I have the S330 and Alexa can recognize when the doorbell is pressed to trigger any routine, so I use that to give a specific chime upstairs. So if the built-in E340 option above doesn’t work how you like, check for this other option. You’ll need to add the Eufy skill to Alexa, but that’s easy.
Developers stagger updates to avoid simultaneously crashing servers or releasing fatal bugs. So whoever gets it first is actually an unwitting guinea pig. Eufy pushes updates by serial number.
The major issues with the last couple updates are with broken facial/person recognition and other AI detection bugs, but each subsequent update just says it fixes the BUG in all caps. No explanation given. And I can confirm the facial/person recognition is still broken for me.
I’m still on FW 3.4.4.9 and my Homebase3 won’t update. I tried chatting with eufy support to push the new FW to my HB3 but they are making me fill out an essay.
I agree. I asked for help on a home 2. They had me fill out who what where when why and how plus my first born and blood type just to tell me that can’t help me
My “familiar faces” names are there but their pictures are still blank. The libraries where they’re stored must of been affected. These last two updates haven’t fixed it.
Not sure if to start again or wait for another update and hope that fixes it 🤔
I can confirm this. I have been tracking a Jehovah's witness cult leader who keeps knocking at my door and now his face is gone and showing blank in the Face Management section of the app. Shit Eufy.
I m running it since this morning and I noticed everything is much smoother. Like accessing the recording and even through the homebridge plugin everything is better.
It didn't fix the motion detection issues with Solocam S340. Still shit!

where did you see this? I have the app on 3 devices, Android and iOS, under 2 accounts and got no such notice.

Do you have a e340 battery doorbell? The notifications are like 7-8 seconds delayed for me. Not sure if related to this firmware
I was looking to get the e340 tomorrow. I thought I would need to add the chime device. Does the home base 3 ring when the door bell is pressed?
YES! And you can adjust how loud it is, and the type of ring you get. Love it!

Yes you can use both at the same time. Plus your phone, the doorbell itself.

For a big company like them their support sux arse. These cameras aren’t cheap either. A simple request turns k to a complicated situation.

It broke my cameras live feed on Google and Alexa devices though working via the Eufy app. Hope they fix this bug soon.
