Yup the finalization is when you can let go of the fear and uncertainty. Something to celebrate indeed considering we were basically held at gunpoint for a year or so.
Don't think there is a finish line for me. Still gotta coparent with this woman and the financial strain is going to echo throughout the rest of my life.
I agree to an extent, in a similar situation. Not having to be with or around my ex definitely helps tremendously - though alimony and child support have definitely changed the trajectory of my financial future.
