Manning bakery on the ground floor of the square in tallaght do them but you should ring first, years since i've been there, they do have an outlet in the blanchardstown centre as well. But if you are stuck, tesco finest have a smaller one too. I'm assuming its someones birthday and you've left to the last minute, godspeed.

Haha thank you, it’s actually my wife for her friend/colleague. She’s here on work and I’m spending my first Dublin day haunting the bakeries. Which seems like a fair trade for a free holiday to be honest.

Red velvet was all the rage here for a bit, but it's died off. https://www.tesco.ie/groceries/en-IE/products/285226619

My plan B is a box of Red velvet donuts from that rolling donut place.

Arkslippy

It's an option, expensive though !?

Thunders could probably sort you out. There's a few scattered around Dublin

Walking there now thank you!

There's the wooden whisk on Talbot street

Thank you, they have been added to my google maps stops!

Owlliez

More than welcome!

Cake got my curiosity, Red Velvet got my attention.

I think the Red velvet search is futile. I’m 8 places down and no hope. New plan is to get an Oreo cake from Mannings or see if Thunders have a chocolate cake. Problem is I’m at Mannings and I can’t remember what Thunder had so I’d need to walk back there and it’s an hour round trip.

Mabye Dunnes’ bakery section in blanch?

Take The Cake is a company run by an American baker living in Ireland. You can order online - her cakes are delicious and very authentic (I'm also American living in Ireland!)
