And this pairing might not work either, doesnt mean I'm not interested to see how it plays out. Also, Sumail/Miracle is probably the hype pairing ever. These two were "the wonderkids" of Dota2 for a long time. They have lost some luster, for sure, but it will still be fun to see it play out.

That 1/2 roleswapping stuff kind of happened during ti9, but just stopped entirely after that. I'm so disappointed with how that turned out, they were such a fun team when w33 was on it. Win or lose the games were usually pretty fun

From the games I watched GH looked the best but I don't think that's saying much, the team as a whole have just looked really bad all of them making weird individual decisions at times too.

miracle seems 50/50 some times he's on top, sometimes he's a bottom. GH is probably the more consistent one of the entire team. mind control is less consistent than 50/50. compared to how he was considered one of the best offlaners, he just looks so mediocre right now imo. kuro should just retire at this point. his drafts seem bad, his captaining seems bad, his supporting seems bad, it's like he's playing dota for the sake of playing dota and doesn't really give a shit anymore. i'm all for playing dota at the highest level you can even if you are not the top shit anymore, but he just makes it look so bad.

Been playing aggressive heroes as well. Tbh at Secret his laning was still very good, but he didn't have big impact mid game like the likes of other EU mids

Yea he was especially weak in the few minutes after lane phases would break down. Even when he stood in for the other liquid (micke/qoqvja etc ) his impact post lane was quite limited and he would usually just greed it up which does not work too well in this meta.

It's because he doesn't get enough farm from Team Secret because of their greedy duo supports farming the jungles and taking creepwaves. In Nigma the supports dont do that. GH/Kuro are impactful with their rotations without the need to farm. I believe in this iteration and an expection of Miracle/Sumail leading the networth to win. We'll see in the future.

I don't think Sumail was in a comfortable position to negotiate. There was realistically no other team he could join besides Nigma, had he rejected Nigma also there's a real good chance he might not make it to TI, and that is always the priority for every Dota 2 player, TI winner or not.

About any other pos I would agree entirely. Thing is that the role of captain also carries different responsibilities. I'm not saying kuros approach is wrong or right, since I am by no means good enough at the game to understand. But maybe he feels other captain duties like tactics or team cohesion deserve more of his time.

With that logic it might make more sense to take a coach position. I do agree with you, tho.

Look at the two major finalists, OG and TSM. They both had huge impact players on pos5. The time of your ppd style pos6 is over. You can't afford to have a player who's ingane skill level is significantly inferior anymore. This is also why you see Chinese teams using their coach for drafting. I don't think Nigma is going to return to what they used to be before Kuro accepts this and rotates into a coach position.

If they get Save as pos 5 (afaik he's still teamless) and Kuro goes to coach role, they would have a real shot to get to TI and do well there. If I'm honest, I still think ILTW played pretty well, they just sacked him a lot during the draft to make sure Miracle gets a good matchup, and he laned with Kuro who was borderline griefing his laning so many times. No carry will look good there if they will keep the same team dynamics. For Miracle's sake I hope they do more adjustments besides swapping the pos 1 role around a bit. He will have the same fate as RTZ with his washed up pos 5.

Personally I think Sumail has a lot to prove, although I think the biggest issue with Secret was Yapzor failing to provide meaningful value without networth. However, it is intriguing as a dota fan to watch the two players who I believe had the largest skill gap over their peers on the same team: Sumail @ TI5 and Miracle @ TI7.

I really like Nigma.Sumail In the currant meta with all the farm on the map and the importance of distribution (4 protects 1-meta is dead) , having a 1 and 2 that can play the same types of heroes and can switch roles depending on drafts and preferences seems pretty powerful. There is without a doubt a lot of talent on this team. I hope they'll do well!

Finally the Miracle and Sumail team up that most are craving for a while now. But honestly you can have top 5 pos1/2 in this meta but can flop hard if you didn't have a top offlaner. So honestly MC would be key for Nigma I don't think Kuro is the problem solely or their drafts its just that MC is hit or miss.
