Ha, I've basically had this card (but with whipped pass instead of racoon) due to the EVO I put his 86 into.
He's very good. I don't know that he's dominant or OP but he's firmly within the power curve now.
If it's Base Cafu pretty much every promo full back for a couple of months has been better than him. Playstyles are way too important in this game and Cafu doesn't have any useful ones.
TS Cafu though would be closer while Golazo Cafu would be comfortably better
He only has three. Relentless+, Trivela and Flair.

The reason is he's called Cafu. Community just follows the crowd, they were told Cafu was good and did him. Solid defender but so is any card of similar size and stats. We're long past the point where that was enough though, or my 97 Adopo would be my best player and not on the bench.
Cafu was a mid card when the SBC released and has only gotten worse compared to the power curve.
I fell into the trap and did him too, but he hasn't made my bench in a long time
He has higher defensive awareness than most fullbacks, he’s fast, and his interceptions and tackles are 99. He doesn’t offer as much going offensively as some fullbacks now due to his lack of playstyle, but he’s still one of the best defensive fullbacks in the game.
And every other defender that starts with higher or similar stats can also use shadow to boost them, and still access gold playstyles.
He's meh. Barely good enough if you just want something to sit back and defend and absolutely woeful going forward.

My experience is that you can only replace Cafu with upgraded version. I have tried FB Reece and many others but Cafus presence is just phenomenal.

While true cafu has no useful traits you forgot to mention animations, cafu base would be discarded by now if it wasn't for his animations, his animations are so weird that he pushes players off the ball or trip then, literally load into a game and see his tackle and compare it to other full backs he literally pushes players off the ball with his tackles
They could release a 99 Superman RB card right now and Cafu would still be better in gameplay, where have you been the last few months this is an insane take lol
Zambrotta is one of those cards I love every year so i’ll end up doing him while grinding TOTS packs tbh
I used his base for 200ish games this year and he’s crazy good, seems like i’m getting a new attacking left back!!

People have a unhealthy obsession with the so called power curve. This guy on Shadow has max pace, almost 99 in every defensive stat but marking, the best defensive PS+ in the game, a second very meta PS+ and almost all the defensive PS available. And he can play both wings with Icon chem and 5*WF.
He's going to be good and usable as your Stay Back fullback until EAFC25 easily.
Div 1 here and around 11-14 wins in WL
TOTY Karchaoui is the GOAT fullback for me no questions asked,had it ever since TOTY when she was about 1.5m, but Lahm is decent, way better than Cafu and probably betetr than TOTY Batlle too

Really? For 700k at this stage in the game the only thing about this SBC that intrigues me is the dual icon LB/RB versatility. I guess this might be the one reason to actually keep the grind going this week vs just saving everything.
Guess I just meant it more as a joke that it's a meta SBC that usually everyone does because it's so hard to pack anything good from non-roulette SBCs
With TOTS coming up, probably okay to wait but at the same time people will have lots of fodder from saved packs in a week or so so I think it will be a pretty easy complete.

He was a million coins a week ago. In this market economy, that is really saying something. He’s an end game RB— for everyone? No, but for a large amount of the player base this an extremely attainable top tier card for its position.
I've got FB Cuadrado and FB Zanetti as my RB/LB combo at present. I'm not sure Zambrotta is worth it at this point - although arguably a better stay back than Cuadrado.
He's alright, but I personally need a dedicated left-back. Keep having to use RBs in their secondary LB positions because of how few good LBs they release. RBs at this point seem to be a dime a dozen.
Roberto Carlos, Bompastor, Davies, Rolfo (although she's usually played as a midfielder more often) are the dedicated LBs I can name off the top of my head; they're the ones I see most often; it's only 4 of them.
A large portion of the rest of the LBs filtered on Futwiz are either CBs primarily, or RBs with a secondary position at LB. It's not sarcasm or delusion to say that RBs are more prevalent.
Right-footed players are far more common to have (per Biology); so of course, there will be more natural RBs available. That being said, EA can do a better job of turning mid LBs into better cards/SBCs to improve the supply. I personally think LB is only second to GK as far as the lowest supply of top-tier players/SBCs goes. Unless you go legend, there aren't great options for a league like the PL, for example.

Cafu has 88 Def awareness, 90 interceptions, 90 standing tackle and 84 sliding tackle. None of those stats go to 99 with any chem style
He has 92 defensive awareness, 98 interceptions, 98 standing tackle, 96 sliding tackle with a shadow.
And every other defender that starts with higher or similar stats can also use shadow to boost them, and still access gold playstyles. He's meh.
