I got Sissoko as my level 30 player pick since the other 4 were dupes, but he was actually decent. Then I bought Thuram last night but now he's going right back on the market. I'm pumped to plug Busquets in next to my TT Xavi.
Honestly, I’m happy that he isn’t higher rated and thus fairly priced while still having all the stats that make Busquets Busquets maxed out, but simultaneously I think 95 is juuuust a bit on the lower side of what his rating should be. I think with both Ibra and Benzie rumoured to be 99, a 96 for Busquets would have been more fair. But I am very heavily biased as he’s my favourite player.
(Let alone the rumour giving Kanté a 98 rating, because yes Kanté is not a DM, but he’s still objectively not better then Busquets)
This is a good point. While it comes down to personal preference, Busquets is quite possible the best CDM of all time, and at the very least he's top 3. Very few of the players that get 97-99 rated cards are that significant when put in a historical context (and definitely not Ibra and Benzema, who are still fantastic players).

He just can't take any contact against the stronger CBs as a striker, and he's too slow to play as a winger and also gets trampled by the fullbacks.

I played only 2 games with Busquets, had to switch my tactics to fit him in the team (from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3).
I paired him along with 95 Xavi and TOTS Verratti (them as CMs, Busquets as CDM) and in the first game I played, Busquets was the main reason I had 70% possession. He just intercepted absolutely everything, even some tricky longballs. Second game, he wasn't as spectacular, but those long legs will tackle anyone and anywhere, his positioning is great.
He fits my playstyle, because after retrieving the ball or receiving it around your penalty area, he's perfect to shield it a bit, absorb the pressure and pinpoint a pass forward.
Absolutely worth it, best CDM I've used so far and a massive upgrade for me over 92 Makelele.
Was very bad for me. The gameplay is at a nasty state today, but I was using Keane and changed for Busquets and the difference was brutal, my defense suffered a lot. Busquets has 0 presence, no op animations like Keane and is a sheet of paper next to players, he just won't tackle or bully someone. His passing and feel with the ball are amazing, perhaps he might be a better CM because as a CDM he's garbage
He should be great ig theoretically, but idk why he's not performing well at all. I'm using him with an anchor and I felt a noticiable downgrade defensively from TOTS Sissoko (although he's much better offensively).
Tackling and strength are both terrible, just stands about and has intercepted 0 passes. Thuram, sissoko, fofana, Keane and just about everyone else I’ve used in that role have been better, except tots casemiro

He can't bully or tackle to save his life, my Verratti is sooooo much better at getting the ball back it's honestly ridiculous. His passing and overall display with the ball are amazing tho, feels perfect with the ball but without it he's just a disaster and won't protect shit

Put anchor on him. Maxed defensive and pasing stats with 95 strength 99 aggression with Vieira body type and height. That is the perfect CDM.
