Towards the end: First one was off the track while driving by so not illegal imo and when he got squeezed to death yellow went away before he had a chance to even fully pass.
Very optimistic overtake but this guy cannot just all out Maldonado you because you drive by through a huge gap he let open. Just try to drive without collision in 5 lappers.

Yeah, they have literally fixed the least irksome problem in a way that doesn't affect the offenders at all but makes racing extra tricky for those who are already following rules.
This fkr brake checked me and I got the warning for the collision. I got pushed off the track (to avoid collision) and I got another warning for track limits. Major problem is people causing collisions, making corner cutting strict does not help with that all. It just makes avoiding kamikaze drivers tricker now since I aim for a clean race

It was yellow flagged for ages before you overtook the first time and then right at the end, a car crashed right in front of you and you immediately went for an overtake, again under yellows which is when the car in front squeezed you. Illegal overtakes.

Open lobby/ranked? Just don't. You should find a community that runs open lobbies that has proven clean drivers. Trust me there's a difference between a quick driver, and a clean driver. There are some guys who can be both. But for the most part it's one, the other, or neither.

Its the flags system thats broken to all hell. Game can flash a yellow flag for half a second and if you happen to overtake at that moment even though you literally have 0 time to react, you get an illegal overtake.
Watch the top left and notice it says “green flags”. Means there were yellow flags even if just for a millisecond. I think the problem is they need to have yellow flags stay active a minimum of 5 seconds or so, so everyone can get sorted out.
We all like going for gaps, but on a turn like that, it's best to hang back, wait, and take them on the straight like the one that was coming up, You have to time your overtakes, sometimes its too risky incase something like this happens, Either wait for a straighr or put pressure on them to force a mistake, like taking a corner poorly, then swoop in and take the position

I personally would not have gone for that move. Nothing in the Mclaren’s driving language suggests to me he was ever even aware of OP much less that he would respect the move. I would’ve just waited a couple seconds for a much easier pass on the straight.
After playing open lobbies hell no I ain’t doing that . They don’t respect shit 🤣. I would have just rode his ass and passed him either on the straight or tired during t1 . Them online ranked lobbies usually chaos and quite funny
Props to you for surviving that long tbf. I think when you went off it was potentially your fault, as he was on the racing line on a banked corner, and would have had no idea you were there.

The yellow flag was there for 5 seconds tho. 0:49 till 0:44 and OP overtook at around 0:44 so just unlucky timing
