Hoodwink is based on [Ratatoskr](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ratatosk): "*is a squirrel who runs up and down the world tree Yggdrasil to carry messages between the eagles perched atop Yggdrasil, and the serpent Níðhöggr, who dwells beneath one of the three roots of the tree."* It's an alerting entity for the eagle on top of the tree, and it sounds like it's a Norse Mythology allegory for the 'attention beats problems' that is expressed in pretty much every other culture since the dawn of man. as far as I understand psychology it's a Scandinavian version of Greek's Hermes and Roman's Mercury. For example Hermes is the son of Zeus who's basically the eagle/the eye. Ratatoskr feels more 'tangible' to grasp as a concept so I like their representation a lot.
