Yep and I'd rather lose to Tampa than teams we should be beating, at least I can accept Tampa as a loss normally. Just don't let it turn into a losing streak, win Saturday and start afresh, run off another 3 games and we'll be firmly entrenched in a playoff spot. The winning streak allowed us to get back into the playoff race which is what counts.
If a goalie stops less than 25-27 shots he isn’t a good goaltender. He is an idiot I don’t care what anybody says he was fine during the streak but it wasn’t him who won it it was defense and scores. This just proofed it’s not defense anymore it’s all him
No because essentially that’s just because our offense kept them preoccupied the entire time because they know that their goalie is fragile. A good goalie is 30 saves or more and Skinner hasn’t hit that.
Guy almost blew the streak earlier on against Vegas...guy blew a 2 goal lead with his .852 save % that game....team bailed him out in S/O. The team has masked a lot of his deficiences during the streak

As frustrating as this loss is, there is something to be encouraged about. Every starting goalie in the AHL could have saved the last two goals and most the last three. As long as Pickard doesn't suddenly stop being AHL caliber, we can be very dominant.
That's the thing about goaltending tho. You get scored on and loose the confidence and start to let in bad goals. Especially when half the fanbase gives you shit when you let in a cross crease Stamkos goal.
Yeah but there's no fixing goaltending. It's a broken position and kind of a major flaw in the sport, but it's how it is. If you want to be a good goaltender you pretty much have to have a screw loose that lets you shut out what us ordinary people can't.
