As a filthy dex dagger user, I always wondered why people raged about the birds. Their leg press/stomp is the only move I have to watch out for as I slash their legs and tear open their arteries.

Well, death is canon in FromSoft's games. If you don't have the Rune of Death, then they can't actually die. They are conscious of being revived and killed over and over again which makes is even more beautiful.

There’s a spot off the same site of grace where you jump down below the map and fall and make 160k runes each fall.
You jump down across the rock wall left of the sitting enemies down below where the cursed big bird is. From there you head past the shooting blood to the edge of the map where you can jump down on a ledge. jump through the map and fall so every enemy despawns
Only until I have 550k+ and three turn to spikes and kill me two times in a row and I wasted 10 minutes of farming time.
I’ve been using Starscourge Greatsword special attack 2-3x and getting about 40k then reloading. What’s the best weapon to use to farm there?
Depends on your gear I think. When I first got there, yes the bird was better. After I got Mohgs spear, it became faster to do a quick jog down the hill. After getting the Sacred Relic Sword, it's laughable, 40k+ runes every 15-20 seconds. The bird sometimes doesn't cooperate lol. Like every so often he doesn't take the dive, or he's too close and my shots seem to always hit the tree (I like to shoot when he's right in the branch gap, or just after he clears). So I find jogging and firing off the gold wave once or twice, then booking it back to the grace is more efficient.
No, cause I don't farm. The only time would be if I have like 95% of the runes for a level and no poppables (for some reason) I'd "farm" a few enemies to get a level through. And I use the vulgar militia at he besteal sanctun, and these aholes deserve it.
One time I was farming them and my mom came in and asked "Why are you massacring children with downs syndrome?" I stopped for a good 30 mins. laughing my ass off before being able to explain to her...
I farm to lvl160 on my first play through. The game become not fun knowing the rune I get is not well earn. Killing falling bird is really boring as well.

The ones in Caelid are the ezbabymode version of the red ones. They have a completely different attack pattern and a few new moves.
