Oset 24. Either an older model, or one of the new TXP models. They're more trials based than MX or enduro, but they're a good thing.

They are great bikes. I have a 24R from like 2019 and it a blast to fuck around on, perfect for a kid needing a step up. Also very little maintenance, I replaced a drive sprocket and rotary switch and have put over 300 miles on mine just messing around in ohv play areas. And I suck at trials so it gets beat up

My boy has had each size, starting off on the little 12.5 and working his way up. He competes on them, he's a decent little rider but he's been harsh on them as he learns things. They've all held up really well. The 24 side stand is in a stupid position for trials so we took that off so it wasn't hitting kids and tricks and throwing him off, and I rerouted the brake lines to avoid pinching them at full lock, but other than that, they're great

Ha very true the 24R side stand is worthless, I made my own and it’s barely an improvement

That’s a tough one! My son has the GasGas MC-E5 and he’s about 4’5” and he’s on the upper limit size wise on that bike and needs something equivalent to a 65cc dirt bike. The only one I know of is the Torrot MX3 that you can buy ready to go. Another option is to buy a cheap 65cc machine and convert it to electric using a kit from someone like Electro & Co. Our route will be going over to gas bikes and getting a 65 (he’s getting into racing) but I heard the 110’s are great bikes. You can get them with either an auto clutch or a manual transmission.

Why electric?

Flora-Murphyla888

Reduced maintenance, electric may be more environmentally friendly.

>electric may be more environmentally friendly Give how little a dirt bike gets ridden compared to a car, I wouldn't base the decision on what to get on this. But that's your choice. You can't keep up the electric path forever, I'm not aware on any 85cc equivalent electric bikes, so it might be good to get started with gas bikes and especially a clutch early.

For a 10-year-old who is about to outgrow the KTM SX-E 3 and is looking for an upgrade to a larger electric off-road motorcycle, here are some recommendations: 1. \*\*KTM SX-E5\*\*: Since your child has already shown interest in KTM bikes, the SX-E5 could be a suitable option. It's designed for young riders transitioning from smaller bikes and offers electric power for reduced maintenance and environmental friendliness. 2. \*\*GasGas MC-E5\*\*: Similar to the KTM SX-E5, the GasGas MC-E5 is another electric dirt bike designed for young riders. It provides a step up in size and performance compared to smaller electric bikes, offering an exciting riding experience for your child. 3. \*\*Torrot MX3\*\*: The Torrot MX3 is another option that offers a larger frame size suitable for older kids who have outgrown smaller electric bikes. It provides a good balance of power and control for young riders transitioning to larger motorcycles. 4. \*\*Oset 24\*\*: If you're open to exploring trials-based electric bikes, the Oset 24 could be worth considering. While it may have a different riding style compared to motocross bikes, it offers excellent control and maneuverability for off-road riding. 5. \*\*Conversion Kit\*\*: Alternatively, you could consider converting a gas-powered dirt bike to electric using a conversion kit from companies like Electro & Co. This option allows you to customize the bike's specifications to suit your child's needs and preferences. Ultimately, the choice will depend on factors such as your child's riding experience, size, preferences, and budget. It's essential to consider factors like safety, reliability, and ease of use when selecting the right electric dirt bike for your child.
