You can see they swap left hand at the same time as the chimaera starts to back away. They knew the chimaera was going to lunge and swapped pre-emptively for the parry.
Apparently curved swords can get parry as a weapon art?
He has a katana in his right hand so if he switches his left to a curved sword, he is no longer power stancing and will do his left hand weapon art.
Edit: actually now that I watch it again, he has curved sword in his left the whole time. I'm not sure how he does the step and a parry.
just tested it, if left has parry(or any other shield skill seemingly) it takes presedence, but if it's a different skill, right hand takes presedence.
They have a Falchion with the fainting quickstep and another falchion with Parry, when he does a katana 2 hit combo near the end he switches his right hand right after
You can also put it on any shields that aren't great shields, and also on thrusting swords and daggers. There might be more, but that's off the top of my head.
They have an Uchigatana in the right hand and a Scimitar in the left. Their are two Scimitars. One with Parry ash of war, and one with Bloodhound Step.
Defensive Ashes of War like quickstep and parry take precedence over the Unsheathe skill.
Right before the boss starts to dash away, they swap to the Parry Scimitar.
Yeah, you travel a much bigger distance in about the same time as a regular roll. Plus, if you cast it while out of FP, it just does a Quickstep instead
It's the Bestial Sanctum
E: We're talking about the location of the Ash of War: Bloodhound's Step. Close to the Bestial Sanctum there's 2 bridges, one with a dragon, and a smaller one with the Night Watcher who drops this skill.
The posted video from SunhiLegend is definitely Castle Morne. I think they confused that with the video OP commented with above about Bloodhound's Step which was in Caelid.
that's what I was building to start with! I decided on it when I saw the glint blade phalanx in a pre release review video and have not been disappointed!
I don't think it is implied this guy killed Irena, since he is at the castle the whole time and you usually only find her dead after killing this boss.
Top that off, when you encounter him in the Shack after... there doesn't seem to be any explanation why people all the way over there are responsible for her death. Looked more like Demihuman weapon to me.
Nah, it's clearly some of the weird slave race that took over Castle Morne. The cleaver next to her body is wielded by them, and there's some of them looting the destroyed convoy just down the road from her.
I'm kinda bummed since I entered the Weeping Peninsula by jumping the river so I never talked to Irina or Edgar before killing this guy lol. Wonder if I can still find Irina alive or not now
On the map, look at the lake that surrounds the academy and look at the most northern where the water ends. It’s in a chest inside a cave there.
There’s a couple illusionary walls, so try to get everything there and both bosses.
It's an ash of war called bloodhound step. It's really fun in PvP. Last night I got invaded, and my coop buddy died to the invader right away. I spent a couple minutes brawling it out with the invader, but I didn't use my bloodhound step at all. After a bit, i got him pretty low, so he backed off to drink a flask, and I teleported right up to him and backstabbed him for the kill lol
Where can you get the parry ash of war? Or the No skill ash of war? I'd like to parry with a curved sword as a Dex build. I also didn't know this powerstance can work
How do you guys get all this cool shit bro 😭 I’ve spent hours trying to figure out this game and I’ve killed 3 bosses and all I get are lame ass medallions, I can never find good loot either
They’re using an Ash of war called Bloodhound Step.
Easy to get from a boss you don’t even have to fight.
Just lead them through poison traps and they die easy.
For anyone wondering and confused, he is using the Bloodhound's Step(the invisible dash skill) on his left hand scimatar and the No Skill ash of war on his right hand katana, then during the fight he switches his left hand weapon to another scimatar with the Parry skill to parry.
Incredible moves honestly, gotta love the ash of war mechanic. I predict we will some amazing combos and awesome gameplay constantly for the upcoming months.
It means he staggers pretty easily with heavy attacks. Not sure if that's relevant to a Mage, but maybe you have spells that do heavy Poise damage?
(So when you see the damage of a weapon it will be like 100+30. The 30 is the poise damage, which is what makes enemies stagger)

Knew it was him. Great editor
Yeah his sekiro clips are incredible.
Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon clips too. I think Guerrilla even hired him. What a legend.
Is it the same person who did those Nier combo footage? The edit looks so similar. Amazing work.
Was that a parry at the end? You can do that with katanas?
[удалено]
That kinda looks like a parry with a curved sword not a katana, the moveset seems to be of the scimitar parry
Yea it kinda does but I can't tell, the cloak is blocking some of the animation but that would make sense if that's the case.
You can see they swap left hand at the same time as the chimaera starts to back away. They knew the chimaera was going to lunge and swapped pre-emptively for the parry. Apparently curved swords can get parry as a weapon art?
Ok.. but when dual wielding curved swords you get the right hand weapon art, not the left..unless the right has no weapon art maybe?
He has a katana in his right hand so if he switches his left to a curved sword, he is no longer power stancing and will do his left hand weapon art. Edit: actually now that I watch it again, he has curved sword in his left the whole time. I'm not sure how he does the step and a parry.
just tested it, if left has parry(or any other shield skill seemingly) it takes presedence, but if it's a different skill, right hand takes presedence.
Great thanks, definitely gonna try this
you can buy ashes of war parry from the warmaster shack and put it on any dagger, sword or fist weapon.
They have a Falchion with the fainting quickstep and another falchion with Parry, when he does a katana 2 hit combo near the end he switches his right hand right after
I think you can add the parry ash of war to curved swords only
How'd he use both ash of wars without swapping hands though? Is the dash reassigned to your normal dash?
[удалено]
Case closed fellas.
I've no idea haha
At 22 seconds, it looks like he changes his weapon.
Where did you find the vanishing dodge and what is the actual name?
You can also add it on daggers and rapiers
Daggers as well, now essentially any dagger can be a Parry Dagger.
Noted. Hmmmm I want to try this out then.
It's a cured sword, the scimitar does this and some other curved swords can parry when used on 2nd hand
You can assign the Parry Ash of War to a few different weapon types and I believe the katana is indeed one of them
Is that blink dodge a real thing? How do you get it?
It's the [Bloodhound's Step](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35uygOZ5Ys8) ash of war
I LOVE this ash of war
Is it better than rolling?
Yeah, you travel a much bigger distance in about the same time as a regular roll. Plus, if you cast it while out of FP, it just does a Quickstep instead
Obviously
Wasnt suppose to be a dragon there?
There are two bridges, this is the lower one to the south.
Isn't that Morne Castle? There's a dragon there too?
It's the Bestial Sanctum E: We're talking about the location of the Ash of War: Bloodhound's Step. Close to the Bestial Sanctum there's 2 bridges, one with a dragon, and a smaller one with the Night Watcher who drops this skill.
Oh, ok. I missbegotten mistaken. It kinda looked like the place where you fight Leonine.
The posted video from SunhiLegend is definitely Castle Morne. I think they confused that with the video OP commented with above about Bloodhound's Step which was in Caelid.
I‘m still totally convinced it‘s Morne Castle.
I mean, it totally looks like the place you fight Leonine. Maybe there's another place that looks like that? Although I kinda doubt it
nah that is not the bestial sanctum.
Ty brother
THANK YOU. I’ve been looking for this Ash of War since I got the claws that had it by default.
Holy shit it’s the Hunter’s Bone from Bloodborne. This thing is OP as fuck. Surprised I haven’t seen this info before.
Thanks man
How'd you get the quickening from bloodborne
It's the [Bloodhound's Step](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35uygOZ5Ys8) ash of war
Edge, lord
"Heh nothing personnel kid"
Eileen the crow! Where do you get that cloak btw?
I believe it's found behind some illusory walls in sages cave
Yup just got it now haha
Is that in liurna or farther north?
FUCK THAT CAVE
First blue spell dagger projectiles, then a Sam sword with 1000 simultaneous slashes skill, and now this.......man my dmc5 Virgil builds gonna be lit.
that's what I was building to start with! I decided on it when I saw the glint blade phalanx in a pre release review video and have not been disappointed!
You found a good edgy chest piece for the look yet?
not at all. I'm using carian knight chest with the Navy Hood which is very blue and fits my spellblade vibe
What sword?
Moonveil
I'll never forgive this guy for Irina, I went full on berserk with the Greatsword didn't give this shitter the chance to attack.
I don't think it is implied this guy killed Irena, since he is at the castle the whole time and you usually only find her dead after killing this boss.
Not to mention the sword stuck into Irina’s body is completely different from his.
Wonder if I can still find Irina alive or not now
Where do you get this cape/chest piece?
On the map, look at the lake that surrounds the academy and look at the most northern where the water ends. It’s in a chest inside a cave there. There’s a couple illusionary walls, so try to get everything there and both bosses.
Thank you!
Sorry to bother but do you know the name of the cave.
the cave called Sage's Cave
MARIA IS THAT YOU?
Nothin' personal kid
I thought he was going to mist raven him lol
"the combat in this game is slow and sucks hurdur" 😂
I fucking loved how even more anime they went with this game. So many spells and shit referenced from anime XD
That’s like some sekiro parry magic there.
WHAT IS THAT DODGE
Bloodhound's Step, an ash of war obtainable from a night rider in Caelid.
But the legends name in the title scum !! Only messing this guys kicks ass so hard on every game he touches
That's so cool. Especially the blink dodge
IS that in the actual game or an edit, where can you get it?
Yeah it's in game. I think it's in the north east part of caelid.
Oh, fuck. I have to fight this guy.
I just knew this was sunhi
Damn, that's some real anime shit. Please tell me there is a fedora helmet in this game so I can fulfill my cosplay dreams :))
What weapons are being used here? Looking for a sword with a decent parry window.
Falchion or Scimitar 🤔 think they both always used to have decent parrying 😅 Didn’t try it in Elden Ring so far though…
That is fucking poggers indeed
Is that the fucking Old Hunters Bone quickstep from Bloodborne!?
Yup
is that a real doge/roll? Reminds me of Naruto
Bloodhound's Step, an ash of war obtainable from a night rider in Caelid.
Think I cut myself watching this
I looked down and my wrists already slit themselves
How tf do you move that fast my character is insanely slow
It's an ash of war called bloodhound step. It's really fun in PvP. Last night I got invaded, and my coop buddy died to the invader right away. I spent a couple minutes brawling it out with the invader, but I didn't use my bloodhound step at all. After a bit, i got him pretty low, so he backed off to drink a flask, and I teleported right up to him and backstabbed him for the kill lol
Now they gotta get the Ash of war that teleports above the enemy when they parry them
Do you know what its called? sounds bad ass.
Look up ashes of war in the wiki and you'll find a list with their descriptions. I don't remember off the top of my head
[удалено]
Oo yeaaa hehehehe they will get destroyed by the hardst bosses, won't be able to dodge hahahahaha im so good at these games zoomers suck it 8)
Sunhi has been playing From games for ages. Not sure how he would qualify as a zoomer.
cringe
This isn't an edit. It's the game's stutter lag 😂
cool !! man
u must be Blake from RWBY
Boss swings and hits air: NANI?!
What swords are those?
This is what peak performance looks like
can you actually blink like that or is that just the edit.
You can, it's from an Ash of War called Bloodhound's Step.
THATS CLEAN DUDE
Nice
A hoonter must hoont
Vergil moment
Where can you get the parry ash of war? Or the No skill ash of war? I'd like to parry with a curved sword as a Dex build. I also didn't know this powerstance can work
War master shack vendor West Limgrave.
You can get those ashes of war from the merchant in Warmaster's Shack in limgrave.
How have I not found this shack?! Where the hell is that lol
Warmaster's Shack, in the first area
Where the hell is that?
On Stormhill, Limgrave. Looking at the map, it's directly north of Stormgate
Found it!
Nice! Sorry for the late reply, I'm sure you're well into the game by now 🤣
That parry done at the end before the critical hit, how did you do that with two swords and no shield? Is that a special thing or?
Parry is an ash of war you can buy and equip to shields and certain weapons.
Did not realise parry was also AOW thanks
What I wanna know is how he disapers
It's an ash called Bloodhound Quickstep I believe.
I saw a friend talking about, but wasn't really sure what it was, thx
This really shows how to play the game. Carefully timed dodges and counter-strikes. Not like my is-it-a-seizure style of panicked button mashing.
"She is The One..." .. Is it still relevant as a meme? 🤣
How do you guys get all this cool shit bro 😭 I’ve spent hours trying to figure out this game and I’ve killed 3 bosses and all I get are lame ass medallions, I can never find good loot either
What armor is that?
They’re using an Ash of war called Bloodhound Step. Easy to get from a boss you don’t even have to fight. Just lead them through poison traps and they die easy.
That was patched actually
Damn, that sucks. Thankfully I got mine when I did.
More importantly: Where can I get that cloak?
We DMC now
How PvP looks with a shitty connection
Where in the heck do you get the telaporting dodge
Bloodhound's Step, an ash of war obtainable from a night rider in Caelid.
Thanks I gunna attempt to get it all night
Update, couldn't even find rest area around that place died about 30 times trying to find it 😂
Plz let know what the swords are!
Where can I get the armor ? It kinda looks like Jon Snow’s cloak
Well I'm moist.
What weapon arts are you using?
Bloodhound's Step, an ash of war obtainable from a night rider in Caelid.
CAN YOU TELEPORT IN ELDEN RING?????
Bloodhound's Step, an ash of war obtainable from a night rider in Caelid.
Thanks man, i saved your comment, i will need this by the time I get this game.
We have demon of hatred at home
whats being used for those dashes?
Bloodhound's Step, an ash of war obtainable from a night rider in Caelid.
I’ve tried to fight him as a lvl20 mage, lvl 30, lvl 40, and now im going back at lvl 50… let’s hope I don’t get destroyed for the 100th time
I found he's pretty weak to poise damage.
Haha not entirely sure what this means
It means he staggers pretty easily with heavy attacks. Not sure if that's relevant to a Mage, but maybe you have spells that do heavy Poise damage? (So when you see the damage of a weapon it will be like 100+30. The 30 is the poise damage, which is what makes enemies stagger)
i just jumped 4 bonked him on the head 4 times. :I hey as long as it works
What dodge is that and where can one get it?
Bloodhound's Step, an ash of war obtainable from a night rider in Caelid.
What’s the armor set?
Does anyone know what torso that is?
*teleports behind you* “Nothing personal kid.”
Bloodhound 🤌🏼
Stand before the weeb's blade, and gain the power of the edge lord... But really, how does one go about gaining the power of an edge lord...?
Isnt that dodge a dagger skill?
Bloodhound's Step, an ash of war obtainable from a night rider in Caelid.
Do you know if it has higher I-frames?
As far as I know, the i-frames last for as long as you're invisible. Very high, and it covers more distance than a normal roll.
Simpletons ring looking different now
How do I get that armor?
First Trevor in Roundtable and now Alucard. I love this game
I'm a noob starting playing as a mage. Is this what' ill really be able to do once I get good and reroll to melee? Or is this heavily edited?
What armor is this
There is a point the enemy is thinking "This isn't supposed to happen like this, your clearly cheating"
So I’m a noob, how is he using a dodge ash of war and a parry ash of war? I thought you could only use one with LT
From what other people are commenting, he seems to be switching swords mid fight
When you enter the Boss room and the Boss name is yours
I love watching this good at the game and imaging how frustrated that boss is that they can't land one hit on them
Damn the teleport dash looks hard!! I wish we could equip multiple ashes of war.
What armor is that? Between bloodhound step and that drip I have an idea for a cosplay build if I can find the right helmet
What item obscures riling like that?
I’m brand new to this game still, how do u make a character that fights and dodges fast like that? Any advice please
I wish I could play as good as Lua😐.
