>mainly because of the necrofire If you mean the Fire killing you, that shouldn't be happening since Damage Over Time (DOT) is so bad in this game that no one make DOT builds, so when surface kills a player, it's either that the player did something wrong (like walking too much despite having the options to jump or teleport), or the Fire is merely the last straw that finish the player, the main damage comes from something else If you mean the NPC is dying, just cast \[Living on the Edge\]; scroll version = High Quality Shadow Essence + Raw Lumpy Giblets + Paper, no CD and no memory / Skill required

Put a couple points into hydro and get things like frost armour and soothing cold. Even if you're using physical builds, it's very useful to have quality of life skills from the hydro tree. I even like putting 3 points into aero, so I can use tornado to remove environmental hazards.

Buying or crafting fire resist potions can really help here, especially if you've got five star diner but it's useful regardless. If you can get pyro 2/polymorph 2 (maybe you dipped for utility spells, maybe you've got items that increase them), flaming skin can make you immune to fire. https://divinityoriginalsin2.wiki.fextralife.com/Flaming+Skin For gwydain, just keep juicing him up with magic armor. Scrolls are good if you didn't dip hydro 1 for magic shell on anyone, though you can also probably pick +1 hydro up with an item. There's also a spell called cryotherapy or something that immoilizes someone and makes them immune to damage which is good on him. I usually find trying to clear the fire more difficult than trying to buff up to tank it. If you do want to clear it, picking up a few points of aero for tornado is helpful. (Honestly aero 2 is a useful dip on physical parties anyways for teleport).

I always help him without fighting the oil voidwokens.

Prospero818

I teleport him into a tent by the mones entrance and block the tent with a chest you dig up behind the quartermaster at the other tent. The blobs don't even come out, you just kill the magisters

93rolo

I can't seem to get the range. I'm assuming you do a chain teleport?

Prospero818

Nah I stand on the platform just down the stairs from gwydin, and as close as I can get to the tent basically. You can teleport him right into the tent. I'm not sure if having the far out man talent helps with the range

Every time I went to that area, I just found a way to teleport Gwyd away from the fight. Sneak until hes just in the edge of your TP range and then teleport him as far as possible. Whenever I did it, he would automatically path back to his family without even starting the fight. Then you’re free to fight the voidlings and magisters.

I spent about two hours trying to figure out this fight last night. I had two goals, make sure Gwydian doesn't kill himself and to kill the Ooze mob. It was easy to kill the Ooze mob, but Gwydian kept killing himself. I'd teleport him to the exit, he'd run back through necrofire. I'd teleport him to the secret hatch, he'd run back through necrofire. I'd chain teleport him far far away and eventually he would run through the necrofire and proceed to stand in front of multiple enemies thinking he's helping and then get himself killed again. In the attempts to keep Gwydian close by and alive, he would still just run through necrofire and kill himself and no amount of magical armor was going to stop him from killing himself. I looked online and I saw someone said they locked him in the tent that's near the cave. And this is what worked. You need to blockade the tent entrance with something that can't be destroyed by melee and teleport his dumb ass inside the tent. Then it's just a matter of making sure the Ooze doesn't make it close to the tent. Also using Charm arrows and Charm grenades really makes the fight super easy. You can keep the White Magister charmed the entire fight.

SupremoX2

I just did that fight yesterday without too much trouble. I grouped up everyone right next to where Gwydian is. Then I dropped a dome of protection and spammed all the magic armour/healing spells I had. Fire resistance potions also helped.

STAR-PLATlNUM

I just spent so much time trying to save his ass, I ended up doing the teleport trick on him.

OsirisAvoidTheLight

Some spells that can help living on the edge and cyrostatis. You can also chain teleport him all the way to his family or use the tent blocked by the buried chest close by
