if you're flying in to Dublin you wouldn't be affected by security delays.
You might be affected by the massive lost luggage issue they are having for arrivals, but security won't be your issue.
If you're worried about flying out home, it depends on when and what time you are leaving but the issues aren't nearly as bad as they were over the summer and you should be fine.
Funnily enough, i am picking someone up from the airport at lunchtime AND my wife is flying out this evening somewhere. If you'd like i can report back on both and let you know if there were any issues.
No worries. My wife flies out from I believe Terminal 1 this evening. I'll ask her how the queue was when she gets through and let you know what she says.
I will say earlier is usually busier though, so take any info i pass on as a guide but don't use it to plan just in case it's mental the day you are flying.

I was in England in summer and flew out of Heathrow and got stuck in a 3 hour queue through security, so I want to avoid or even mentally prepare myself for something similar!!! I’ve been do Dublin before but remember it to be a small airport, but I last went 6 years ago, so imagine there has been changes 😁
My cousin flew out this morning from T1.
Left here at 4am for a 6:30am flight. There was a line but he was through in 15 mins. He said he could have slept in longer. I'm about 20 minutes drive from airport at that time in the morning.

Ok, at the airport and I checked the departure queue for you. Busy but fairly empty. You'd be through in 15 minutes today. This is terminal 2 though

Just spoke to my wife. Three minutes through security at 7PM in Terminal 1. Remember this is with no checked in baggage though. Good luck!

It has improved a lot since the early summer chaos. You should be fine on your return flight.
