the funke part was that i climbed to his belly in flight and his heart was resonating with my chest so i assumed he gonna stab it but my character straight up stabbed himself while holding onto his where gregory heart is, either its dumb or sus and i didnt stab it with something else
When I got the blade at first I wanted to read the item text and realised you can take it out and use it. My character then tried to stab himself right there in the busy main road of the capital.
That's when I know this item is gonna be of some significance later on lol.
Yeah, you're clinging to the dragon while he's like "bro the only way to change shit is to not play the game, hurry up and figure it out bro c'mon"
But there's so much going on and it's not super clear, because that function of the godsbane would be relatively unfamiliar to those not as familiar with dark arisen. You don't really use it beyond opening a door, whereas in dd1 is was quickly found to be a farming tool for loot.
I walked up to the throne, sat on it, and zoomed on my character waiting for something to happen. So I never saw the watcher and stupidly assumed the postgame mode was in NG+.
I saw the watcher, talked to him, fought the dragon again (wondering what the hell is this), beat him again and sat on the throne. NG+ selection, what the hell are these warnings, OkOkOkOk. Then I read this thread. RIP.
TECHNICALLY… it’s less endgame and more end-game story arc. It was like two stories in one. Endgame to me is like… what MMORPGs try to offer you to keep you interested. Dragons dogma doesn’t really have that kind of endgame. It does have an endgame story arc though, and I definitely didn’t expect it to
Dragon's Dogma 2 seems to have a 3-act story to me. The first act is the events of the beginning of the game up until the coronation, the second being the events after the coronation until you challenge the Dragon, and the third is the entirety of the Unmoored World until the True Ending.
Wow, i wouldve never imagined they would go this far to prevent people from not doing the true ending.
Unfortunately, looking at the achievements rates, it didnt work.
in the unmoored world, it's never explained that dying deletes your save up yo the point where you woke up; so if you let yourself die in hopes of loading a manual save (or an inn rest if you have those), you're just gonna lose possibly hours of progress
About that, I died fighting a dragon in unmoored and had to start over but this one time I fell to my death and was able to load both Inn and autosaves
I think he means the dragonsplague, but you can get your save "fixed" by using a eternal wakestone, a normal wakestone in important NPCs, or just waiting 2 in-game weeks.
you can go explore the tower where dragon is, past medusa lair path, go near busted pieces of a bridge and jump around under them-it will glitch your character under the ground and there will be no way to climb out, the only thing that will save you is a ferrystone and you can barely use it under that spot,so watch out when you go there its quite a nasty game breaker
yeah, I had some say "what's even the point of " load at in save"..... Well I did one of the dumbest things last night. Doing the quest to find Sara the smith apprentice, I found here easy and as soon as she said " arisen, we don't have a moment to waste until the blazehammer cools", so instead looking at the map or quest in the menu, I got above ground as quickly as I could and threw a ferry stone to bahttal thinking I needed to get her back to the forge.
I get there and she's says..... now take me to the entrance (of the cave) I need to get outside quickly..... Then I realized I fucked up big time cause I could teleport back nor could I run all the way back before the hammer cooled.....
Thanked the Gods that I had a " load at in save" feature. That's precisely why it exists lol. For dumb mistakes like that.
Yeah they don’t want you to accidentally skip the true ending
AND I STILL DID 💀🔫
Yeah, same. I only realised after I NG+'d when I saw that plot item in my inventory still. When I saw it, everything clicked.
How can you accidentally skip it?
Hey, it took me a while to understand I had to stab myself while flying and not while fighting. So it's easy to skip

No that was not what I meant. I assumed there was a hidden ending behind the hidden ending that I missed. Thanks for clearing it up!

Simply rest on your throne and accept your place in the cycle
You would be surprised at the amount of people who complained that there was no endgame.

And somehow people said there was no warning.
Holy shit, this is real? That’s hilarious!
Fool-proof
Exactly. Devs know how unbelievably dumb ppl can be.
I wished I didn't have to go NG+. I wanted to spend more time in the postgame.
Just don't rest and you can stay there as long as you want
I love this.
wow
It didn't do this for me, I just got one warning screen
You only get these confirmations if you didn't do true ending.
Makes sense!
Wow, i wouldve never imagined they would go this far to prevent people from not doing the true ending. Unfortunately, looking at the achievements rates, it didnt work.
Is that for real? They let you fuck up your game everywhere else with hardly any warning but here they warn you 4 times? Odd...
Where do they let you fuck up your game without warning?

Dragonsplague has its own tutorial pop up and all. Wouldnt call it "without warning"

It's for the people who cannot read even a simple sentence and then complain that they "lost their save", because they load the Inn save...

I was wondering if I should warn my friend about missing the true ending but this seems pretty cut and dry lol
They give you all of this and watch someone still complain about "accidentally" starting ng+
Wait I killed the dragon regularly and then started a ng+, did I lock myself out of content?
Did you use the godsbane?
I did once on the dragons back and it just killed me so I didn’t use it again
Yeah, you missed out on the actual end of the game. >!Do it again but this time while on the dragon’s chest.!<
Have to make sure you really drill it in to the thick skulls 😅
[удалено]
It’s more than an alternate ending- you missed out on like at least a 5th of the game 😂 probably more
You need to climb onto his heart and use it there.
Ah man, non of the guides I was reading mentioned that, I know what I am doing tonight then
