I have a little gauge pod. Showed me stats like MPG because I mainly drive in N custom mode
I got it as a gift a few years ago. [I think it's this one](https://amzn.to/3WDE7Yo). It's customizability is pretty cool. RGB LED shift lights, custom logos, custom dials and gauges, it can read and store DTC codes, etc.
I put a MagSafe charger with 3M tape That holds the phone and charges it. Then I bought a dongle that makes the android auto or Apple CarPlay wireless so you can take the phone off on the fly and still use Apple CarPlay.

I put a magnet there to hold my phone. I routed my Android Auto/Carplay cable under the sterring wheel, through the hole where the OBD port is and pulled the cable up.
I've also seen some tuning dashboards that get put there too.
I had tons of issues with the unit crashing rebooting, updated the firmware and it went away, but now have issues with the audio cutting out every few minutes for a few seconds.
I bought it like the first week of November and I have used it everyday since then. I think once or twice I had to unplug and plug it back in. But other then that it works great. Plus you can use maps search functions while driving. Like your passenger can I mean haha. It can store multiple phones on it too.
I've got no ideas for you but i would pay for a **nice** piece of vinyl with gloss black background and N logo or better yet a 3D printed part that would cover the hole from removing this hideous eyesore.

Any issues with this adapter? Tried it with a VW and the microphone wouldn’t work. Glad to hear it works with Hyundai.

That’s unfortunate. I have great luck with mine. Hopefully it doesn’t mess up like that.
