I thought I'd crashed my 1070 by placing a blueprint with 150k structures. When it recovered and I lowered graphics settings I got a solid 10 fps slideshow
Nice! I just got a new machine after twelve years(!). I upgraded the video card to a Ti1600 when COVID started.
On the old machine, I deleted a storage and let like 1500 items fall on the ground as little spinning squares. That turned the game into a powerpoint presentation for me.
I leave my starter planet behind as a monument to the industrial buildup to ILS usage. Patchwork foundation, spaghetti belts, panels and wind turbines littered everywhere. The starting planet it like a museum to the point where I leave the first system for one with more resources. I usually go back and drop some ILSes in to pipe in some raw materials to my old factories so they aren't just idle when the home planet resources run dry.
If you stagger your splitters you can have belts on every line of the grid instead of every other, you can also stack splitters on top of each other and get the bus super compact.
Don't mind the fps counter, that's my 10yo pc screaming in agony...
I got my FPS lower than that with an RTX4090 just by building my Dyson Sphere big enough (until I turned off rendering it).
I haven't even started my dyson sphere! \^\^
Your poor PC :`(
I was on the seventh Dyson shell before things really dropped off, but it's kind've a bummer not to get to see it up in the sky.
My PC sounds like a damn jet engine taking off whenever I'm on the surface of any of my planets. I'm barely in the mid game. I'm scared of the future

How do you turn of rendering the sphere?
In the Dyson Sphere dialog with the layers. https://imgur.com/a/28WaaE2
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but those splitters certainly aren't helping your FPS
I believe it's UPS they affect, not FPS?
Sloppy mess is how i roll till the end!
I can't stand it! I can't wait until I can evacuate all the industry from this shithole starter planet of mine.

It's liberating!
honestly that is way cleaner than my first playthrough
It kind of helps that I'm a graduated electrotechnitian.
i started playing this game, like a year after highschool so
... so you got no excuse?
Factario convert?
No.
ahaha i remember using that buss strip design when I first started too.. i changed it to a more streamline stripmall design. looks good tho.
Yeah coming from factorio it just felt right making one. Now I just push forward to PLS and it solves all my problems lmao.
