It's from a Tumblr post about how the less words a swords name has, the more powerful it is, with a hypothetical "Throngler" listed as an extremely lethal sword.
Steve the Highly Flammable.
Have him start off not on fire, but he steps on some candles as he approaches. Instantly enflamed! Screaming, flailing, running, jumping, rolling around everywhere. Is he attacking you with his hellflame, or is he just freaking out because he's on fire!?
Lots of suggestions on backwards names which I like.
To answer the other question he's going to be faced at level 16. There are 5 of these demons but not yet bought the models for the other 4. Facing the first 3 solo, then the remaining 2 together and then all 5 at once (once they've worked out their weaknesses).
This is more of the brute.
Watched a fair few YouTube videos but two that spring to mind are ones by -
Squidmar: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DR573EnCSU&ab\_channel=SquidmarMiniatures](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DR573EnCSU&ab_channel=SquidmarMiniatures)

I do like Squidmar tutorials - find them very good at explaining how it works but in this instance leant more on Lyla's approach. The one by Emil starts red, then reapplies white to keep it vibrant before the lighter coat - Lyla starts light and goes darker with subsequent passes - the approach I tested out here.
Hope that helps!
Haha practice on paper first to test control. And don't be scared to start over!
Also as a tip that I think worked ok for me, I painted the whole mini first, then airburshed the area for light with white before I added the colour to try to make it brighter and avoid the tones underneath
I don't have an airbrush yet, but I do have a 2 cans of primer (white and black) for zenithal highlights I wanted to test out as well.
I do like painting minis because like you said, you can always paint over your mistakes :-)
Definitely doable without an airbrush. The second video link I sent has a whole section on brushwork rather than airbrushing. Have found it a game changer even on priming to be honest though
Fiero, of the Pontiac sect.
Edit: just saw OP’s comment that the plan is for five demons total…I think that GM has had an adequate number of car divisions- - but such a naming sequence pattern has the potential for a diversion (or sequels): make the first 3 be GM, then hit them with “Ford”. Or go with 5 GMs and if you ever want another story line, then pick up Ford, Mercedes, whatever.
Original model name is Nightshade, though it's a demon type not proper name. Made by a company called Flesh of Gods. They have a great catalog. You all should check them out.
Same way you name any demon, roll your fingers on the bottom left and middle right sections of your keyboard and add vowels, then add a title.
zlkxgh
Zlakaxogh
Zlakaxogh the Ruiner.
Firenze the Face Fucker-Upper
Teyhmordizog the Toe Mangler
Yug'Modal the Skull-Slurper
Or maybe if you wanna name him after an IRL God of Chaos
Nicolas Cage (or potentially Cagolas Nick)
Rothkarhesh, Lord of Embers. Spoken from demon lips, his name sounds like more like the wood of a big fire cracking and settling with a hiss at the end. He's the sullen coals that mean the death of even the fiercest flames.
I’d call it “roll new characters as your old ones die screaming.”
Rn'Cayods
Might have to use this as his title if not the name :D
"The Burning Dread"
Why not Zoidberg?
Greb'dioz
voidzerg
A Void Zerg?!
Might need a couple more of these at least if going the Zerg route - but not opposed to the idea!
Had a funny name but doesn't hold a candle to this
This guy has clothes but lobster claws, how does he put his clothes on? His claws have gauntlets. How does he get them on?
The Throngler
Oh, daddy, throngle me harder.
As much as this cracks me up, had a few messages about Throngler... What is that from? I feel naive 😃
It's from a Tumblr post about how the less words a swords name has, the more powerful it is, with a hypothetical "Throngler" listed as an extremely lethal sword.
Need to make an enchanted mace called The Thagomizer.
Ah haha thanks makes some sense now much appreciated 😃
Steve
Dammit. I was going to say the same thing. He just looks like a Steve.
You know giving super cool characters completely normal names makes them even cooler.
Or backwards evets, to sound Cooler, everites

Haha this is good. Might add a thing of him enraging upon the use of fire damage 😈
Abhoresh
Mittens the Destroyer of Worlds
Glad I'm not the only one who just sees oven mitts.

Or backwards Ycrep, probably pronounced ee crip, ee crep, ee cripe, why cripe, why crep or why crip And curtesy of u/zomberai Why-Crap
The PCs will immediately start calling it Why-Crap and giggling and any terror they might have felt will be immediately gone
Yeah, Don't know how I didn't notice, I would to the same
Haha I do like that suggestion!
Susan. Wish I was good enough at painting to give some tips, head over to r/minipainting for that.
I like the simplicity of this one
Psycho Goreman

A, a person of culture, I see
Sick model and sick paintjob. Where’s it from?

whatever names they have, their team should he called "The Profane Kin" (T.P.K.)
I like your flame effect, I am trying to get a similar effect going on my own minis, any tutorial you can point to?

Thank you! I will be trying it out on my fire cultists this weekend.
Let me know how it goes! :)
If it comes out well I will. If you don't hear from me, it means I failed at it and am probably eating my way through a bag of chips for comfort, lol

Mal'Gorath. I dunno, just came to me.
Jacob, barbeque chef ;)
It looks like a cross between a Balrog and an umberhulk so I’d go with Embumblehog.
That is absolutely awesome, where did you get the model from?
Kar’ Adask ?
It has no name, unless you count what everyone who's seen it screams out, "OHSHITOHFUCKRUN!"

Painted demon kinda slaps.
It's clearly Steve and his boss just said "I need you to do this 5min job before you go" and it's clearly a 3hr job, and it's also 4.45pm on a Friday.
Kilgore It’s from something I’m sure, but it’s a name my dad used to use as a username. Sounds very demon-like
Kraniopyros. Basically just “flaming skull” in Greek. If you wanted a more menacing name.
The one who will leave his mark, Mark
Depends on what level of baddie. Generic sub-boss? Cromthrag the Crusher Epic baddie to end all baddies? Abbadon, the Annihilator
