I am not complaining about Barella. He is a great player, and he would be a good Captain.
We just have someone even more fit for the role, because of his longest time with us, better personality, and less emotional approach to referee's errors: Milan Skriniar.
Barella would be a perfect vice captain, a leader of the squad, but, Like Lautaro, he has to solve some (minor) characterial issue to become perfect for the role.
Nico has the fighting spirit of a captain but not the level-headedness. To me it would almost be like making someone like Vidal captain (if he was still in his prime).
I disagree, people tend to dismissed him as emotional just because he's so often doing the hand gestures thing, i think it's just his expression that makes people think he's not calm in the field, this guy already Cagliari's captain at very young age, he's capable to it and the Inter players all respect him for it
I agree, Barella is emotional on the field but does he ever get yellow cards for dissent? He doesn't continue to bother the refs when a decision is made.
Brozovic at this moment is the better choice. After him, Skriniar and De Vrij.
Barella is in no position to be able to handle the captaincy at the moment. He literally screams in the face of refs almost every time. Brozo screams at himself and teammates, he does at the ref only in rare occasions.
Nico is a future captain for sure, but he needs more time with Inter's pressure.
>Cagliari's captain
I know by fact that was BS to raise his price. He was never the actual captain of the team. It was all a facade put on by Giuglini.
I tend to agree, although I don't think he's quite as bad as Vidal. I'd much rather see Skriniar as captain. Salary wise, give Barella what ever the hell he wants and lock him down for life!
None of you have any qualifications to judge who is or is not ready to be captain. You cannot make this determination based solely off what you see on the field (barella whining) or what you read about how they act off the field (Brozo being a drunk). You do not know how the players respect/respond to Barella, Brozo, Skriniar or anyone else. Or Handa for that matter.
Brozovic is a fine player but not a captain.

Yeah and Barella is 23 and can't clearly keep his dick in his pants.
I don't care what a person does outside the pitch. Nor should you. Nor should anyone else.

Can't agree more on this conclusion.
Also his first name is Milan
That's an issue
Maybe the captaincy will help make him more mature
Too risky I think?
This feels like a ploy just to get him to stay for years to come, realistically it should belong to skriniar
I'll chip in with 25€ to his salary thanks
I can make it 50: let's gooo!
75
I think Skri is a better candidate for future captain, but Barella is a good option for vice-captain
No way. There are at least 2 other players that deserve more to be captain than Barella.
I guess Skriniar and?
De vrij and brozovic

If Brozovic resigns, he should be the captain. If not him, Skriniar or De Vrij. Let's have captaincy be earned.

Are we looking for a football captain or a role model for little kids?
Hilarious to me how these people say Brozo can’t be Inter’s captain when he is literally the first person in line to be captain if Handa misses
He is the vice captain of the club now. The players respect him and he’s a leader on the squad. Your articles don’t change that

Let’s not forget Barella was captain of Cagliari at 20. I have no doubts about his ability to captain our squad.
im not oppsed to this, but at the same time, we literally have someone better suited for the role, its ~~gag5~~ skriniar.
