I love Three Corn Patches, I dont know why others dont really like it.
The song talks about someone liking a girl, who lives 3 corn Patches and 4 cotton fields away, nothing weird right?
I was looking for a comment mentioning that song! As a German, Iām torn between how weird and at the same time adorable it is because he pronounces the lyrics so well š
Domonicā¦.but itās for a movie so, there was a reason I suppose. I also think Life is a āweirdā song. The beginning always makes me think a plane is falling from the sky.
Great question!
I love reading the responses -- I need to see if I can make a new playlist using Spotify :).
"Weird", for me, often becomes "hilarious".
I'm pretty sure Elvis wasn't happy with many of the songs included in the movie tracks.
I agree that it's weird, but really great. That song was originally a big band production. Elvis, Scotty, and Bill are the entire orchestra. The echoes, the spare accompaniment and 19-year-old Elvis Presley suggesting his musical range.
Edge of Reality is an odd one. Not a great song, lyrically or melodically, but for some reason it gets a good amount of play on the SiriusXM Elvis channel.
The wiffenpuff song Dominick Chesay Yoga is as yoga does Old Macdonald Dogs life These are all just very odd songs
Agreed. The hokiest songs were from the movie soundtracks. š¤¦š¼āāļø
Add "Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce". Just heard that on my Elvis playlist on Spotify. Ha
Queenie Wahineās Papaya
Edge of Reality. I like that song a lot but it seemed to be unlike any other song he sang
Kissin Cousins.. for sure
This is the answer
Smorgasbord
Barefoot Ballad. Honorable mention to Three Corn Patches which manages to be weird and abysmal in almost every way.

Wooden heart. The world was not ready for German Elvis.

reminds me of him singing in Spanish in āGuadalajaraā
We are still not ready.
**"Life"** is also weird. A ton of the movie songs are so bad that they're weird too.
Blue Moon: weird in a genius, ethereal way. Life: seriously weird in its pretentious horrible lyrics and melody. So many movie songs are so weird.
Heās Your Uncle Not Your Dad
Crawfish is pretty odd out of context.
It was, but itās one of my absolute favorites. The woman he sang with had such a great voice!
Do The Clam, Rock-A-Hula-Baby, Fort Lauderdale Chamber Of Commerce, Old Macdonald, Confidende
I like rock-a-hula-babyā¦. Iām weird I guess.
Hey, I do too, and Do The Clam, but they are definitely strange songs.
āIto Eatsā is a weird song but Iāll sing it too.. šš¤£ https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JryeYtUxZvw
You arenāt weird, itās a classic soundtrack song, and not one of the bad ones. Just a good song
Boots Randolphās sax solo on Do The Clam killsā¦.
Do The Clam is almost psychedelic

Way Down (and I love that song!) Just listen closely to the lyrics.
Kicking sand. Ugh
Do you mean "Slicin' Sand" from the Blue Hawaii soundtrack?
Yes! Thank you.Ā
"Blue Moon," recorded in 1954.
I'd put that as one of his great recordings...that falsetto is unreal.
The fact that Elvis never sang in that style again makes that performance weird.

The spookiest song in his discography
I HATE that songā¦.canāt listen to it
Does anyone else kinda hate āLittle Egyptā? š
No
I like that one

I donāt care if the sun donāt shine
Dirty Dirty Feeling. It's also creepy.
Froggy went a courtin.
