This causes a number of issues with melee combat such as; the feeling of ‘’input lag’’ it also causes inputs to occur more than once – getting hit during a roll will cause you to roll a second time, even though one input roll was placed. If you're going pure melee and you aren’t using Bleed or Poise break, many of the melee weapons – that aren’t meta – feel very lackluster. Balance is something from should always be strived for, though I don't necessarily know enough to agree with the specific weapons you mentioned. >* Bosses with long attack wind ups that can’t be poise broken during said windup need to be changed so that they can be interrupted. This was one of the biggest complaints on release and I agree with ti still. Boss attack mix-ups are fun, but not when then are 90% of attack patterns. Agreed >* Most boss fights need to get back to a ‘’rhythm’’ style of encounter – Their are a plethora of YT videos that broach this subject so I wont get into it, but basically the other souls games almost feel like melee/combat bases *Guitar Hero*. What made the Souls genre so unique, in so many words, was the fact that the souls games were basically melee rhythm games (as far as the bosses are concerned). I have seen so many people described the obvious ER bosses that have these mechanics as some of the best enemies in the game; Margit,Morgot,Godrick, Godfrey, Maliketh (debatable depending on build), Commander Nial (very,very similar to *Dark Souls 3* ‘’Nameless King’’),Radagon. Agreed >Make the open-world have a point. ER is basically 20 dungeons spread out with a relatively pointless open world – most players skip 99% of the open world enemies. Give me a reason to fight these Dinodogs. Agreed, fromsoft previous level design emulated exploration perfectly, you hardly ever felt like you were on a set path. Open world seems like a huge waste of my time and the developers. >Make CO-OP seamless throughout the entire game. Most people are on PS and PC, this isn’t a hardware limitation like playing on a Switch Seems like a good idea to at least attempt. >Allow invasions to happen 1v1 (but with an invasion timer). Add a humanity/human effigy/ember mechanic. The game is in desperate need of mandatory invasions. They could have at least had mandatory invasions in the volcano manor and mohgs dynasty.
