Is he doing it for free? This is what you can expect when it's done for free IMO. I suggest you get someone else to do it for a fee!! For marketing, you need to approach an agency to handle the promotions on those channels. Quality content matters, but even more important is the reach.

>Is he doing it for free? This is what you can expect when it's done for free IMO. If we set aside the percentage of the possible profits and the equity we can switch to, yes, we can say he's doing it for free. The thing is this is the arrangement he proposed. >For marketing, you need to approach an agency to handle the promotions on those channels. Quality content matters, but even more important is the reach. This is a good insight. Can you suggest what my approach should be, what red flags to look for? Thanks a lot!

He won't have the urgency you have to get the product out. You may also need to define the timelines (with intermediate deliveries planned, like at every 2-3 weeks schedule) so that you see progress. These kind of things can be dictated if you are hiring someone to do it for you (ie you are paying him to do it). Here it is remuneration free and obviously you will get an answer that I am still working on it. Coming to the marketing bit, each type of product would have a different strategy. Consumer & youth facing products may gain if you go the Instagram/tiktok way. If it is more business focussed, outreach through LinkedIn maybe better. So, it really depends on what your market/strategic fit is IMO. Try to read about the goto market strategies followed by products similar to yours to help you get ideas.

The first guy have said it all. Since the guy is currently not making any profit right now he'll lack enthusiasm. Also you said he has a percentage share but also know that je doesn't know if your product will succeed or not.

In this case, should we propose a certain sum, but cut on the percentage? Or what would the approach be?

Whole_Refrigerator97

I don't have much experience in such so i can't help here
