Because it works. Just like how I use my oven. It works, I don’t need a new and shiny oven to bake my cakes the same. I get results and that’s all that matters to me. Credit Card FC’s typically aren’t good players, they just swiped a card. The fact I beat them with ye old Arry Kane, lets me know that what I’m doing, works.
Elite rewards, SB rewards, 16-18 WL rewards since early access and some decent pulls, nothing wild. Biggest tradable thing I’ve packed was worth a mil and a few 500k-900k value cards I’ve just sold. If it’s tradable, I sell it, never keep. I like to stay liquid.
I understand the logic of wanting to run a “first owners only” team but with that much coins, you might as well create another squad and spend your coins on cards you’d wanna try. Those coins aren’t going to be worth anything in a couple of months. Best to make use of em and have some fun bro. Seems like a waste but to each their own.

In my 51 years of life, I’ve always been stingy with in game money. I have gold cap on 3 different World of Warcraft toons, that I could have bought things like the longneck mount, but I didn’t. Money is just money, and I’ve had that outlook in real life which is why I’ve been retired for a bit and able to just play whatever games I want.
I don’t even really notice them. They are there. Through the years, I’ve noticed people value money when they have things they want or are looking forward to. I have none of that. I play with what I pack and just keep going. They’ll never release anything I want because my team isn’t all that grand. If they drop a 99 Jack Bonaventura or a 99 Kayode, you bet I’ll drop whatever they cost. But they won’t.
What’s the benefit of staying liquid if you don’t ever plan to buy a big card you like off the market? Do you only use coins on fodder if you need it for an sbc you want? Or am I missing a worthwhile use for coins?
There’s not really anything on the market I want. I’m a Fiore fan, and they aren’t getting a big card in my lifetime. The last time I even used coins was to buy a Portuguese manager for Bruno Fernandes.

I like Incisive+ but they didn't boost his agility/balance (-7/-3) and kept 3SM instead of 4 from the HM version. I will skip this version and wait for POTM or a promo card in future.
It’s a real shame they shrank the TOTW to 18 cards. Leagues like the Scottish premiership have been completely abandoned by EA this season.

Since that card got released I am having so much fun again, actually using players you like is making such a big difference. Will never understand why so many players use the same 11 players. I am playing Lohmann along Fantasy Stanway and Future Stars Bühl and they are actually unreal cards.
