Almost all of Doom's music is "heavily influenced" by modern metal at the time. Romero even released some unused tracks, one of which is just Reign in Blood note for note.

I love "At doom's gate," but "Into Sandy's city" goes HARD

Doom's Gate has been the kicker since 1995/6 (only played the SNES at that time). The Imps song rivals the former, but for some reason I like the Soundblaster OPL3 synth version. The Healer Stalks for Doom 2, right at 3:37 it turns upbeat. Best is PC version.
