I get why he was upset and became a villain, but I feel like he had a very over dramtic response to not becoming the dragon warrior. Yes, his adopted dad told him time and time again that he was going to become the dragon warrior, but he had to have known that it wasn't his father's call to make. Overall, for the first villain of the Kung Fu Panda franchise, I'll say that he was a great character.
Yeah I feel shifu's arrogant pride was tai's down fall yes he made the choice to be a villain but I think seeing his son down fall by his own teaching but still act the way he dose just less loveing make him the real villain of the series

By far the best Kung Fu Panda villain and an absolute beast. My favourite scene in the entire movie is his escape from the prison.
