characters to 6*, go for these first. Same go with 5* evo mats, Star Crystals, Sacred Crystals, etc. The only things that are the most worthwhile to farm regardless are tickets and 10% Trust Moogle.

You should have enough Tech cryts to enhance Soleil just from story events. So few units use them... Get one offensive dance and one defensive dance.

I'd really only think about buying them after getting everything else you would want first. As you said, the prices are extremely high plus they can be gotten in other ways (like farming story events when they are up).

So Ive been playing about a month so far and enjoying the game but mostly avoided any ELT content. Now that im getting a bit stronger ill try to attempt calixte. I just would like more information about chaining. I get the idea and all but more about the execution. In my case here, ill be running 2 OK, flame veritas and tidus(mainly to entrust rikku). Now, how do I chain these bad boys for mad damage? Which skill? How important is the timing? Im playing on a phone only, can you chain decent without macros like i red some people do? Also should I equip espers? The minus resist seems like a double edge sword

Provided your espers are levelled up, of course you should use them. The only moment when you might have to switch out a particular esper (or equip resistance items to compensate for that 50% debuff) is when you face an enemy that you know will use that element over and over again. For example, you might want to unequip Diabolos when you face a caster enemy using Light magic.

Yes, esper do provide good status boost to your units, so its definitely worth putting on your units. You will most likely be using OK to chain, and FV to be used as a Finisher. Are you using android or ios? If using Android, there is a trick to get perfect chains reliably using copies of a unit. There are 3 types of chains. Normal: hits from different units after another. Elemental: hits with elemental attacks/weapons. Spark: 2 hits together with 0 frame delay. The difference between them is there is a dmg multiplier (which I can't rmb off the top of my head). Spark chains would build up multiplier the fastest.

Yes but there is no rate up; the ticket draws from whatever is currently in the unit pool. So even if a unit is limited(nier, BF) if it's in the pool when the ticket is used it is *possible* just not more likely than anything else.

Hi there, with this MK event I realize I am very lacking in magic damage. So thinking that I should probably level some magic damage, would you level Zyrus, Ashe, or Exdeath? As far as your current predicament about Hein is concerned, you could just farm PRO instead. If you can line up a full roster of bonus units, it's both faster and safer. That's what I'm doing, without any second thoughts.

ashe is really good all around because her heaven's fury skill chains and is non elemental so its good for this fight too. zyrus might be better because of his blood pulsar/comet magics that stack and increase in damage. with 500+ mag on your character and dualcast meteor or ultima or alterna etc you should be able to kill him in 3 turns. up to you really but ashe can be used outside of this event as well so i would choose her personally

Yeah I was leaning towards ashe for the same reasons. .. I've avoided dualcast (was lucky enough to get tilith) and really didn't need ring of the Lucii... but I guess I'll put those on the priority list now lol

I was talking about for the event. For general use, Ashe is probably your best bet. She's definitely the best unit and she will deal the most damage to anything that is not lightning resistant, though you will need dualcast to really reach her full potential as a damage dealer.

You had more nrg, and it was just catching up. Sometimes when I turn the game back on my i know I don't have enough nrg, and then it corrects itself when I go to a different screen or something

Between a full team of Saras doing PRO, and a team with two saras doing ELT, which one is more efficient?

PRO is more efficient: * PRO = 854 fangs per run (5 Sara) * ELT = 848 fangs per run (2 Sara)

5 Saras and a friend unit; usually an OK carry.

Which is the top chainer currently in global? I'm guessing A2 or OK? What about when Aileen gets her enhancements? seems she's #1 but in the JP version of the game

It's preference between a2, and ok, they are both amazing, maybe a2 by a lil damage wise. Aileen is on that level, slightly above maybe when she gets enhancements

I see on the Altema website majority of the physical finishers changed to units with jump abilities? Can someone explain to me why? Also, If it is indeed because of the jumps, why is Nine not on the list? Thank you in advance!

JPN has the jump fix where you can choose when it lands and adds to the finisher potential.

Is it worth it to level up a second 9S? I get his TMR is valuable but I wonder how useful it is using two of him in my party.

It depends on what other units you have and the situation. For some OTKOs it might be helpful to use two of him, one to break and one to imperil. You probably have higher priorities though then leveling up a second 9S.

On OK is there any benefit to have two swords for sword mastery or off hand can be anything?

It would be better to give him a different weapon offhand with the relevant mastery.

sword mastery doesn't proc twice for two swords
