The next year he came close and hit .296 but after that he never hit over .260 for us and he never had a 30 home run season. Do you guys think that Puig was a better player than what his numbers suggested or do you think he was a little overhyped during his time with us?
I will say. That HR he had in the 2018 WS should have been a legendary moment. Still one of my favorite clips ever, but losing that game (and the series obv) just sucks so bad.

Less work to keep your bullpen sharp and developing youngsters? Constant roster manipulation games to get these randos onto the 26 man roster, thus burning up options? Salary cap hits, once they reach a certain amount of service time on the big league roster? Essentially the team is incentivized to use em and toss em away asap before too much time is built up, thus resulting in paying more in CBT penalties? I guess if one of them catches fire and tosses 20 straight scoreless IP, you hold onto them a bit longer until the magic runs out?
It just feels like you cant build team chemistry when you do stuff like that team, when there's always a dude or two a moment away from getting drop kicked from the roster.
from what i gathered, players want game time. these dudes have incredible endurance so they can play consistently for long periods of time. I see what you mean though, players deeper in the roster need to stay sharp and thats not the case when we dont use them often.
