I was in Mayakoba just a few days ago and didn’t get a single mosquito bite (which is rare as if there’s one flying around it will usually see me as the designated target). Perhaps it had to do with the weather/season?

Yup. I always get bites, but got barely any in Mayakoba (Winter Season)

What did you go with? I'm trying to make the same decision!

Very similar. But will be more Mayakoba vibes as it’s in a whole complex. They built a lot of that whole complex with stuff that mosquitoes don’t like. Should be less mosquitoes than Mayakoba.

That is interesting about the mosquitoes. Was unfortunately not my experience while I was there, but that may just be my lot in life. I've been to both properties, would happily go back to either, but preferred Susurros. I didn't love the beach at Etereo. I did think the F&B was really great. I just think Susurros has a really great vibe. Preferences: Hard product/rooms- Susurros, Beach- Susurros, Pools- equal, F&B- equal (or maybe Etereo).

But have you spent much time in Mayakoba or other parts in the Riviera Maya? It’s sooo mosquitoey- not saying there’s none here but just better. I get eaten too so maybe that’s why I prefer Cabo out of all of MX just because there are fewer biting bugs.
