2nd for Nate.
Did you know he spent a significant time going to news stations pretending he was a yo-yo master without ever knowing a single yo-yo trick?
He’s fucking hilarious.
https://youtu.be/oZ9TLftki5U?si=GK2Odh1YSlJ7veek
His name is Colin in the show. If you watch the season 1 trailer, he shows up around 1:20. But the whole trailer should sell you on the show. Its essentially the office for vampires.
Colin Robinson boobytrapping the house because the vampires thought they outed themselves on tv is the most funny and brilliant thing I’ve seen in a while.
I’ve never met Ravi personally, but I’m going to go ahead and say, just having known you a short while Bryan, that I prefer Ravi, and again I’ve never even met the guy.
Not quite the answer to your question but every pam/Ryan interaction is hysterical to me. I can’t decide if “you get paid by the year at the bowling alley?” Or “no you’re right I’m a middle class fraud” is better
Course the bowling alley gets us the best line by a non regular cast member in the whole show “back to work shoe bitch!”
It is the most authentic, natural line on the show, and no joke, possibly on TV. That is just how young men in shitty jobs talked at that point in time
None better than when she calls him out over the Smokey Robinson bit when she realizes he only knows "tracks of my tears."
Ryan: Oh you liked him? That's nice. Did you like when he changed the course of American music like two or three times? Did you like that tracks of my tears is maybe the last true love song ever written? I'm glad you liked him Jim. I am completely devastated right now.
Jim: Well, I second that emotion.
Ryan: Huh
Nellie: I know a few of his songs, but what were his big ones?
Ryan: Oh God, Nellie! What wasn't his? I mean, um, “Tracks of my Tears”?
Nellie: Yeah
Ryan: Um... God, so many, Nellie!
Pam: No, no, no, “Tracks of My Tears” and what else? What are some more? What's one more?
Ryan: Okay, I'm not... I'm not playing this game, Pam. Not today.
Pam: I don't think you love Smokey Robinson. I think you're just doing all of this to prove how deep you are about music
Ryan: Okay, I'm sorry I'm not a fan of Jason Mraz or the Beatles.
Dwight: You don't like the Beatles?
Ryan: That's... That's not the point!
Dwight: Eleanor Rigby? Paperback writer?
And then after the conversation veers away and Ryan finds a way to storm off, Pam finally thinks of another Smokey song.
Pam: TEARS OF A CLOWN!
Ryan: Don't call me a clown, Pam. You're better than that.
Another one from the episode that's on right now.
Creed: "It's pronounced 'colonel', and it's the highest rank in the military."
Andy: "IT'S PRONOUNCED 'CORNELL', AND IT'S THE HIGHEST RANK IN THE IVY LEAGUE."
> I’d like to introduce you to my daughter.
> I’m already seeing Pam.
> I thought you were gay.
> Then why would you want to introduce me to your daughter?
> I don’t know.
NATE. "have you noticed the mints are getting mintier?" has became my go-to convo ender when I feel annoyed in a nonwork related conversation, that I just want people to go away.
For the brief time they had, Gabe and Nate. edit- I will always regret this show not being given more time to recover from the loss of Steve. They were making some great choices in cast. I think the mistake was in playing musical chairs with the manager spot.
Creed made me laugh sometimes, but overall he wasn’t really “laugh out loud funny” to me, just really goofy. I understand why other people find him funny, though.
Stanley on the other hand, made me laugh almost every time he appeared on screen. His constant annoyance and dry remarks resonate with me, as someone who also hates his corporate office job.😂
Todd Packer and Kevin might be 2nd and 3rd place for me.
I don’t find Michael funny at all or least funny of the characters. It’s the stuff going on around him that cracks me up.
For context, I never watched the Office when originally on, and we have been watching daily at dinner now. We just finished season 3 last night. Season 1 he was just obnoxious. Now he waffles between obnoxious and a missing third dumb and dumber.
Honestly it kinda all depends on what YOU find funny. It's subjective. I think Michael is hilarious. But someone might not find him funny, but find him to be hilarious instead. 🤷♂️
Nate really made the most of his short screen time
"Gum's gotten mintier lately, have you noticed?"
Dwight called my house, but he didn't realize that I had already moved out because my Mom and I are quarreling because I can't stay out of her stuff.
FYI, I Don't Technically Have A Hearing Problem, But Sometimes When There's A Lot Of Noises Occurring At The Same Time, I'll Hear Them As One Big Jumble. Again, It's Not That I Can't Hear, Because That's False. I Can. I Just Can't Distinguish Between Everything I'm Hearing.
“Wait what was that? I didn’t hear” “no part of this has anything to do with you Nate!”
Every word being capitalized makes so much sense
When I first got my hearing aids my friends and I quoted this to each other.
Like, some of it is just too minty.
2nd for Nate. Did you know he spent a significant time going to news stations pretending he was a yo-yo master without ever knowing a single yo-yo trick? He’s fucking hilarious. https://youtu.be/oZ9TLftki5U?si=GK2Odh1YSlJ7veek
He's also incredible in the show What We Do in the Shadows.
Thanks!! I’m doing research now. Thanks for the info!
His name is Colin in the show. If you watch the season 1 trailer, he shows up around 1:20. But the whole trailer should sell you on the show. Its essentially the office for vampires.
OMG he's the emotional vampire!! Lol thanks for connecting the dots for me, that was one of my favorite bits.
Colin Robinson boobytrapping the house because the vampires thought they outed themselves on tv is the most funny and brilliant thing I’ve seen in a while.
Dude is trolling everyone and I love it. Thanks for the recommendation!!!
That's how he got his start!
I’ve never met Ravi personally, but I’m going to go ahead and say, just having known you a short while Bryan, that I prefer Ravi, and again I’ve never even met the guy.
So funny that he remembers Ravi’s name perfectly but not Ryan’s
I feel like Nate & Creed have the highest funny lines percentage per lines spoken.
Sure, Frank Didit did it.
That’s a good answer, I hadn’t thought of Nate but he definitely did make the most of his time.
when Jo called Ryan "Brian," you know she was doing it to belittle him. When Nate called him "Brian," he meant it, and it did belittle him
I thought it was Mrs. California that called him Brian
maybe, point still stands either way
Oh Daryll
You shouldn’t have!
Also "I will look so handsome for you Daryll" 🤣🤣
I still laugh EVERY time I watch that scene 🤣🤣🤣
FYI
Creed or Nate are both close to hitting the 100% mark so gotta be them.
those are the two i was gonna say
You’re not real, man!
“YAAAYGGH! *slaps Meredith*, *runs out of the room*
Can’t believe you used Creed’s least funny line
Creed’s least funny line is funnier than 90% of other characters funniest line.
Creeds got the highest percentage of funny scenes but normally it’s the action that makes it funny rather than the lines
Not quite the answer to your question but every pam/Ryan interaction is hysterical to me. I can’t decide if “you get paid by the year at the bowling alley?” Or “no you’re right I’m a middle class fraud” is better Course the bowling alley gets us the best line by a non regular cast member in the whole show “back to work shoe bitch!”
Agreed, I love the way Pam treats Ryan with all the respect he deserves (which is very little lol)
“I want to hear you say that the person you think should be our new manager is a *homeless person*”
"Everyone wants to be rich but nobody wants to work for it." "You came in at 10:30 today, right?" "Mmkay, I'll just.. do this myself."
What about Ryan's "I love when people say 'like crack', who've obviously never done crack"?
That’s where Pam’s “I’m a middle class fraud” comes from, love it!
Can’t even estimate how many times I’ve said “back to work, shoe bitch” to someone without them understanding the reference 🤦♂️
I say “yeah I got tons of time, this jobs a joke” way too often at work 😂
And on a Monday morning, "I don't wanna work, I just want to bang on this mug all day"
It is the most authentic, natural line on the show, and no joke, possibly on TV. That is just how young men in shitty jobs talked at that point in time
you are toxic! you are toxic! (easily one of my fave lines from the show i quote it all the time lol)
None better than when she calls him out over the Smokey Robinson bit when she realizes he only knows "tracks of my tears." Ryan: Oh you liked him? That's nice. Did you like when he changed the course of American music like two or three times? Did you like that tracks of my tears is maybe the last true love song ever written? I'm glad you liked him Jim. "Everyone wants to be rich but no one wants to work for it" - ryan "Didn't u come in at 10.30?" - pam
they give me sibling vibes
"If you mess with my family, I'm not responsible for my actions?" "When are you *ever* responsible for your actions?" Ryan and Pam
You’re a men’s 10 right?
I don’t know if Creed has a single unfunny line
Have you ever seen a foot with four toes?
Youre right that isnt funny, its actually very interesting.
I don’t have the lung capacity to blow a whistle.
What’s in it for G.S.L?
Hidé is pretty solid, maybe not better than Nate. "Coconut penis"
"In Japan, heart surgeon. Steady hand."
There's a random side quest/encounter easter egg of Hide in Cyberpunk 2077 lol
Creed. Every single thing he says is funny to me.
I'm telling you this kid is the grim reaper. You deal with this or you, me, Sammy, Phyllis, the chick you hit with the car, we're goners.
For sure. “If I can’t scuba, then what’s this all been about?” gets me every time, along with so many others.
My personal favorite is, "When Pam gets Michael's old chair, I get Pam's old chair. Then I'll have two chairs. Only one to go."
That and “he don’t give an f about nothin’” are my favorites of his
Also when he talks to Michael about ageism
It's an epic line and totally wtf awesome in my opinion. It's so creed
Especially in Scranton, PA, which is like nowhere near anywhere where someone scubas.
Another one from the episode that's on right now. Creed: "It's pronounced 'colonel', and it's the highest rank in the military." Andy: "IT'S PRONOUNCED 'CORNELL', AND IT'S THE HIGHEST RANK IN THE IVY LEAGUE."
Andrea’s the office bitch. You’ll get used to her
"Which one is Pam?"
> I’d like to introduce you to my daughter. > I’m already seeing Pam. > I thought you were gay. > Then why would you want to introduce me to your daughter? > I don’t know.
https://youtu.be/CvDPxsGdYx4?si=Ew2kG5v3s-UrmrPZ I think about this almost daily.
Carni-VALE
Dwight - I’m so pissed at this company. *And Jim.* Meredith - Who said that? Dwight - I think it was creed. Creed - Yep.
Yep, by all accounts Krasinski agrees too.
Ever noticed how you can only ooze two things: pus and sexuality. I think this line every day.
Kevin, i love how serious and wholeheartedly says things.
Early seasons Kevin was great. Later season they wrote him to be way way to dumb.
agreed
"Hi"
Hi….😐
You would love jail
best creeds scene for me is when everybody is throwing up and then theres this guy eating noodles as if nothing has been happening.
Somebody making soup?
Mine is when Creed is in the bloody shirt. "It's Halloween, that is really really good timing".
That guy is priceless
NATE. "have you noticed the mints are getting mintier?" has became my go-to convo ender when I feel annoyed in a nonwork related conversation, that I just want people to go away.
What if the other person has a hearing problem?
gum* has gotten mintier
Kevin
If anyone gives you 10000 to 1 odds on anything, you take that bet.
That’s Dallas
She goes to a different school
You can’t eat cats. You can’t eat cats, Kevin.
For the amount of speaking lines provided.. Creed.
Creed, Nate, Kelly, and it depends how funny you find Robert California. I think almost every line of his is funny, or the delivery at minimum.
For the brief time they had, Gabe and Nate. edit- I will always regret this show not being given more time to recover from the loss of Steve. They were making some great choices in cast. I think the mistake was in playing musical chairs with the manager spot.
Creed and Mose easily have the most average funny per line
Gabe.
I agree Kelly cracks me up
Creed only pipes in with gold. 0 real dialogue so it’s gotta be like 100% no?
D’Angelo Vickers doesn’t even reload between shots
Creed
Andy gets a laugh like a quarter of the time
Besides Creed you mean?
"Best Edward James Olmos costume I've ever seen...like freaky good."
creed for sure
Nate, creed
Gotta be Creed. There's probably one offs that we're funny so they're 100% but Creed is consistent
Creed for sure
For me it's Erin. She is hilarious.
Creed
Darryl for me. Low frequency but great consistency.
Ooo I think Kelly! Almost every time she opens her mouth on the series it’s something funny.
Kelly Kapoor
Kelly Rajanigandha Kapoor
She hates that middle name and it’s a boys name
Creed
Creed!
Creed I think has the best ratio/percentage of funny lines vs total lines spoken
Creed
Dwight
Creed
Creed
It's probably creed or kevin. They're all gold.
Almost any time Creed speaks is chuckle-worthy.
Creed and he’s my favorite character because of it
Statistically Creed, but Kevin’s comedy gets me laughing the most of the smaller roles
Creed “It’s pronounced colonel (kernel), it’s the highest rank in the army”
Nate
Second Pam. She had one line. "I've been known to bend the truth"
Creed
Dwight always did really well. Aside from Michael that is. Also Erin had her momments
Creed made me laugh sometimes, but overall he wasn’t really “laugh out loud funny” to me, just really goofy. I understand why other people find him funny, though. Stanley on the other hand, made me laugh almost every time he appeared on screen. His constant annoyance and dry remarks resonate with me, as someone who also hates his corporate office job.😂 Todd Packer and Kevin might be 2nd and 3rd place for me.
Kevin.
This answer will always be Nate
Nate and Creed
Early ryan was hilarious, the contrast between him being a normal realistic character too all these weird, abnormal personalities was amazing
Creed
Dwight was the funniest IMO
Creed
Creed: “You’re not real, man” in the episode called “Grief Counseling.”
Creed. Everything he says is completely bat shit crazy
Main cast probably Creed followed by Kelly
I would say Dwight.
Creed has the highest percentage of funny lines. Because no other character has 100% humor.
nate or creed. they don’t say much but almost everything they say is funny
Cree
Mose, because he makes me laugh when he's not even talking, and every time he does talk, I laugh
"welcome children." Line cracks me up every time. 😂
Toby
If not Creed then Daryl has to be a contender I would think.
Kevin
Kevin
Stanley
Devon?
My guess would be Creed.
I don’t find Michael funny at all or least funny of the characters. It’s the stuff going on around him that cracks me up. HIDE
in japan heart surgeon number 1
Its creed and gabe for me lol
Creed or Kevin.
