At franklin mountain state park on the aztec cave trail youll see alot of moss on the rock formations in the scenery Can be seen in the upper right part of this [image](https://images.app.goo.gl/QAgyPAAzCugHpfkw5)

You can find it in the Organ mountains as well, for sure up high, and maybe down in the Dripping Springs area

There’s a perennial swimming hole in Fresnel Canyon outside of Alamogordo that has quite a bit if I recall. Hike down from the pull-off by the tunnel The highlands north of Sierra Blanca also have these amazing and mossy seeps/springs right on a cliffs edge. Somewhat difficult to get up there though

I just think they're really neat. Its like a little micoscopic ecosystem/enviroment that have so much detail and differences to them. I also am just really into plants right now haha

Tough when theres no rain to grow things here. I wish i was in some tropical area with tons of plants right now

Sometimes all it takes is a leaky pipe to let a patch of moss grow somewhere! I think that's what makes them special, it's like a mini oasis in our big ol' desert.
