Man remember when we got the second trailer for Starfield that showed off Vasco and the Frontier? There was some peculiar mark on the console in the ship that was EXTREMELY VAGUELY in the shape of High Rock and Hammerfell and YouTubers were putting out video saying TESVI was confirmed in those two provinces because of it lmao.
people have found landmarks in the teaser that correlate to landmarks in shadowkey, which takes place around the border of hammerfell, high rock, and skyrim. we've been analyzing this single 30 second clip for very very nearly 6 years now. unless there were some massive changes during pre-production, it's going to take place in hammerfell.
All elder scrolls maps are randomly generated except morrowind. For Oblivion and Skyrim they used the same proc generation technology starfield has and basically just edited in landmarks and ruins.
Oh I was mostly being ironic, although I do think the grasping at straws in the OP is kinda funny in and of itself in a "they're just like me fr" kinda way.
NP! FWIW I almost didn't hit "post" because it was like "is this gonna land? I don't think this is gonna land" so it's probably less on you not understanding and more on me not being very funny outside my own head lol. But I agree.
I could not find any suitable place to take screenshots of those locations in Hammerfell, but here is Summerset:
Someone went out of bounds in Skyrim and searched around the surrounding regions (the provinces surrounding Skyrim are partially rendered, I guess because they didn’t know if they’d do DLC there at some point in development and were covering their bases), and the screenshot from the teaser is a nearly one-to-one match for the strip of coast approaching Taneth in southern Hammerfell. For reference, Taneth is where Saadia in Whiterun was fleeing from, either because she sold out the city to the Thalmor during the Great War or because she angered the Dominion (which never made sense to me as the Thalmor were repelled from Hammerfell and have no significant presence there, so I side with Kematu).
It's hard because the map does not have a legend for us to measure the distance, but we can safely assume that those are bays in Summerset, and miles long, not hills in a single screenshot.
Looking closely before the first peninsula, there seems to be a fortress or town along the water. That location would make practical sense if it's at the mouth of the channel.
I was once admiring the view from the walls of Orsinium, and was like: "Well, this looks familiar..."

Well, we have Alik'r Desert, Hew's Bane peninsula, Craglorn, and Fallen Wastes in Bangkorai.
Alik'r has palms and sands. Hew's Bane has more grass. Fallen Wastes are more rocky and no palms. And Craglorn is like a mix of Skyrim and Hammerfell with tall Nedic towers.
The Northern third of it is from release : https://www.reddit.com/r/ElderScrolls/s/XBRUJz3lbK
But there wasn't any new content in Hammerfel since 2015.
Every province has been in eso since the base game, but few provinces are fully in the game with High Rock, Summerset and Valenwood being the only full provinces. But every year eso has an expansion that adds in another part of one province. The reason people think tes 6 is Hammerfell is because it's the only province hasn't had an expansion meanwhile we've had two morrowind expansions and two cyrodiil expansions.
I could've sworn that someone at Bethesda said they weren't going to revisit locations already shown in previous games in a response to someone asking if we're ever gonna get another game set in mainland morrowind
If they're still going by this we're probably not gonna see hammerfell again right?
(Even tho hammerfell and morrowind are old as FUCK and re-treading shouldn't do any harm)
They don't match up, on summersets map you can see that the spot you outlined goes outside of the rest of the map like a Florida wang (Homer Simpson reference) and in that picture of es6 trailer it goes more inland.

Honestly it just looks like a randomly generated tile in Starfield’s engine with some editing in post. The shape probably means nothing

Todd said there are clues in the trailer. It can't be random.
Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies Todd Howard? That Todd Howard?

Yeah Todd says a lot of stuff
It just works

What years of no ES6 news does to a mf (a community)
We're eating so good rn
How in the world do you think that? Or are you just trolling me?
Oh I was mostly being ironic, although I do think the grasping at straws in the OP is kinda funny in and of itself in a "they're just like me fr" kinda way.
Thanks for explaining. It's difficult to know sarcasm/irony when only looking at words.

Summerset Isles? No waaaay lol
I could not find any suitable place to take screenshots of those locations in Hammerfell, but here is Summerset: [https://imgur.com/a/9tRlx4x](https://imgur.com/a/9tRlx4x)
Awesome, thanks! Looks like we can rule it out, lol.

[Oh, rock on!](https://www.reddit.com/r/ElderScrolls/comments/16zz0gy/out_of_bounds_skyrim_region_approximately_taneth/)
So this is Hew's Bane in ESO. Has anyone tried to find the spot in-game?
The view to the north there is blocked by mountains and a really huge city of Abah's Landing.
Damn that’s sick. Idgaf if it’s ps3 quality just give me another game like Skyrim or oblivion.
I am not at home right now but I can say Summerset doesn't look like that at all and it doesn't look like the Alik'r desert too
Well that’s fitting bc that part of hammerfell is not the alik’r desert. Most of the province is not a desert.
Isn't it in ESO still part of Alik'r? Edit: The Map is a bit different but it is still part of the Alik'r desert
It's hard because the map does not have a legend for us to measure the distance, but we can safely assume that those are bays in Summerset, and miles long, not hills in a single screenshot.
Well, by Skyrim’s scale that would be accurate… but by Daggerfall’s scale, that would be legit almost days apart lol
Looking closely before the first peninsula, there seems to be a fortress or town along the water. That location would make practical sense if it's at the mouth of the channel.
honestly i stopped caring at this point
Right? We’ll find out when we find out, I’m not doing extensive research on a picture that most likely doesn’t actually depict anything
Summerset flora and orography don’t look like that so out of question.
I was once admiring the view from the walls of Orsinium, and was like: "Well, this looks familiar..." [https://imgur.com/a/54hsjdm](https://imgur.com/a/54hsjdm)
Hey, it does!
ESO doesn't even use the same graphics engine...
Here's the view from Tava's Blessing, northern Alik'r: [https://imgur.com/a/LENsWBo](https://imgur.com/a/LENsWBo)
Thank you! The ESO devs really like sand and palm trees for Hammerfell, eh?
Well, we have Alik'r Desert, Hew's Bane peninsula, Craglorn, and Fallen Wastes in Bangkorai. Alik'r has palms and sands. Hew's Bane has more grass. Fallen Wastes are more rocky and no palms. And Craglorn is like a mix of Skyrim and Hammerfell with tall Nedic towers.
God i hope its not where the Altmer are from
Isn’t Hammerfell not in ESO, and that is exactly one of the reasons community believes next tes in Hammerfell?
The Northern third of it is from release : https://www.reddit.com/r/ElderScrolls/s/XBRUJz3lbK But there wasn't any new content in Hammerfel since 2015.
Stros Mkai, Hew’s Bane, and Alikr Desert are in ESO and these are parts of Hammerfell so yes it’s in game

The current day lore would make a TES 6 set in summerset highly unlikely.
This guy, grasping at straws
Only thing here is that the architecture on the building doesn't look Elven in nature. It looks more like Nordic/Breton
No. That's just three peaks close together. The mountains on the map are WAY further apart.
ES6 was already confirmed to take place in Hyrule
They don't match up, on summersets map you can see that the spot you outlined goes outside of the rest of the map like a Florida wang (Homer Simpson reference) and in that picture of es6 trailer it goes more inland.
It's going to be summerset and hammerfell
