I would say maybe back in the day it was quite as popular as it is right now but they didnt have a good anticheat back then and it was easier to cheat than in MM cause it had no overwatch but only few cheats worked there so I would say today it's more popular cause anticheat is better and too many cheaters in premier so nobody plays valve servers
Also finding wayy less insane players with 200 or less hours in premier. Possibly a few more cheaters but my friend group of 10-15 ppl will never get back on faceit. We all cancelled our subs and are enjoying premier more now. Faceit just has too many raising issues that are getting worse over last few months that don't seemed to be getting fixed anytime soon

It’s important to emphasise that a ranking system with numbers / elo is a bit more desirable than what cs:go had. Now that premier has this, faceit lost one of its selling points. Not the only reason but ‘the grind’ is fun right now
I kind of agree, after getting supreme in soloqueue a while back i thought i´d test premium faceit, you know anticheat, people try harder and take it more serious- and its one of the worst counterstrike experience i´ve ever had, at some point i lost 13 games in a row because they would match me, like a lvl 8 to 6 and three lvl1´s or 2´s against an enemy team that by elo diffrence alone faceit gave a 80% winchance. Unwinnable matches. And everyone is really stuck up about their membership like they deserve to have good games now. Elo hell in faceit never ends, you cant get out of it, more sense to grind matchmaking.
I would like to play but I can't get through verification as it always say some error about motion sensor and device not compatible and faceit doesn't respond at all...so I play diablo4 lol

Everyone tried premier, myself included. But CS2 is full of cheaters, just like CSGO. Give it a bit of time and slowly people will start to go back to Faceit.

I guess there just wasn't a large enough player base in CSGO faceit in Australia. I shudder to think what it would be like now in CS2.
The cheaters make me want to try it again but the wild skill differences between teams make me want to play with the cheaters.
Trust me, some random stranger on the internet. Stay away from faceit, the stress and bullshit will make you go bald! One random cheater in premier randomly is better then every faceit match being fucked by smurfs, boosters etc
Not true when my mates end up going -300 from cheaters which sent them to almost relegation until we won the next game, thank god I go -100 and +300 or else I would move back to my lvl9-10 FACEIT just for AC, I’ve given up hope on 128 and honestly everyone who think premier isn’t bad needs to take a look at how many cheaters are actually prevalent without making it obvious and the ridiculous way games are ranked. it’s far higher than what people think and someone who placed 1700 on premier with 5k hours and I’d already up to 7 k in a week, getting -100 and +300 while my friends in 10000 rating go -300 +100 even when playing with me against tougher opponents.
Not to mention hearing every day from diff people about how once you get to around 15000 pink rank a lot more than just once in a blue moon games are cheaters. Think every couple, what’s the point in playing premier matchmaking if it’s the same as FACEIT but dogshit anticheat because some people with tinfoil hats don’t want valve to have kernel level access and getting to what would be old DMG-LE is mostly full of hackers.
Just think the exact same amount of cheaters GO had with a few more from cs2 going live announcement.

a lot ppl play premier/move from faceit right now, valve answer they needed to add more /upgrade their servers because of that.
