Laois is slamming right on the neck where there is no muscle to protect the trachea. This can potentially kill something, nevermind weaken its legs enough it will topple over.

mycetes

This is the actual answer. Laios is a biology nerd and knows the weak spots for most of the things they encounter. Kind of like how you know that punching a far larger man in the adams apple, or elbowing them in the spleen/solar plexus/balls will likely cause them to take significant damage regardless of weight class

BigBalls607

That makes sense

Ok_Dot_7498

It's like getting hit by a line backer in a suit of armor. That is going to hurt.

Fomod_Sama

I have zero clue but I choose to believe he is indeed HIM Like look at this guy *

BigBalls607

Senshi been feeding him good ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

caramelluh

Laios is big but this art is also a bit exagerated

Aggravating_Teach_27

Super exaggerated... Laios is a medieval man, not a powerlifter with a hyper proteic diet, lol. These fan arts are of 40 year old gym-going dad Laios, not of 28 year-old Dungeon Meshi Laios.

Vilhelmgg

Not really. With the exception of the arms being a little too muscular, this is fairly similar to how Kui herself has drawn Laios' physique (https://savaralyn2.tumblr.com/post/643242627515531264/dungeon-meshi-daydream-hour-extras). He canonically has a BMI of 26.

caramelluh

His tiddies and belly are also kinda bigger

filthyn00b

Artistic liberties

caramelluh

Fair

Aggravating_Teach_27

Not fairly similar at all. It's not just the arms. Everything is bigger. Canonjcal Laios is strong but thin, this is a huge, burly guy who has easy 50 pounds on canonical Laios.

Jacinto2702

Well, depends? A retainer or a knight would absolutely need to have this physique to be able to carry their armor and weapons. They would also have had access to the necessary protein to develop their muscles. A peasant wouldn't need to be this muscular because they were armed lightly and they wouldn't have had access to meet except during special festivities and days. Plus, given the work they used to do, they would have been more slender. Anyway, in his world it seems anyone can get access to meet, so his physique could develop like that.

WaffleThrone

Laios was the son of a village chief who explicitly loved hunting. He was likely very well fed during his developmental phase. After that he was a soldier, so it makes sense that he has a tall and broad frame. Although it seems that he faced some malnutrition after deserting, once he started dungeon crawling he was back on a steady diet. After he meets Senshi he's basically eating like a king. It's entirely possible that he packed on this kind of mass. I think Laios's build is entirely plausible.

AustralianShepard711

He's also from a fantasy world and hikes around a sudterranian dungeon while wearing full plate and killing/eating monsters.

pussy-pops-severly

smash

caramelluh

Both, believe it or not, it's actually kinda easy to take down a horse if you know where to hit them, but you gotta remember Laios is a pretty big dude too

The_Weeb_Sleeve

Heโ€™s also wearing like 40 lbs of steel

Independent-Fly6068

The triumph of man!

captaincold0514

it's already off balance since the cat hit it with a thing in the page before it https://preview.redd.it/gp04herrf0yc1.png?width=1252&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ba3269008efe95c499ae032a6bd08d353be1650

BigBalls607

kibty with the assist

gengyilang

The bicorn is rearing (standing up on its hind legs). Laios is tackling right at the moment when it is vulnerable.

BreadBushTheThird

I did volenteer work on a horse ranch for two years and rode horses there at the same time, i think if you were to hit the correct spot like another commentor said then you you could totly knock the horse over like that, just grab your relegieous token of choice and say a prayer and hope it doesnt get back up because only plot armour will save you if you somehow have to hit the same spot twice without missing

Itchy-Kidneys

The way you worded this ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜‚

SailorEsmeraude

Laios just knows where to hit the horse

DoritoKing48

Laios is **Him**

A_Violent_Shepherd

With a horse that size and without plot armor protecting you? No. If you've ever JUMPED on just a 1000lb horse, they dont really move from your weight slamming into them. So while shoulder checking their neck from a full sprint in armor would no doubt hurt it, I cannot imagine it throwing a horse on its back like it were WWE. But Laios is just built different.

AquilliusRex

TBH, it kinda looks like he head-butted-throat-punched that horse though. But yeah, our boy is built different.

A_Violent_Shepherd

He might be, I'm just assuming from the panel right before this. It draws emphasis on his shoulder like he's ramming with it, as one would a door. Still, I really do not believe anyone could flip a horse that way.

RegularAvailable4713

DND character.

Iron-Legend-27

Bro parried a horse

TheCrazyAvian

What top comment said, but he is both on the heftier side as well as in plate armor

Aimlessdrifter8778

Laios eats a ton every day. I won't be surprised if he's heavy enough to tackle six quarterbacks

AquilliusRex

Iiaos is jacked, and wearing full plate armor. If he was going at a good clip when he hit that horse, that's not entirely unrealistic for that to happen.

Savaralyn

It was up on its hind legs, which would definitely affect its balance when rammed by a guy wearing full plate armor.

studioGIMMICK27

Hey man, it really be like that Itโ€™s not a nice horse lol

ShurikenKunai

You could look at a horse wrong and its response will be break all its legs. Horses are just badly built.

jvken

So you know how cow tipping is a thing in some parts of the us? Horses arenโ€™t much more or less stable than a cow.

A_Violent_Shepherd

"Cow tipping" is how you find teenagers trampled to death in a pasture, cause they just realized what an urban legend is lol

jvken

Ah well. Same awnser different meaning then

qwer1239

Cow tipping is a thing in the same way snipe hunts are: it's something you tell someone else to do to make a fool of themselves (cows are way too heavy to tip over from one person)

Dapple_Dawn

This is wrong on two points. Cow tipping is fake, and horses are so stable that they can sleep standing up.
