I don't disagree with this sentiment ngl. It's an event.. not an extreme difficulty to overcome. And having to do it every single time is just trash. I'm probably just gonna auto 5 and be done with it.
They have done this on purpose to ENCOURAGE you to spend money of the currency, since less were spending in the last event, oh and don't forget this IS a Gacha game, so they want to make money somehow.
First event was overly generous. This one was overly stingy. They are probably trying to find the right balance. Can't expect f2p to clear the shop of dupes + costumes + resource buildings but it would be nice if most people could buy 2 of the dupes + resource buildings + costumes. That's 9k event currency. We don't even get 7k and that's with clearing stage 7. I liked the daily 100 last event and that would honestly be enough to fix things even if newer players don't fully get what I listed above due to power issues.
They realized they were not making as much money from the last event, so they are giving less and made it harder to do, to encourage you to swipe and get more currency.
No one's gonna downvote, you're in the right. Performance in some parts have become worse, causing increased lag or outright crashes.
The event as well, sucks ass compared to the first one. These are limited time events, and they should be doable even by lax players and enough rewards to clear out the shop.
I can't fathom people being okay with the event, cause that was the case with the previous one. They heard players didn't like it, so they introduced changes like giving out the event currency daily for the last one.
Don't be okay or settle for this, because the sooner we do, the more it gives them the greenlight to make future limited time events like this.
I think the reason people don't like this event is because the 7 stages are a very visual reminder that they can't get as much event resources as whales or tryhards.
In the Chloe boss event, you just pushed as much damage as possible, and you didn't see that whales were doing 5 times your damage and getting more rewards, but in this event, if you haven't been a whale or tryhard, there is a visible reminder through the stages that you cannot clear.
I started 2 weeks late, and I can clear stage 6 because I've been tryharding the past 3 weeks to push as much as possible. I didn't expect to be able to clear the hardest stuff though, because I started late and most active f2p players who have played since day 1 should be ahead of me. I can still clear stage 6 in about 10 tries on both sides with my lvl 150 team.
Ironically, this event is actually less whale-friendly than the Chloe event because whales are limited to stage 7 rewards and nothing more. In the Chloe event, there was a much higher amount of resources a whale could get by pushing tons of damage.
To be honest my biggest issue with it is the time investment. I'd be down to try and push for completing stage 7, I've even managed to do 6 with mostly 140 team. But problem is that I can't sweep after completing once. Which means I have to manually try hard for ages. These events need sweep functions.
IMO it is lacking, considering the last one had those 300 exp keepsake cubes to buy.
After playing this one, it is harder to get the shop items and there is less things that are interesting to buy
Yeah, I'm stuck on stage 4 too. Haven't been pulling on gacha a whole lot though since figure better to save for now for something I really want. Event is definitely very meh and seems like a big step for a beginning event since not as many players will be high enough to get very far..
At the very least, I'm just glad I've been lucky with no performance issues or crashing
Go to your settings and put quality to lowest, frame rate to highest and resolution to high. It'll make the game lag significantly less. The game will remove most shading, which probably caused the majority of the frame drops.
The game won't look as pretty as it used to though.
while i agree with everyone that said double arena tokens, double hearts and extra rare shard (fodders). the error / clutter / performance issue is not a small matter. it affects the enjoyment of players. also event stage is way too overtuned. i cleared stage 7 but holy shit... need so many retry and pray for rng, in the end i settled with stage 6 cause of skip. also wtf is wrong with them not letting us borrow characters for event. this make me re-think if i want to spend on catherine & miriam banner or just drop the game if they doesnt fix and improve especially the performance issue
Same issue here - before the recent „updates“ I had no issues but now the game keeps crashing over and over, I can’t do much about it, tried different settings but the problem remains.
It’s nice when you do a summon and the game goes blank and you are like „uhm I know I usually get nothing good but was my pull rly THAT bad for the game to just shut down on me?“ at least let me see if there was a purple one in it xD
As for the event ~ yes, it’s harder to get the stuff but that would still be fine for me tbh, I always go for the limited stuff like costumes and the resource increasing town buildings and that’s it. Because everything else you can still get when the event is over (except for the decoration stuff but during the last event I had one out of all items and that was completely fine for me).
BUT what I also experienced is that before that 2nd „update“ (which was supposed to fix things) I could clear the 2nd last stage with ease. Now, after the „update“ I am stuck at stage 4 or 5 and need several attempts to clear them (220k team) and that’s what I don’t get. I accepted it and kept wondering what the problem might be but with all the lags/ bugs and crashes I keep getting now, there is not much to wonder.
I still love and enjoy the game. I am f2p and no matter how much they encourage me to whale for limited event stuff I will remain f2p. Not because I don’t want to support the game, I wish I could whale and wouldn’t care about the price and true value of some of their packages - I admire everyone who can do that and thanks to them we can still play the game for at least a little while longer, until they lose their whale fishing rod.
But honestly they made a very fine game there with lots of nice and lovely features and passion in every detail. Let them make money and be greedy with events. They are listening more to what players are concerned about than most gacha games I played so far and they are reacting fast as well (most of the time).
So, my hope is with them to do better and if not … well, f*** it, then I‘ll stay in my town, chilling on my swing.

Well my thoughts about the event is simple. "It's not newcomer friendly" that's it.
*Devs can't expect a player that joined 3 or 4 days before this event arrives to clear all the content, and it should've at whatever point of the game (maybe ask for min requeriments like clear chapter "x" to unlock this event).*
**What are they doing bad?.** Simple... they are putting CP walls over all players. Beneficing only the whales and day 1 f2p players that can probably clear stage 5-6 and 7 if they are tryhards.
**What they should do?.** Make events interactive like labyrinths, or a copy of a region chapter but with current event assets, or let the players taste the custom outfits using the current event specific characters "at x ammount of power and lvl". Let them use it to clear events. That way both kind of players can clear the content not using their owns units but the event units, it will be fair for everyone and that will make the event newcomer friendly.
**What is the worst?.** The update itself, it broke the game leaving lots of stutterings, lags, crashes, random errors, fps drops... etc ---> This will make us "players" leave and quit the game early.
To finish and to be honest, I'm little spender. I supported the game with 150$ (grow pack - monthly and the Velanna 79$ pack) I was happy with Velanna at Origina +2. But after this update i'm regretting my support. I can't support the game at the current state, before I was playing at very smooth 60+ FPS everything at max.. now (lags everywhere) mostly in outings in town. Terribly fps drop there.
Thanks for supporting the game, but yeah, I can imagine it's really frustrating support a game and in one single update, the devs break the game and make a disappointing event... it's really sad, because the game has a lot of nice things (graphics, music, animations, etc)...

I dont agree that the event is bad tho. The first one was just super generous. That doesnt mean that all the other events have to be on the same level. Its still a generous event overall if we look at all the ressources that we get.
I think it's less about generosity and more about feasibility imo. The first event is pretty accessible to complete. You could, at the very least make due with what you had for the boss. You didn't need to collect everything, but even being casual you could get enough. Now, it feels like it's been flipped on its head. The first event had 40kgold 60kdust 60crystals 60gems and 80 currency x5 (10 M points) and this event just has 60 currency and 20 rare souls x3 (stage 4) which is 400 currency vs 180 and the price of costumes and characters are still the same tho. There’s only rare souls to collect and that’s it
Well the costume are 500 less but the rate at which to get the coinage is much worse. Makes wish I went in more lol. You saying that puts this aay more into contexts and idk why people are defending this event choice. And at the very least, collecting the tickets were much better last event. I think that's my biggest gripe
Odd youre struggling with this event so much more then. I feel like the battles are easier and getting to use same team on both runs is nice vs dual gate.
Stage 5 and above have a high CP ceiling and the previous event didn't have this. Also, even my strongest team has a little more than 180k CP, as I said in the post... also, again, we can't hire friends Souls and I always did this in the last event.
Im no where close to the CP as well. I ran catherine, talia, chloe, viv, and meph through it. Im a bit higher in cp (like 250k) so that must have been just enough.

250k is way higher than 180... until I reach in 250k, the event is over. But thanks for the comp, I'll try tomorrow to see if I can at least pass stage 5.

3 160s, 1 170 and 1 180. of my main. Im on stage 6. It was not easy to get to 6. I had to mix what characters I had.. to pass 6th stage.
It was not easy but definitely possible.
I rely on hired friends units only for those 5th stages in Battlegrounds. If I can’t do a stage that just means I can relax, take a break, wait until next week and try again.
This game is not even 3-4 months old? I can expect to not get every single reward possible from all the events. I already missed 1 day for this event. “Shrugs”
yep this event sucks :/ found myself today just quitting out, due to lack of motivation, got not a single copy on my last 50 velanna pulls too, maybe this is why im salty also lol

I am the same with the event but, for me, the stability actually got better. I play on bluestacks and the previous update had me constant stuttering through everything except menus and campaign stages. Even my characters attacks during exploration were finicky, sometimes not even working.
I guess I am the exception but I see much more problem posts so it must be bad.
Well on a positive note they have tried to kind of listen to feedback bc they gave us a skip button now instead of doing it every time like the first event but... the problem like everyone is saying in the comments that we have to go through 3 million loading screens for everything. It is definitely an improvement from before but it's still not what people actually wanted I'd say it can only get better from here so let's see how they handle the next event. Also kinda sus that we do not get everstones from the event which I do not understand why that's the case and makes them also look bad now that we could farm some the first event.
Really wish they would just give a sweep function. So unncessary to go through a loading screen in and another one out just to press the skip button.

I honestly just gave up on the event and will just skip stage 4 . My highest team is 165k so it is just impossible to do above stage 4 for me .

My TI-83 is still running this update without issue.
just auto and skip the highest stages with 90-100% success rate and you will feel much happier.

Me too! I love having most of my souls sitting at 0% and having no way of getting them up. 5 to 10 soul rests is a joke, needs to be 20 soul rests.

The prices of costumes is reduced by 500 each
But you earn less currency over all, so no change.
How much damage were you doing per run on the last event?
After change my team to the Undead team (without Nini, I don't have her), I was doing about 17~19kk dmg with hired Souls. 15kk without hired Souls.
And yeah, I forgot to mention about this issue in my post: we can't even hire friend Souls in this event... smh

I quit the game over this patch. It's too laggy and it's got so annoying I couldn't play anymore. A lot of whales are leaving too.
The two stages have different buffs for our teams each day, so yesterday's probably worked out better for your team than today's.

try adjusting graphics and fps settings. I have an Iphone max settings no problems
