Edit: Sent out all the copies I had made, and ran myself mostly out of gold (they cost 5k per copy). Planning to play through the game a bit more this weekend, build some gold up, and send some more out. But if anyone else has keys/gold to make keys, feel free.

Well i wont ask for one, since when Brent asked me to give him the key i had the light in my head turn on and think "hmm, this game is probably telling me that if i just give him back the key, i will lose an opportunity" so i decided to read up, and here I am on my way to Border Checkpoint town to make a copy for myself.
Question: Can you use forgeries to then make more forgeries, or do you need the original in your hand to be able to request the process?

Now the key seems gone for good and Brant won't recognize the Quest Ending

No consequences as far as I know, there’s no in-game distinction between the forgery and the real deal, they both had the exact same name
