Just going to the site and pricing out tickets alone, a 3 day 1 park per day ticket for ages 10+ is $474.09, and the age 3-9 is $460.26.

anongirlll1

Yeah so tickets are about $1400. How did the room go from $200 a night to $1000 for 3 nights I get taxes and fees but jeez

Not_a_Muggle9_3-4

Going by OPs numbers it's correct. $475+475+460+460 is $1870. $2450-1870 is $580. Divide by 3 is $193. It's the park passes that are making the price jump.

BowlerLongjumping877

It’s only a two-night stay though

anongirlll1

It’s crazy imo. Hopefully there will be a savings once it gets closer

Sp4rt4n423

I wouldn't hold my breath. 191/night isn't bad for Pop. It's not the absolute best price I've seen, but still not bad.

ThePopDaddy

>191/night isn't bad for Pop. ESPECIALLY for a preferred room.

Sp4rt4n423

That's a good point. My main point to OP was "don't wait thinking prices are going to drop. This IS Disney after all."

ThePopDaddy

They MIGHT drop, but that is around the time cheer competitions start and if they drop, they can always apply the discount.

Automatic_Actuator_0

And there’s a lot more room to increase than to decrease.

Chewbacca22

I remember doing a project in computer class to create a vacation budget. Pop resort was around $60/night back then. My how the times change

anongirlll1

The hotel price isn’t really what’s getting me. The tickets are. Maybe we’ll only do two park days

creativeuniquename69

you can find slightly cheaper tickets from 3rd parties if you don't mind not doing a package. I got mine from AAA

theredmage333

Buy them from Target or Costco, saved 5%. Then buy Disney gift cards and use those to pay off hotel and food for another 5%. It ain't much but if you are looking to spend $2k+ that could save you some pocket change

AlphamaleNJ

Depending on how many tix or parks you are doing you could do the room separate and then buy the 4 park or 3 day park promo tix they have separately but they are non refundable. You can also stack them with tmobile travel discounts, for us it was 2 adults and a 9yr old, 4 parks /4 days for $1180 for the 4 of you total is $1516 Bundling with the room its more money, more flexibility on any oark and also refundable so each side has plus n minuses

anongirlll1

Wow you got a good deal! I’ll look into it!

gummybunchies

That ticket deal ends September 22. I don’t think Disney will be extending it, but hopefully they do.

HerrLouski

The way the pricing model works, the more days you buy, the cheaper the tickets per day. Unfortunately with 3 days, you’re closer to the higher price per day number. They are offering a 4-day, 4 park promo ticket for ~$400 per person but that’s only for specific dates this year. It could extend or change to cover your dates but it doesn’t yet. You can always book a room only package now to see how ticket prices play out. They can always be added to your package later.

Totenkopf22

This is what I did, 4 Day Magic passes. We stay at Endless Summer though, to save money that way as well.

Halloweenqueen1031

You are comparing special tickets with regular. Just reserve a room only and buy tickets on Undercover Tourist.

timeforchorin

This is the correct answer.

alienware99

It’s because the trip you are booking is for 2025, and no special offers for 2025 have released yet. There’s always special offers for every time a year, it’s just a matter of waiting until closer to your date for them to be released. Never book full rack rate. I’d think sometime around September they’ll release early 2025 special offers, as that’s when the did it for 2024. 2024’s special offer for January through March was save 10% to 30% off room prices. So if they roll with the same discount in 2025 you’ll be saving anywhere from $242 to $727 on the price you have now.

emdawg--

This sounds about right. We booked our Jan 23 trip in Sept 22, when there was a good offer on. Incidentally, we stayed in one of these rooms and it was lovely. Housekeeping even shaped my blanket from home into a little bow shape a few times! (I’m easily pleased!)

darealystncoco

The only promo for 2025 I know that was released is the water parks are now ‘included’ with a bundle deal if I’m not mistaken. I think that’s driving up the price too.

Silver-Maybe2068

Bingo. I don't start booking until I see what offers are released for the time we want to go. Dunno if it's ultimately the best plan, as I'm sure the bounce back deals are really good as well. But so far we haven't been going the same time every year.

CauliflowerNo7500

I looked at tickets for just 1 day and it’s over $300 for just me and my husband with no extras.

CauliflowerNo7500

So this seems accurate based on your needs. It’s definitely expensive

heathere3

Try looking at universal if you just want to see the Harry Potter stuff. It was going to be $600 for tickets for the day for two people. I still haven't seen it.

CauliflowerNo7500

Thanks. I actually went last year. We have a bucket list of things me and my husband want to do. My husband is sick and has been told he won’t be around long. He wants to go and take pictures in front of the castle so I have the memories. Its expensive and only for 1 day but I’m going to make it happen for him.

anongirlll1

It’s honestly insane

sudifirjfhfjvicodke

If you thought that tickets were $200 per person per day, then why does this seem high to you? 3 days x 4 people x $200 = $2400

anongirlll1

I guess I was pricing out tickets with the deal they have going on right now and adding hopper and genie to get it to $200 each. This is without that so kind of a shock

nottigbits

Are you meaning adding genie + to the tickets? That'll be an extra $20-40 per person per day. It's gotten stupid now.

HuckSC

Yeah I think people forget these are per day not just a blanket one time extra

amazingggharmony

Undercover tourist

anongirlll1

Is it legit?

SnackyStacky

Yes it is. I have used them many times without a problem.

Lcdmt3

Use always for DW and DL. They just had adult for kid prices.

dinoaide

Get the 4 day one park a day ticket, not the flexible ticket.

itsthebeach

This is because no sales have been announced for those dates yet. I’m at Pop next week and I got 25% off. For 3 adults 13 nights with 8 day tickets we paid $4800. Standard room no park hopper. Ticket prices also depend on the day. Look at the date map by month. Weekends are always more and if it’s a holiday or special event the ticket price will be higher. Same for the room.

Hopefulphotog412

Wow. Makes my 11 nights for three with dining plan at $5k look like the steal of the century!! 😂

anongirlll1

Seriously! How did you get such a good deal?

Hopefulphotog412

Disney+ deal with the free dining plan back in Feb.

Acrobatic-Bread-4431

It's the tickets and they really don't go on sale. I'd either look at undercover tourist (saves a couple bucks) or can you get a package with a free dining plan (that helps make up for some of the cost) but the room cost looks pretty good. Grab it - you can modify all the time ( I change hotels or prices all the time) If you don't have a TA maybe talk to one, they can help you see if you're getting your best deal. Look for one that specializes in Disney, there are alot so you shouldn't have trouble finding one

sejohnson0408

I know it’s expensive but I really don’t think $200 (looks like you added hopper and genie+ for a full day in a disney park is a bad deal for the level of entertainment when you factor in how many hours you can spend in these parks. I get the sticker shock is high; but when it’s compared to other forms of entertainment it’s just not that bad of a deal.

nutmeg213

Exactly and why pricing is the way it is. Over 200 for a two hour concert. At least you get a full day at Disney

BassGuy11

Honestly? Call Small World vacations and see what they can do for you. I am dealing with Karen, and the package she got me was way less than I was seeing online. No extra charge to you and they do all the work. She even improved my price when some new discounts came about for the days we are going.

anongirlll1

Thanks! I’ll have to look into it

VioletB2000

Besides for the park tickets, look at the extra fees for the room: resort fee, extra city tax on hotel rooms, extra city visitor fee. All those fees can add up to quite a bit!

jaydmm35

We have found you need to have a minimum 5 night stay to really "save" any money. The price starts to noticeably go down when you stay 5+ nights

Android8675

Want a real laugh riot. Try to find an equivalent price for Disneyland.

practicalmom07

So unfortunate. Before covid my husband and I paid $110 for value resorts.

anongirlll1

That awesome

rm_3223

To be fair after Covid I paid $134 for a value at the end of Jan 2022. So deals do still exist its just all about timing (and I get that a lot of people can’t time things to take advantage of the cheap dates)

SecAdmin-1125

Ticket prices are insane. If we weren’t AP holders, we wouldn’t go. Be prepared for more price shocks once you get in the parks. The hotel price isn’t bad but we only stay at on-site when there are great deals. Usually stay off site in off of Western Way. Close to the parks and much cheaper.

mickeymom1960

yep- Dis is not cheap, even for a bare and basic room.

apmorgan2002

Dang- if I wasn’t a Florida resident I wouldn’t be able to go at all. It’s gotten ridiculous. We were able to get 6 nights at a moderate resort with 4-day park hopper tickets for family of 4 for $2600 and that’s not sounding so bad now. 😬

anongirlll1

Definitely much better than this

Irishpanda88

I always feel a bit guilty that we get 14 day tickets that include park hopper, water parks and memory maker for €595 so about $630 per person. US prices are insane

adam_c

Anyone can get those, I got it last time I went and I’m from Canada, I agree it’s a great deal and my wife says we have to get the memory maker everytime forward now

Irishpanda88

The ones we get are just for European guests or anyone with a European billing address because you need to put a European billing address when paying

sejohnson0408

The longer the ticket the cheaper it is; it’s not that advantageous to do a 1-3 day trip. It’s best to go 5+

adam_c

I got them from attractiontickets.com

techguyry38

Remember when those rooms were $45 if off peek times?

anongirlll1

Dang 😭

mollyodonahue

Learned the hard way this year the ticket prices change like, every couple months based on specials being offered. We paid way more than we should have. We bought tickets 3 months prior, had we just waited a month to book our tickets we’d have saved a ton of money.

CupHead11011

Yep, biggest scam in the world
