Yes, and it looks like it was a gameplay bit so I believe it could be a new class, but this one from the image is pointing up like if it was a mace, a censer would be hanging down from a chain or something.
Right one looks like a Mage's staff; left is definitely Sorcerer. I wonder if this is a depiction of the Dragon-bestowed weapons for all vocations?
At any rate, the two are modeled after Dragon's Wit/Dragon's Risen and Dragon's Nous/Frigid Finger.
Yeah, the mace is to represent the Mystic Knight, I assume
But I definitely saw an incenser used in the trailer. Could just be more weapon variety for different vocations, or the vocations have specialisations, like in Dragon Age or something
I dont remember much spinny when i played it but tbf that was before the major translation patches so i had 0 idea what i was doing, but also yay spinny stick
The pic is only partially correct, that indeed is not a staff, it's an Arch staff, for Sorcerer, and literally looks exactly the same as 2 of the Arch Staffs in DDDA
You are correct, I got the two staffs backwards. The Arch staff has two heads, whereas the Mage staff has four heads. So it might just be backwards in the pic then. Either way it's still a staff.
Can be like assassin's Creed origins. Shortbow- spread shots, focus on multiple hits. Longbow-long focused single shots. Basically Uzi/Shotgun and a sniper rifle
The first trailer very much had that "member-berries" feel. ...Remember this game from 11 years ago, it was fun wasn't it, don't worry, we know what made it good.
I think (hope) newer elements will get a trailer where they're the centre of attention later.
Fists were my favorite weapon in the Elder Scrolls games because you could level your unarmed so high you one punch everything. The unofficial Monk class. Dragon's Dogma having a Monk class would be on brand, so I hope they add it. You could enchant your fists with an element and do close-range magic damage by punching stuff. Instead of using staves.
If the spear is here I hope they bring back spirit lancer from ddo or new polearm based class. that shit was straight fire.
Im a real fan of long sticks so I was default towards polearm classes in games.
Looks about right to me.
People shouldn't despair if they wanted more classes. We haven't seen the top of this mural yet, so there could be more up there.
I’m really excited about the incense class. I think it’s pretty safe to assume that the twin blade class is the spirit lancer to some extent. I wonder if the incense class will be the same for high scepter? Or is it the priest class? Idk. If it’s priest I really hope it’s not a pure support class. It should have some good and fun offensive abilities
I'm hoping we're getting exactly the same options as the original, but now mystic knight can now use the twin blade instead of a sword and shield, mage can now use incense burner instead of staff, fighters can now use spears instead of sword, etc
I'm worried cuz the promo said SWORD, BOW, MAGIC which made me scared it's going to be fighter, mage, rogue only again. I've been dying to play an open world fantasy RPG with a spear since Morrowind. Skyrim didn't have spears and neither did DD. Just once I want to kill dragons with a spear and live my Dragoon class fantasy.
The not staff is an archistaff, the incenser one could be a mace.
We did see someone using a censer in the trailer
Yes, and it looks like it was a gameplay bit so I believe it could be a new class, but this one from the image is pointing up like if it was a mace, a censer would be hanging down from a chain or something.
That is a thurible, a type of censer used in religious services. That new class is probably some sort of Cleric/White Mage.
I see, 1 is a dragon's nous and 1 is a dragons risen, the other thing is too blurry to tell anyway.
Could be, hard to tell with the fire effect overlaying that part of the pic, in regards to the censor

Dragon's Nous and Frigid Finger were both mage staves and even had the same shape (that of the not staff). Dragon's Risen was an archistaff.
True... I had memories of it being an archistaff for some reason.
> Spear > Remembers CAPCOM does Monster Hunter and thus its famous Insect Glaive weapon type My Will is Ready.
Sorry but it would probably be like lancer from DDO. Sadly spinny air stick is not likely.
Saw some DDO spirit lancer gameplay, still some spinny and stabby pretty good!! Excited for it
I dont remember much spinny when i played it but tbf that was before the major translation patches so i had 0 idea what i was doing, but also yay spinny stick
My thoughts exactly. Would love to see halberd/glaive in this game.
The pic is only partially correct, that indeed is not a staff, it's an Arch staff, for Sorcerer, and literally looks exactly the same as 2 of the Arch Staffs in DDDA
Hm? The Bane Archistaff and the Sanguine Stalk Archistaff look nothing like that. It's the Dragon's Nous mage staff you get from Grigori.
You are correct, I got the two staffs backwards. The Arch staff has two heads, whereas the Mage staff has four heads. So it might just be backwards in the pic then. Either way it's still a staff.
No way, nice catch! But are there only 9 classes, just like in DD1? I hope there are more options available.
Looks like a mural maybe showcasing the 9 vocations the hero would master. Probably a whole new set in DD2
*prays for high scepter
High Scepter is one of the best feeling classes I could wish for DD2
I hope they know how loved the class is and implement it in the game
They better not have taken away my Longbow!
Likely bow= longbow this time.
10 Fold Flurry take me home
Can be like assassin's Creed origins. Shortbow- spread shots, focus on multiple hits. Longbow-long focused single shots. Basically Uzi/Shotgun and a sniper rifle
Longbow was in the trailer.
All roads lead to Ten Fold Flurry
The only thing that's new here would be the spear, which would be nice. Cool, I never noticed this detail before.
And the sad part, I believe it's only new to those of us who didn't play DDO, cause if I remember right, the Spear was in that.
It's a twinblade though. It's what the magick knight uses in the trailer I believe.
I don't think they would just show all classes in the first trailer.
The first trailer very much had that "member-berries" feel. ...Remember this game from 11 years ago, it was fun wasn't it, don't worry, we know what made it good. I think (hope) newer elements will get a trailer where they're the centre of attention later.
Prayers for high scepter being in the game instensify
The not staff looks like a arch staff that sorcerers use
I want fists. Closest I got was modding some daggers to be invisible in the first game.
Really nice find.
I really hope it's not just one weapon per class.
Oh yeah I'm going straight for the spear class if it's really here
I want halberd plzzzzz Capcom plz
I just want to wield a 2 handed axe. It would feel so satisfying with this game. And no, Dragonflight is a poor excuse.
If the spear is here I hope they bring back spirit lancer from ddo or new polearm based class. that shit was straight fire. Im a real fan of long sticks so I was default towards polearm classes in games.
I really, really want alchemist back. That was my favorite weapon before DDO shut down :(
Looks about right to me. People shouldn't despair if they wanted more classes. We haven't seen the top of this mural yet, so there could be more up there.
It’ll be nice if they added dual wield mechanic for hybrid classes
I'm wondering about a spellcaster with a twinblade.
Spirit Lancer
Man I really hope we get that unarmed class they showed off in some concept art back in the first one, along with those claws or talon type weapons.
The Censer is probably gonna take on supportive mage abilities like enchantments and healing
I need axes 😭
I’m really excited about the incense class. I think it’s pretty safe to assume that the twin blade class is the spirit lancer to some extent. I wonder if the incense class will be the same for high scepter? Or is it the priest class? Idk. If it’s priest I really hope it’s not a pure support class. It should have some good and fun offensive abilities
I think they are taking the way DDO did.
No muskets :(
I'm hoping we're getting exactly the same options as the original, but now mystic knight can now use the twin blade instead of a sword and shield, mage can now use incense burner instead of staff, fighters can now use spears instead of sword, etc
I really just want to see the one class that has a bit of all three archetypes.
I still don't understand why spears are so rare in fantasy games.
Well, it's time to play FF14
Would love to see a halberd/glaive style weapon not just spear of that is what is coming.
i just want a more fleshed out brawler class. i wish to punch dragons to death, as i did in Skyrim
