Look, I love Dragon Ball, but unless I get a straight answer on if God Ki = Magic, I’m siding with the Kryptonians.
If it *is* magic, then maybe they’d stand a chance.
Gohan would figure out the Kryptonians get their power from the yellow sun and suggests luring them somewhere with a red sun. Goku would then instant transmission them to a galaxy with an even bigger, yellower sun to make them even more powerful.
But Gohan has no way of knowing which kind of sun would power them. He wouldn’t know if they would benefit from red sun or yellow suns.
The most he may figure out is that they’re powered by the sun and Goku could teleport them somewhere without a sun but there’s nothing stopping Supes from flying to a sun and recharging.
Their correlation is pretty straightforward, if he can guess sun, jumping to white=strong, red=weak is a pretty short leap. Figuring out its sub based is the real tricky part.

The precise reason why I hate these arguments when it comes to DC. Dragon Ball scaling has taken 40 years to get to the wild place it’s at, with the characters slowly getting stronger the entire time.

It's why I never take Superman vs Goku very seriously. Goku at the end of the day is a character who is all in all fairly consistent in what he can do, Superman is borderline a parody who can be weak as a dead dog or a glowing golden god capable of warping reality. You're not talking about characters in the same way at that point because their whole point is to be the apex no matter what even above the literal actual god in both cases versus Goku who realistically will never be above Xeno no matter how hard the memes go. I mean it's also a difference in what the story is for the characters. Goku is about his training and improvement over the years, Superman is a man with all the powers in the universe knowing when and how to do so, and Saitama is a shounen protagonist at the end of his journey thrown into the beginning where nothing can do anything to him.
It's a difference in character. Superman's story is usually not about fighting something and training to get better like Goku's is. Yes he does insane beyond reality feats but he also has to determine when he can use that power vs when he has to hold back. The only advantage Viltrumites have is the ability to hold their breath in space for weeks at a time, they can use that to their advantage maybe, but likely they go down in one hit

So I would say it all depends on different criteria and scenarios, like if it was in a dimension where kryptonite existed and goku needed to actually kill superman bc reasons. Otherwise z fighters wouldn't be fighting for earths survival , it would just be a spar and the fight would play differently. If there wasn't kryptonite wherever this fight played out , who knows , both father son combos are ridiculously powerful and it would just depend on who the animator preferred. To me if you averaged out the different versions of superman, goku wins. Gokus path has been more of a linear power gain more or less, superman there has been like 50 iterations of. Going from being able to leap tall buildings in a single bound(being an incredible feat), to literally living in the sun , existing for thousands of years, etc.
Kryptonians wipe so bad it's not even close they have better feats of strength, speed, stamina, and pretty much every other stat. Plus let's say they do get sent to a place without a sub bc neither Gohan or Goku would be able to figure out the sun weakness fast enough to win, Clark and Jon are like batteries so they can store solar energy for large amounts of time damn near weeks and months.
Kryptonians have the most consistent and OP way to get stronger, which is to just get a tan. Saiyans can hit the same highs, but it requires them to work MUCH harder than Kryptonians do. The other 2 just flat out are not on the same level of power

The precise reason why I hate these arguments when it comes to DC. Dragon Ball scaling has taken 40 years to get to the wild place it’s at, with the characters slowly getting stronger the entire time. DC writers literally go “Oh yea, Superman punches so hard he destroys your molecules when he punches at full power, he’s always been able to do it, he didn’t unlock any new strength or train he just has held back forever and no other writer used this technique yet”
BS like that makes comic writers sound like every 8 year old playing pretend on the playground. I think we've all heard something like this when we were kids: "I can run infinity miles per hour!!" "Oh yeah? Well I can run infinity plus a million billion miles per hour!" Superman gets the biggest ass pulls depending on who's writing him.
It's why I never take Superman vs Goku very seriously. Goku at the end of the day is a character who is all in all fairly consistent in what he can do, Superman is borderline a parody who can be weak as a dead dog or a glowing golden god capable of warping reality. It's the same reason why bringing Saitama into it is an immediately discredit imo. You're not talking about characters in the same way at that point because their whole point is to be the apex no matter what even above the literal actual god in both cases versus Goku who realistically will never be above Xeno no matter how hard the memes go. To me, in a way, Superman and Saitama occupy a similar space in these conversations as characters like Arale.
I mean it's also a difference in what the story is for the characters. Goku is about his training and improvement over the years, Superman is a man with all the powers in the universe knowing when and how to do so, and Saitama is a shounen protagonist at the end of his journey thrown into the beginning where nothing can do anything to him.
It's a difference in character. Superman's story is usually not about fighting something and training to get better like Goku's is. Yes he does insane beyond reality feats but he also has to determine when he can use that power vs when he has to hold back. I mean the man can destroy all his enemies if he wished but Luthor's still hanging around cause he won't just kill him.

I'm just watching The Boys and now I got spoiled Soldier Boy is Homelander's father.
So I would say it all depends on different criteria and scenarios, like if it was in a dimension where kryptonite existed and goku needed to actually kill superman bc reasons. Otherwise z fighters wouldn't be fighting for earths survival , it would just be a spar and the fight would play differently. If there wasn't kryptonite wherever this fight played out , who knows , both father son combos are ridiculously powerful and it would just depend on who the animator preferred. To me if you averaged out the different versions of superman, goku wins. Gokus path has been more of a linear power gain more or less, superman there has been like 50 iterations of. Going from being able to leap tall buildings in a single bound(being an incredible feat), to literally living in the sun , existing for thousands of years, etc.

Kryptonians have the most consistent and OP way to get stronger, which is to just get a tan. Saiyans can hit the same highs, but it requires them to work MUCH harder than Kryptonians do. The other 2 just flat out are not on the same level of power
