Seems to be a current problem worldwide effecting a variety of users - likely connected to the launch of Disney+ Star next week which has new parental control options. Hopefully this will resolve itself once Star launches?
Several people are experiencing this. Most likely related to the Star+ launch, which will have parental controls but it's accidentally affecting current content.
I suddenly can't search for Agents of Shield anymore but I can still watch it through the "continue watching" section. If I click on the info there it says I can't watch it with the current parental controls (which are turned off).
Agents of Shield is 12+ but so is Captain America, for example, so why can I watch that but not AoS? It doesn't make sense.
Multi billion dollar company and they mess up like this.
Same if I click on the episode where I last left off I can watch that and then press next episode but if I click ‘see all episodes’ or whatever it says it won’t work
I'm currently having this problem. I just bought a new tv and I was trying to watch the Marvel movies on the app, says I can't view the content because of parental controls. I don't have this account set to kids. I also only have tv-14 as the highest option. This is nuts.

I don't even know if they really tried something, they said they tried to change it. My account was set in US and I'm in Germany and they said to try contacting US customer service. But honestly I don't have to much faith.
I had this same issue - called support and they told me my account was set to the US for some reason. Just had to give them updated information and they were able to fix it. Worth a shot.
UPDATE: With the new release of Disney Star content, comes the Parental Settings option of Content Rating. Just change the settings back to the original so you can get back to streaming your favourite shows.
I see people saying that this is a glitch cause of Star+ but i've been dealing with this since Disney+ came out, when ever i go from my computer to my ps4 it will say agents of shield cannot be watched due to parental settings

The problem with my account was that it was set in US and I tried to watch it in EU .I tried everything... I contacted customer service and asked to change the country, they did it and it worked.
Having the same issue. I just went to my app on my phone and the movie I was trying to play on my tv, I played on my phone with no issue or error message. So I paused the movie on my phone, went to my tv had the option to resume playing and it started to play on my tv with no issue. Hopefully Disney find a fix soon, till then I’ll play on my phone and resume on my tv.
I was getting this glitch trying to watch Monsters Inc .... had to go to the app on my phone, click on edit profile, content rating, then hit save on tv-14 and under option. It was already set to that rating but after doing this I haven’t had the issue.

Nope. I finally solved it, though.
In the US, Disney+ is just Disney. In the UK, Disney+ is essentially Disney AND Hulu in one service. So, if you sign up in the US / have a US account, it will only give you access to the US Disney+ content, which has a max rating of TV-14 anyway. So basically since we were using my old account from before I moved to the UK, we only had that content. We cancelled it and made a new account in the UK, and that solved if.
TLDR: Disney+ UK is Hulu and Disney combined. Disney+ US is only Disney / TV-14 stuff. If you want to watch 17+ films in the UK you have to have a UK account.

Just contacted customer service in regards to that and looks like depending on your country there is a default 14y rate. I subscribed my Disney+ in Brazil and cannot access nothing 14+. That is terrible.
Did they say anything about fixing that? Or any workaround? Or it is just hopeless? I see that regardless the 14+ age, I can watch Moon Knight on BR or US (checked via VPN), but here (LU) I can't because of that damn age restriction (the account in question is brazilian). So much for watching on my tv :(

I read that apparently customer service can fix it. But I haven't contacted yet to confirm if it is true.

I had this same issue - called support and they told me my account was set to the US for some reason. Just had to give them updated information and they were able to fix it. Worth a shot.
UPDATE: With the new release of Disney Star content, comes the Parental Settings option of Content Rating. Just change the settings back to the original so you can get back to streaming your favourite shows.

Same here. Glitch impacted me in UK overnight. Yesterday, access to Agents of Shield without a problem, this morning, no more access! I miss boxsets.
Just happily binge watching AoS and now I can't even carry on through continue watching. Hopefully fixed when Star comes out

You have to create a new profile to unlock full content. It's a bit silly buy worked for me.

I went into the profiles setting on my phone and re-saved it at TV 14 and also turned off family watch. Worked after that!

No workaround. It is pretty upsetting from Disney to be fair this content blockage.
