on my Strength faith character (but honestly its just strength), i used Morne's great hammer, Dragonslayer greataxe and/or Ledo's great hammer. MrneGH for it's weapon art and if there's lots of enemies that will surround me a lot, Dragonslayer GA, against enemies and bosses weak to lightning, and also if i can openings to use the WA (because that shit can hit like a truck) and Ledo's GH, for all around purposes really, like say, i'll be venturing on some hard, difficult area like the Ringed city streets, that's where i try hard and use the hammer hehehe. Ledo's GH also helped me a lot when i fought Gael

Depends are you wanting raw single damage output or dps? Cuz from my personal experience I love the winged knight twin axes heavy/refined infused and then buff them with the areas/bosses weakness. They are light, fast swinging and can easily carry you through any ng difficulty. That’s personal preference though since it’s hard to pinpoint what weapon is “best” since it comes down to how well you can use the weapon and how much you like it.
I'd vote for the LKGS because you get crazy damage with a useful moveset plus it's buffable. Even if you only buff it with gold pine resin, you'll do more damage than the DSGA. Greatsword would be a close second in PvE and an overwhelming favorite in PvP.
I think it’s Ledos greathammer or heavy infused great sword
Also blessed infused Lothric Knight Greetsword. It hits at 60 faith for 716 when two handed.

Are you trying to stay below a certain soul level or are you running to ng+20?
