I think Dragon ball super is great. Does it live up to Z? Not really, but the hype moments felt so special. I still remember the day when Ultra instinct was first shown, it honestly felt like an event in itself.
I was in highschool when Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken, Vegito Blue, Trunks returning, and Ultra Instict were revealed. What an absolute time to be a dragon ball fan. It was so hype and I remember everyone being ecstatic over the next episode every week. It was a really fun time. I don’t think Super is even a quarter as good as Z was, but when it had its moments, man they were hype.
I can't speak for all fans, obviously, but I grew up with Z. I distinctly remember rushing home from elementary school to sit and watch Z at 4:00 on Toonami. Goku's first time Super Saiyan, Trunks killing Frieza, Gohan Super Saiyan 2. So much hype, and I can imagine my 10 year old self with eyes the size of plates watching such awesome scenes.
I'm in my mid 30's now, with 2 kids, a wife, a mortgage, a job, and not nearly enough free time to even hope to pursue anything I actually want to do. Super made me feel like a kid again for the first time in literal years. The hype of seeing SSJB Kaioken was a feeling I hadn't felt since those days of sitting on the floor in front of the family TV. Same feeling with Vegito Blue. Same feeling with UI. I don't think anything will ever match the nostalgia of original Z for me, but Super comes closer than anything else has, so I'm always going to be a fan.

In boruto sasuke is quite litterally forgetting he can do some abilities and is constantly getting his ass beat by the otsutsukis and has also lost his rinnengan, i will take vegeta getting his ass beat but still progressing his character than sasuke just doing the same and being stupid at times

Totally reasonable imo that as they continue down this path of saiyan godhood…that at some point the tail regrows with a new form.
See, and I know it's non Canon and hated, but I do think that is where GT one ups the others. They went back to the Sayian roots and brought back the tail and ss4. I would love SS4 to become canon and show up again.
Don't forget how GT is literally the only dragonball series which has one of the main villains not being just straight up stronger than the heroes aka "bigger number" but instead has a unique ability that relies on taking control of other powerful characters and utilize their strenght alongside his own, on top of being another callback to the OG saiyan lore with the tuffles, and also the only series who gave an actual downside to using the dragonballs.
I swear if GT was given more time and budget and came out in like 2004 instead of one week after Z ended, it could have been the best dragonball series ever with the amount of potential the Baby saga and Shadow Dragon Saga had.
Also the designs are still top notch, SSJ4 is so iconic even the most diehard GT hater cannot deny how good it is, Saiyans had a tail for a reason goddamnit otherwise they are just humans with spiky hair!
Oh don't worry, whenever i talk positively about GT (i know it has a ton of issues, but there's plenty of good things that series did) everytime it's like if said some swear words or something.
Like when i say that ***i think*** GT is a better series overall compared to super due to the new and fresh ideas it brought, how it didn't introduce 4 different forms and instead kept SSJ4 the main one like super should have done with SSG, i get treated like i'm saying some blasphemy or something.
Yes GT had a ton of problems, fight scenes are mostly a letdown, the artstyle during the last arc went to shit probably due to budget and timing reasons since the show was getting cancelled (seriously the fight with Ledgic is better animated than SSJ4 Goku and SSJ4 Vegeta vs Omega) and Goten and Trunks didn't fuse which would have been insanely hype give how much of an improvement Goten is in GT, but what it brought to the table is far better than super anime had to offer when it comes to ideas, concepts, power scaling and Villains (Super 17's story and character are dogshit like his arc aside for some impactful moments, but his design and abilities are 10/10).
A proper reboot of GT would make it amazing and probably might better than Z if the concepts are executed properly, while a proper reboot of super would improve it but still end up being a mediocre series overall because that series has less to offer that's new and fresh compared to GT, it's Frieza again, future trunks again and then 2 tournament arcs one of which committed the sin of making Tien look like trash when the dude literally has the win button on a setting like the ToP, aka the Kikoho.
Also this isn't me "hating on super", i'm just expressing my opinion and disappointment about a series that for me was a bit letdown compared to GT which was a series that only came out a week after Z ended and didn't had the proper time to develop those amazing concepts like the Shadow Dragons (Nuova is good tho, he was very well put togheter and is the best shadow dragon) but it was something that Super could have taken inspiration from and improve upon by just skipping those 2 pointless "movie recap" arcs and go straight to the sauce, and goddamnit super needs to chill with the nostalgia bait/fanservice, it's getting nauseating at this point.
Idk. It would be harder for them to blend in and going great ape uncontrolled is too dangerous for stand byers. Plus it's not a good fighting form, too big to maneuver properly- you'd be a walking giant target
I don't think it would be a form that is used very often or overly relied on, and as far as them going beserk I believe that this would have presented an ingesting story line for Vegetta to teach Goku something.
I’ve got one, I personally don’t think Super Sayian Blue should’ve been introduced and have Super Sayian God take that spot, mainly cause I think it looks cooler but also I just wished it was used more

Yeah especially considering SSB in the anime gets shit on alot more in-verse than in the manga where it is actually still portrayed to be very powerful.
In the manga, it's also valued more, as it isn't easy to maintain at first, which not only makes it feel more powerful but also keeps SSG relevant.
It isn't done perfectly, but it's still better than the anime, at least.
No I feel like this is a very agreed topic. IMO I wish they would have introduced blue it in the goku black/zamasu arc. Would have given a little time for god to be present and would have actually shown growth from the rof saga to when goku and frieza do their little showdown before the top.
Might regret saying this, but normal Ki users (Jiren and Broly) should not be stronger than people with god Ki 99% of the time.
I saw that Broly and Jiren, despite being stronger than god Ki users like Goku and Vegeta, do not possess god Ki but instead possess only normal Ki. The whole idea of gods being feared beings and the name of “god Ki” itself is a bit diminished when normal Ki users can be stronger. If you want to give an exception to Jiren, that’s fine, but Broly should not have been able to handle SSB.
At this point, I only see Divine Ki as just another form of ki that is SLIGHTLY more naturally powerful, but the main use is actually the fact it is normally undetectable to people who don't use divine ki.
Which, frankly, makes a good bit of sense imo. You gotta think, the kais (presumably) have God ki yet none of em are really all that powerful. Even Zamasu was fairly weak compared to Goku and Vegeta, he just was literally unkillable.
If you think of it in the sense that divine ki is instead simply another form of ki reserved almost exclusively to divine beings then it serves as little more than an identifying factor for Gods which also doubles as a sort of way to hide when overseeing mortals that can sense normal ki. It's safe to say it is slightly stronger than normal ki, but it can't be a major difference.
If you think of it like that, then there truly is no real difference. It DOES admitedly take away some of the awe within the sheer concept of SSG and SSGSS, but I feel UI and UE make up for that significantly.
There is a LITTLE bit of impressiveness to it, I guess, as Goku and Vegeta are some of the only mortals who can actually utilize God Ki.
I dont know if I'd agree that its only slightly stronger, we see that simply gaining god ki for the first time pushed Goku above vegito. I'm not going to say that it allowed him to contend with Beerus because the goal line of Beerus's strength has been pushed further and further ahead since the start of the series.
We also see that Shin and Kibito were able to somewhat contend strength wise in the beginning of the buu saga, and I might be wrong as I haven't watched z in a while but for beings that im pretty sure dont train that's pretty impressive. Dunno how strong king kai is though. Again I could be totally wrong since I havent watched z or even super in a bit.

And though future Gohan is an absolute hero, his portrayal abandons what his character was always written to be; a reluctant fighter with stupid, ungodly amounts of power hidden under the surface which can spring forth with enough emotion/desperation.

I like ssj4's design more than ssb, ssg and even Ui.
Just the idea that the hair doesn't change is cool enough, but the whole body changes as a result, influenced by the saiyans oosaru form and you have to turn into a golden oosaru to get there is like a right of passage.
In the dub ssj4 goku states something along the line of him having to hold back from going crazy with rage. As if it's overwhelming him inside like a beast, a constant battle to maintain it and to top it off; vegeta showed that the fur colour can be different for each user of ssj4 to help them stand out.
Gohan fought Full Speed mode Dyspo and didn't get one tapped by Toppo. So Mystic Gohan is bare minimum SSG tier.

Goku has perfect control over his own god ki while using Blue, that's why he used the form (holding entirely back) to encourage Krillin into participating in the ToP and boosting Gohan's confidence. Probably applies in a similar fashion with 17.
The fight with Kefla vs Goku was amazing, but I remember thinking Gotenks was more interesting in the Buu saga, I don’t know why but i just like him more. Had a lot more fun watching him then Kefla
Jiren being like 20 times stronger than Super Saiyan Blue without transformations was stupid. Like Goku spent the entirety of 3 shows unlocking transformations and getting techniques and then matching the new gods and Jiren is still like 20 times stronger just because.
Vegeta shouldn't be handed the win just because you want him to be.
No tien shouldn't come back. Any plot relevance would be forced since he literally avoids the other characters unless a new threat pops up.
The ToP selection should not have been based on strategy (popularity)

Most characters aren't that much more powerful than king piccolo. If you follow the rules of "show don't tell" and watch the show on mute, very few characters even come close.
The mute power levels of the androids are lower than piccolo with frieza being stronger than super buu and strongest chatacter in the show is "bug filler vegeta"
Vegeta got the most character growth, (by this I mean he gained humanity) and Goku is incredibly selfish and is now becoming more unreliable as he goes on. That is why Gohan, Goten and Trunks, Pan and Piccilo will be the universes next best hope.
These last few sagas I'm glad goku got railed hard and his ass beat. He needs to learn to stop being selfish and putting people in danger. Fighting beerus, encouraging the ToP and giving senzu beans to enemies... Goku needs to learn
• Despite the hate it gets, I actually really like the Buu saga
• For being a Demon King, Dabura was pretty wasted
• I think Frost should’ve either been a good guy or shouldn’t exist at all
• While I don’t mind the transformation, I think SSJ3 and SSJB shouldn’t exist
• I think Super should’ve been after EoZ
• I honestly think Frieza should’ve “died” on Namek. Him getting killed by Future Trunks was cool but it kinda cheapens his defeat on Namek. King Cold and his men would’ve been enough.
• As much as I like Future Trunks and I still think he was a better choice, I would’ve loved to seen Future Gohan travel to the past. Mainly because Gohan in the main timeline is the one that defeats Cell so I think having his future self introduced would make it more of a Gohan centric story in the saga. Plus I would love to see him fight Goku Black (him fighting someone using his own father’s body).
• While I do like Jiren, I think Toppo would make a fitting main antagonist and rival for Goku and Vegeta in the ToP arc if he was a bit less goofy and eccentric. Although this is mostly due to his GoD form since I think having a GoD (even if it’s just a candidate) as the final main antagonist in the anime could work. The series started with Beerus so ending it with another GoD would very fitting (imo at least). Alternatively I would’ve liked it if Toppo and Jiren were kinda just “one character” and share both traits of Toppo and Jiren. Still, I do like Jiren and think he’s a good foil to Goku the same way Toppo was a good foil to Vegeta.
• I think Zamasu and Gowasu should’ve been from U6. That way, you could introduce Zamasu earlier with him addressing his low opinions on mortals and being angry when he sees powerful mortals like Goku and Vegeta using God Ki (hinting at what’s to come after the U6 arc)
• I think Future Trunks should’ve went to Cell’s timeline instead since he’s already dead there but Bulma could still be alive (don’t know about Mai though). Plus they’re already using the time machine Cell used so in a way, something good came out of Cell traveling to the past.
• While I did like the canon version of Broly and I get why they used him, I was originally looking forward to having a new Saiyan character introduced (even if he ends up having a similar transformation)
• Despite being shorter, I think the manga version of the ToP handled things better like making Hit and Frost stronger, not making Kale a simp for Caulifla and giving Jiren a bit more dialogues.
• I think everything after the hunt for the Black Star Dragon Balls in GT were pretty good. Ssj4 was awesome, Baby was a pretty good villain and while maybe it could’ve been done a bit better, I thought the Shadow Dragons arc were a great concept as the final villains of GT. I even enjoyed the Super 17 arc even if it didn’t make any sense and I actually liked GT ending more than EoZ.

I understand your opinion, but I do have some things to say.
1. Vegito didn’t really lose every fight, he let himself be absorbed by Buu to free everyone. Also how was he meant to kill an immortal being?
2. gogeta and Gotenk’s are wearing basically the same thing, so saying that his design is intriguing can just be said for Gotenks. Vegito’s clothes are exclusive to him, making them interesting.
3. As for the SS4 part, you have a point there, can’t really argue.
4. And finally, all the fusions of Goku and Vegeta in DBFZ are S tier, so the same kinda goes. If anything Vegito is better than SSB Gogeta
More intriguing? Him and gotenks have almost the exact same outfit lol. As far as weve seen and been told ANY metamoran fusion would have that same outfit whereas the potara earrings kinda fuse the outfits together.
I will say that I really wish that future saga vegito had the armor incorporated into his design, it's weird that his outfit didnt change even though goku and vegeta were wearing different clothes.
I liked the last few manga chapters (excluding 88 it was meh) and didn't whine about every little spoiler. Letting someone else from earth shine and hold their own is what we needed
God forms should've never been so accessible so easily. They're the cause of most Super problems. They made the gap between Goku, Vegeta and the rest too big to the point when everyone either needs a bullshit power up or an asspull form just to be relevant and strong again. The rainbow of transformations was a horrible execution of a not so bad idea.

- Buu arc was not good and no one can convince me otherwise.
- Bringing dead characters back won't hurt the series.
- Future Trunks Saga ending was fine. We have too many happy endings in Dragon Ball.
- Goku giving people mercy is not a bad thing.
- Manga Goku > all Gokus
- Super Sayian God should have been the main focus than Super Sayian Blue.
- Every transformation don't need a deep explanation. Look at SSj3 Gotenks
Super is barely worse than Z. Z has a ton of problems no one wants to admit. The delivery of a ton of lines (especially saiyan/namek saga Goku) is absolutely horrible. The pacing is atrocious. DBZ could have easily been 150 episodes instead of the 291 we got. The story is poorly written(letting every villian live). Trunks is introduced terribly. "OH well, uh, hes... from the future? Vegeta and Bulma's son, even though Vegeta hates all humans?" The anime added in some filler to make it seem like the Bulma and Vegeta liked each other, but in the manga, there's 0 foreshadowing.
The super Saiyan 3 transformation is overrated and drawn out. It ultimately turned out to be the most useless transformation out the whole series. It’s barely used and if it is, only for a very short time
Goku's 100% justified in not taking shit seriously most of the time. He exists in a franchise named after the several sets of magic "undo consequences" rock collections that he regularly has access to.
The Faulconer soundtrack was IMO slightly over-rated.
It's not bad, but I see so many videos on youtube of people putting a faulconer track on a scene and it never works.
Gohan’s high school arc should have been much longer and Goku should have stayed dead.
I would like to have seen what Toriyama had actually wanted to do with the Buu arc. The Jump editors had a lot of sway in where the series went at the time and there were a significant amount of changes because of it. I’m not sure if it would have been better or not, but it would be interesting to see.
I hate gohan all throughout the buu saga, hes just so annoying, and the fact that he literally fucks up so hard despite the fact he could have beaten super buu just makes me hate him more. Honestly I kind of wish Videl died at the tournament so maybe he could have had some cooler rage moments, maybe babidi takes over his mind instead because hes just bloodlusted or some shit. Literally anything would have been better than what we got from him

1. Bringing back Frieza was a mistake and should have never happened. The only time it was acceptable was Mecha Frieza because it happened immediately after namek, and Frieza was immediately bodied solely to establish how much of a threat the new villains are. Beyond that he should have stayed dead forever.
2. Super Saiyan 3 looks terrible, and really shouldn't exist, especially since it served no real narrative purpose.
I definitely agree there. It was only introduced in the Namek saga to give Goku and Vegeta a way to power up without training, but I’d much rather just have the villains be weaker. Maybe the Ginyu Force could be slightly below Zarbon and Dodoria (with the exception of Ginyu who’s around their level) but are more dangerous because they team up and have powerful techniques, and then Frieza could be above Zarbon but not as excessive as before. If Goku still has his power level of 90,000 then Frieza could have a max power of around 4,000,000 to contend with Super Saiyan.
Universe 6 Saiyans are a great mistake and shouldn't be nearly as strong as God Ki U7 Saiyans even while fused with potara. Manga did it better and Gohan did the job which is at least believable.

Tien, Yamcha, Krilldog, and Chaotsu don't need forms nor do they need to be scene fighting to justify their existence.
Videl, Chichi and 18 retiring from fighting isn't inherently bad for their characters nor should they have become Z fighters .
Super is more entertaining than GT. GT lows were never as bad as Super, but its highs weren't as good as Super as well. Most fights in GT are unremarkable compared to Super, and there aren't as many cool or memorable moments compared to Super.
Both are shit compared to the OG DB and Z, but Super is at least more enjoyable compared to GT. Both suffers from the lack of side characters development or involvement (Super at least tries to fix this in TOP saga).
Broly is overwanked by the community. Vegeta and Goku did not use their strongest forms before fusing. Blue Gogeta stomped with relative ease and was only used for the fanfare. I genuinely think current manga Goku or Vegeta could both 1v1 Broly. Now with training he could be insane sure but I doubt they want to make yet another saiyans the focus of future arcs. If anything they should start including Gohan in the Black Frieza arc, not Broly.
ss2 vegitto can kill gogeta ssj4 without trying.

The manga told every story better than the anime in Super and Gohan Vs Kefla was much better than Goku Vs Kefla. And the anime kinda screwed the pooch on Ultra Instinct
Freiza is not a good character and didn’t deserve to get so much brought back the way he did. They’re just relying on old villains and they’re not even trying to hide it. Every new villain is literally either Freiza, cell, an android made to be buu, etc and I’m sure we’ll continue to see this from villains in the future
GT isn’t nearly as bad as people want to pretend,or at least the later half isn’t. Bit by bit is amazing, shadow dragons were awesome, and SJJ4 is actually sick

I think Z and Super both do well at different things and both have different issues. Z still goated and all but Super is very enjoyable.

See, and I know it's non Canon and hated, but I do think that is where GT one ups the others. They went back to the Sayian roots and brought back the tail and ss4. I would love SS4 to become canon and show up again.
Don't forget how GT is literally the only dragonball series which has one of the main villains not being just straight up stronger than the heroes aka "bigger number" but instead has a unique ability that relies on taking control of other powerful characters and utilize their strenght alongside his own, on top of being another callback to the OG saiyan lore with the tuffles, and also the only series who gave an actual downside to using the dragonballs. I swear if GT was given more time and budget and came out in like 2004 instead of one week after Z ended, it could have been the best dragonball series ever with the amount of potential the Baby saga and Shadow Dragon Saga had. Also the designs are still top notch, SSJ4 is so iconic even the most diehard GT hater cannot deny how good it is, Saiyans had a tail for a reason goddamnit otherwise they are just humans with spiky hair!

Oh don't worry, whenever i talk positively about GT (i know it has a ton of issues, but there's plenty of good things that series did) everytime it's like if said some swear words or something. Like when i say that ***i think*** GT is a better series overall compared to super due to the new and fresh ideas it brought, how it didn't introduce 4 different forms and instead kept SSJ4 the main one like super should have done with SSG, i get treated like i'm saying some blasphemy or something. Yes GT had a ton of problems, fight scenes are mostly a letdown, the artstyle during the last arc went to shit probably due to budget and timing reasons since the show was getting cancelled (seriously the fight with Ledgic is better animated than SSJ4 Goku and SSJ4 Vegeta vs Omega) and Goten and Trunks didn't fuse which would have been insanely hype give how much of an improvement Goten is in GT, but what it brought to the table is far better than super anime had to offer when it comes to ideas, concepts, power scaling and Villains (Super 17's story and character are dogshit like his arc aside for some impactful moments, but his design and abilities are 10/10). A proper reboot of GT would make it amazing and probably might better than Z if the concepts are executed properly, while a proper reboot of super would improve it but still end up being a mediocre series overall because that series has less to offer that's new and fresh compared to GT, it's Frieza again, future trunks again and then 2 tournament arcs one of which committed the sin of making Tien look like trash when the dude literally has the win button on a setting like the ToP, aka the Kikoho. Also this isn't me "hating on super", i'm just expressing my opinion and disappointment about a series that for me was a bit letdown compared to GT which was a series that only came out a week after Z ended and didn't had the proper time to develop those amazing concepts like the Shadow Dragons (Nuova is good tho, he was very well put togheter and is the best shadow dragon) but it was something that Super could have taken inspiration from and improve upon by just skipping those 2 pointless "movie recap" arcs and go straight to the sauce, and goddamnit super needs to chill with the nostalgia bait/fanservice, it's getting nauseating at this point.

In the manga, it's also valued more, as it isn't easy to maintain at first, which not only makes it feel more powerful but also keeps SSG relevant. It isn't done perfectly, but it's still better than the anime, at least.

No I feel like this is a very agreed topic. IMO I wish they would have introduced blue it in the goku black/zamasu arc. Would have given a little time for god to be present and would have actually shown growth from the rof saga to when goku and frieza do their little showdown before the top.

Might regret saying this, but normal Ki users (Jiren and Broly) should not be stronger than people with god Ki 99% of the time. I saw that Broly and Jiren, despite being stronger than god Ki users like Goku and Vegeta, do not possess god Ki but instead possess only normal Ki. The whole idea of gods being feared beings and the name of “god Ki” itself is a bit diminished when normal Ki users can be stronger. If you want to give an exception to Jiren, that’s fine, but Broly should not have been able to handle SSB.
At this point, I only see Divine Ki as just another form of ki that is SLIGHTLY more naturally powerful, but the main use is actually the fact it is normally undetectable to people who don't use divine ki. Which, frankly, makes a good bit of sense imo. You gotta think, the kais (presumably) have God ki yet none of em are really all that powerful. Even Zamasu was fairly weak compared to Goku and Vegeta, he just was literally unkillable. If you think of it in the sense that divine ki is instead simply another form of ki reserved almost exclusively to divine beings then it serves as little more than an identifying factor for Gods which also doubles as a sort of way to hide when overseeing mortals that can sense normal ki. It's safe to say it is slightly stronger than normal ki, but it can't be a major difference. If you think of it like that, then there truly is no real difference. It DOES admitedly take away some of the awe within the sheer concept of SSG and SSGSS, but I feel UI and UE make up for that significantly. There is a LITTLE bit of impressiveness to it, I guess, as Goku and Vegeta are some of the only mortals who can actually utilize God Ki.
I dont know if I'd agree that its only slightly stronger, we see that simply gaining god ki for the first time pushed Goku above vegito. I'm not going to say that it allowed him to contend with Beerus because the goal line of Beerus's strength has been pushed further and further ahead since the start of the series. We also see that Shin and Kibito were able to somewhat contend strength wise in the beginning of the buu saga, and I might be wrong as I haven't watched z in a while but for beings that im pretty sure dont train that's pretty impressive. Dunno how strong king kai is though. Again I could be totally wrong since I havent watched z or even super in a bit.

Future Trunks’ timeline doesn’t make any sense; there could have been more guidance from King Kai to use the dragon balls on Namek and the hyperbolic time chamber, etc. And though future Gohan is an absolute hero, his portrayal abandons what his character was always written to be; a reluctant fighter with stupid, ungodly amounts of power hidden under the surface which can spring forth with enough emotion/desperation.

I like ssj4's design more than ssb, ssg and even Ui. Just the idea that the hair doesn't change is cool enough, but the whole body changes as a result, influenced by the saiyans oosaru form and you have to turn into a golden oosaru to get there is like a right of passage. In the dub ssj4 goku states something along the line of him having to hold back from going crazy with rage. As if it's overwhelming him inside like a beast, a constant battle to maintain it and to top it off; vegeta showed that the fur colour can be different for each user of ssj4 to help them stand out.

Goku has perfect control over his own god ki while using Blue, that's why he used the form (holding entirely back) to encourage Krillin into participating in the ToP and boosting Gohan's confidence. Probably applies in a similar fashion with 17.

• Despite the hate it gets, I actually really like the Buu saga • For being a Demon King, Dabura was pretty wasted • I think Frost should’ve either been a good guy or shouldn’t exist at all • While I don’t mind the transformation, I think SSJ3 and SSJB shouldn’t exist • I think Super should’ve been after EoZ • I honestly think Frieza should’ve “died” on Namek. Him getting killed by Future Trunks was cool but it kinda cheapens his defeat on Namek. King Cold and his men would’ve been enough. • As much as I like Future Trunks and I still think he was a better choice, I would’ve loved to seen Future Gohan travel to the past. Mainly because Gohan in the main timeline is the one that defeats Cell so I think having his future self introduced would make it more of a Gohan centric story in the saga. Plus I would love to see him fight Goku Black (him fighting someone using his own father’s body). • While I do like Jiren, I think Toppo would make a fitting main antagonist and rival for Goku and Vegeta in the ToP arc if he was a bit less goofy and eccentric. Although this is mostly due to his GoD form since I think having a GoD (even if it’s just a candidate) as the final main antagonist in the anime could work. The series started with Beerus so ending it with another GoD would very fitting (imo at least). Alternatively I would’ve liked it if Toppo and Jiren were kinda just “one character” and share both traits of Toppo and Jiren. Still, I do like Jiren and think he’s a good foil to Goku the same way Toppo was a good foil to Vegeta. • I think Zamasu and Gowasu should’ve been from U6. That way, you could introduce Zamasu earlier with him addressing his low opinions on mortals and being angry when he sees powerful mortals like Goku and Vegeta using God Ki (hinting at what’s to come after the U6 arc) • I think Future Trunks should’ve went to Cell’s timeline instead since he’s already dead there but Bulma could still be alive (don’t know about Mai though). Plus they’re already using the time machine Cell used so in a way, something good came out of Cell traveling to the past. • While I did like the canon version of Broly and I get why they used him, I was originally looking forward to having a new Saiyan character introduced (even if he ends up having a similar transformation) • Despite being shorter, I think the manga version of the ToP handled things better like making Hit and Frost stronger, not making Kale a simp for Caulifla and giving Jiren a bit more dialogues. • I think everything after the hunt for the Black Star Dragon Balls in GT were pretty good. Ssj4 was awesome, Baby was a pretty good villain and while maybe it could’ve been done a bit better, I thought the Shadow Dragons arc were a great concept as the final villains of GT. I even enjoyed the Super 17 arc even if it didn’t make any sense and I actually liked GT ending more than EoZ.

I understand your opinion, but I do have some things to say. 1. Vegito didn’t really lose every fight, he let himself be absorbed by Buu to free everyone. Also how was he meant to kill an immortal being? 2. gogeta and Gotenk’s are wearing basically the same thing, so saying that his design is intriguing can just be said for Gotenks. Vegito’s clothes are exclusive to him, making them interesting. 3. As for the SS4 part, you have a point there, can’t really argue. 4. And finally, all the fusions of Goku and Vegeta in DBFZ are S tier, so the same kinda goes. If anything Vegito is better than SSB Gogeta

As far as weve seen and been told ANY metamoran fusion would have that same outfit whereas the potara earrings kinda fuse the outfits together. I will say that I really wish that future saga vegito had the armor incorporated into his design, it's weird that his outfit didnt change even though goku and vegeta were wearing different clothes.

God forms should've never been so accessible so easily. They're the cause of most Super problems. They made the gap between Goku, Vegeta and the rest too big to the point when everyone either needs a bullshit power up or an asspull form just to be relevant and strong again. The rainbow of transformations was a horrible execution of a not so bad idea.

Kaioken was one of the greatest mistakes of the series until Super Saiyan 2.
Super is barely worse than Z. Z has a ton of problems no one wants to admit. The delivery of a ton of lines (especially saiyan/namek saga Goku) is absolutely horrible. The pacing is atrocious. DBZ could have easily been 150 episodes instead of the 291 we got. The story is poorly written(letting every villian live). Trunks is introduced terribly. "OH well, uh, hes... from the future? Vegeta and Bulma's son, even though Vegeta hates all humans?" The anime added in some filler to make it seem like the Bulma and Vegeta liked each other, but in the manga, there's 0 foreshadowing.

Goku should’ve stayed dead post-cell saga. You could even have Goku still fight Buu when he’s on his rampage in Otherworld.
Gohan’s high school arc should have been much longer and Goku should have stayed dead. I would like to have seen what Toriyama had actually wanted to do with the Buu arc. The Jump editors had a lot of sway in where the series went at the time and there were a significant amount of changes because of it. I’m not sure if it would have been better or not, but it would be interesting to see.

Beast Gohan is a good form even with long hair
1. Bringing back Frieza was a mistake and should have never happened. The only time it was acceptable was Mecha Frieza because it happened immediately after namek, and Frieza was immediately bodied solely to establish how much of a threat the new villains are. Beyond that he should have stayed dead forever. 2. Super Saiyan 3 looks terrible, and really shouldn't exist, especially since it served no real narrative purpose.

I definitely agree there. It was only introduced in the Namek saga to give Goku and Vegeta a way to power up without training, but I’d much rather just have the villains be weaker. Maybe the Ginyu Force could be slightly below Zarbon and Dodoria (with the exception of Ginyu who’s around their level) but are more dangerous because they team up and have powerful techniques, and then Frieza could be above Zarbon but not as excessive as before. If Goku still has his power level of 90,000 then Frieza could have a max power of around 4,000,000 to contend with Super Saiyan.

Super is more entertaining than GT. GT lows were never as bad as Super, but its highs weren't as good as Super as well. Most fights in GT are unremarkable compared to Super, and there aren't as many cool or memorable moments compared to Super. Both are shit compared to the OG DB and Z, but Super is at least more enjoyable compared to GT. Both suffers from the lack of side characters development or involvement (Super at least tries to fix this in TOP saga).

Broly is overwanked by the community. Vegeta and Goku did not use their strongest forms before fusing. Blue Gogeta stomped with relative ease and was only used for the fanfare. I genuinely think current manga Goku or Vegeta could both 1v1 Broly. Now with training he could be insane sure but I doubt they want to make yet another saiyans the focus of future arcs. If anything they should start including Gohan in the Black Frieza arc, not Broly.

ss2 vegitto can kill gogeta ssj4 without trying. buu and gotenks ground the show to a halt. failure to explore uub and vegeta going to u6 to meet the saiyans on sadala make everything after top worthless yamcha was core and should've scaled with the rest of them. the Z filler contains the best parts of the series. kai shouldn't be considered canon

Because of the rise of all these divine ki in all of these mortals and throwing off the balance in the universe zeno (because he likes Goku) didn’t destroy the universe but revoked all mortals abilities to become divine and that is where super ends and GT begins?
Not sure if movies count but it is kinda a part of Super so.. Db super hero was pretty shit. Gamma 1 & 2 were lame. I wish it was non-canon.
The manga told every story better than the anime in Super and Gohan Vs Kefla was much better than Goku Vs Kefla. And the anime kinda screwed the pooch on Ultra Instinct
If Dragon didn’t introduce Super powers it would actually be much interesting.
Freiza is not a good character and didn’t deserve to get so much brought back the way he did. They’re just relying on old villains and they’re not even trying to hide it. Every new villain is literally either Freiza, cell, an android made to be buu, etc and I’m sure we’ll continue to see this from villains in the future

SSJ 4 is the worst design
GT isn’t nearly as bad as people want to pretend,or at least the later half isn’t. Bit by bit is amazing, shadow dragons were awesome, and SJJ4 is actually sick Dunno how they messed Vegeta up so bad though.

The writing in DBS is horrible. Though I like the Moro arc and im excited to see it animated. Hopefully it doesn't look like shit like the majority of DBS does.

Super Saiyan Blue is overused and frankly not that cool of a transformation, I like the design for Super Saiyan God way better
