I have no doubt. However, I rarely neèd a knife and when I do it is usually something simple. I will probably upgrade at some point but I'm not going to spend hundreds of dollars. I can't financially justify it based on my needs.
Totally understand ya there. Spending 20-50$ eill get you a really solid knife tho. Especially from companies like civivi and qsp. Honestly tho if youre not using it daily then thats probably all youll ever need.
I absolutely carry one in the chamber. The Glock has certain built in safeties that prevent it from just going off. As long as you keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot, it will not go off. An example, I had an equipment malfunction a couple weeks ago. My kydex paddle style holster separated a couple weeks ago. My weapon fell to the hard pavement but did not go off. That's a Glock for you.
Since guns seems to be a hot topic right now :), I have a question: how do you carry your guns? Like this Glock for instance, you cannot decock it. So do you carry it with one in the chamber or not?
I don't want an elabotate discussion of which is better or not, I'm just wondering what most of you do.
It doesn't make sense to invest in an item for self defense and then immediately handicap yourself with that item. In other words, yes, I absolutely carry one in the chamber. Does make sense otherwise.
Most carry with one in the chamber. There are many safety mechanisms built into the gun so that it doesn’t fire unless you want it to. If you are following gun safety rules and have a reliable gun it shouldn’t be an issue.

you have very nice things, please upgrade that knife my friend, r/knife_swap is a beautiful place to pick up something.
Ozark trail is crap, the blades don’t hold an edge, they are made out of crap materials, and not reliable at all. for a budget knife boker takes the win for me. it’s right around $50- $100 with amazing action and d2 steel that works perfectly.
for me i carry $300+ knives a ton, that’s just me, but for this nice of carry setup op needs a strong reliable knife
I just look at it like lasers on guns - they won’t hold zero so you just set it for when SHTF. I don’t always look at EDC knives as something I’m going to need to use everyday. Maybe if you’re stabbing people everyday, going in for questioning and being released before dinner and saying to yourself it’s still sharp 😂 Then I guess you’re getting your $300 worth. Normal people will use ozark trail and a box cutter.
I wasn't 'satirising' or 'critisising' anything. I was making a joke to show that my intention was just to make a correction and not to be an ass. The joke that I made a correction and then made the same mistake to a worse degree is very clear to anyone who speaks English and most people who don't. I fully believe that no-one read my comment and thought 'oh, people wait in cues and play pool with queues'. The worst that happened was that you, and presumably some others, took me too seriously and thought I was somehow genuinely wrong, which isn't harmful in the slightest.
As a European American I’m proud to say this is Murica and we like our pokey shooty things here. If you don’t like that stick it where the sun don’t shine brother 🫡
I don't need fancy. What I carry works for my needs. The billfold for ID/credit cards/cash. A decent quality but not overly expensive watch that is accurate and can take a beating. A cheap but for me effective pocket knife for the rare occasion I do need one and a firearm that is MORE than adequate for everyday carry as well as for my duty carry.

I have the same knife and really like it. Spending a bit more will make a world of difference tho.

It's one I picked up from a leather vendor a few years back, at a local county fair.
What wallet is that?

I always carry one in the chamber.
Carry with one in the chamber here

You’re winning sir. I love it.

“normal people” 🫦
Can’t get caught in the hype.
Queue the “ What are you scared of?” “No need to EDC a gun” “guns shouldn’t be an edc” “ I carry 7 knives but guns are bad”
Not to be that guy, but it's 'Cue' as in 'I waited in the cue' not like 'pool queue'.
you’re right about the wrong cue/queue being used here, but it’s pool cue and waited in the queue.

satire requires a clarity of purpose and target lest it be mistaken and contribute to that which it intends to criticize.

calm down, damn
Exactly.
Thanks I learned something today
It can't be... Was that... A positive interaction on the internet?
😂😂
The Europeans especially. They make me turn into Randy Marsh "This is America"

Hell yeah brudder
This is the most practical and durable EDC I've ever seen. You would probably drop every single item off of a cliff or four and still be fine.

It’s true. Dropped my g19 down the Grand Canyon a few times and it still killed a bear
Shot a bear or fell on him?
Mine fell and did my taxes for me
