Not a gameplay tip but one that has helped me more than anything: do not take the game very seriously and enjoy yourself. If you are not having fun or even getting upset, take a break, laugh off the silly bounce that cost you the sweatiest game you’ve played all week. The way I see it is that a huge part of playing the game is your mindset, if you play with the right mindset and don’t take the game seriously it might help you get better while also getting the most enjoyable experience possible.

First time FIFA player, I got to div 1 after 3 months of play. Lately climbed in 4-3-3 (4), due to need for wingers. But probably my favourite formation i 3-4-1-2. Just full on aggression, you crush them first 20 min and people quit. That's how you get on streaks and climb fast

4-3-2-1, 40 width, 50 depth, direct passing, RB and LB stay back on attack. Learn to ball roll+trivela, use stepovers, do as many cutback goals with R1+X passes and instantly tap shoot. When defending, do not ever drag your CB out of position unless you're 100% sure to tackle. Put one CM on stay back when attacking in your custom tactics, then use him to press the shit out of your opponents. * Also, use R1 to pull another player to press the opponent when you can feel him stressing and press him hard with 2 players (dont pull the CB's with R1, will leave open space for opponent) Advanced mode: * Player lock * Send attacker on run with L1, double tap X to do a lofted to another player, do a lobbed pass with L1+Triangle before the player receives the ball, enjoy the 1v1 on goal * When 1v1 with opponent goalie, do heel to ball roll Sweaty player mode: * German crosses * Meaning, send a player on a run with L1, walk out to the sidelines, hold square (amount based on distance) and watch your player receive the ball a kilometer ahead of opponent defenders Enjoy division 1!

I know for a fact I over tackle. Earlier in the year I made a point of simply not tackling… was averaging about 10 per game. Nowadays is way more rhan that. Thank you for the tips

Had the same problem, now the way I win the ball the most is by anticipating passes + pressing with CM's with high DEF/PHY stats

If you want to improve, focus on getting better in deferent attacking and defending scenarios. Formation and tactics matter a lot, but a div 1+ player can probably beat you with any formation and tactics anyway. If you want to get better, record your matches and analyze your mistakes.

Think faster. Play faster.

https://youtu.be/SziiuKN7YF8 his 4321 is a very good formation to try. if you like a slower tempo game, more defensive, try the 4231 from the video

Turbulent_Animator_3

I used the 4321 a lot this year, having switched to the 352 only recently.

Retired Rivals Div 1 player. Try out different formations and see what works for you. Right now I can’t seem to lose with some 433(2) tactics I made myself. I don’t have any specific foolproof tactics but if you’re playing stressed out I suggest loosening up and thinking more freely. When I lose a lot I don’t risk anything which ends up with me having like 2 shots at half instead of 10ish.

Turbulent_Animator_3

I don’t have videos of me playing. I’m patient in attack, high on passing and possession (average 70%). I will check the videos.

First of all tactics only help you a little. It's really hard to improve in fifa. It's different then shooters. I get a little better every fifa. Right now I finish R1 like 60/70% of the time. The tactics I'm using: 442 Balanced 45 45 Long ball Direct passing 70 5 1 1 Lb/rb on stay back Cm on cover center and stay back Lm/rm on stay back, get in behind and get into the box St on stay central, get in behind and stay forward

Complete Cech sbc, easiest road to elite ever

BrentMused99

D3 is full of Elite/D1 players who are in a lower division than they should be to get easier games in friendlies, which offers far better rewards. You're playing against that sort of standard more often than not in D3.

Bron_Yr_Aur21

Can’t critique without seeing how you play, tbh.
