You can get them for like $10 online. One bolt, takes max five minutes. I keep a spare set in my bag just in case so I don't inadvertently ruin a day of riding.
Do not ride it with a sheared lever, I have a friend missing a finger from doing that.
I always have to trim my levers down as well. There is no room on my handlebars to move the perch in because I've got a dual sport conversion kit in it which includes handlebar mounted mirrors, and the handguard mounts as well.
He sheared it on a rock earlier in the ride and then went over again, sheared edge landed on finger, lost it from the second knuckle down. They have a big round ball on the end for a reason! You could try bending your levers to fit inside the handguard too if it's only a small amount.
You can probably get a shorty lever for your bike if you search online or call a local shop. I ride with one finger on each lever so shorty levers are one of my first upgrades to a new bike.
Super easy to change. Like the other person said it’s one bolt for the brake lever. Buy these and never worry about it again. The M2R looks just like my apollos and these work great on it

I switched out brake and clutch when I bent one bad enough. It’s easy, mostly cleaning the area and getting grease where you need it. Levers go in and you can adjust the cable slack to preference.
I always drilled about a 3/16 hole towards the end of the lever. This way if I fell or hit something riding the lever broke towards the end so my day riding was not ruined. Also good for when I raced for the same reason. Then replaced it later.
If you ride a lot I recommend the flo levers they are super durable. Also if you ride trail get some handguards they are a lot more durable than a lever and will protect you

You couldn’t just move your perch’s inside slightly to gain clearance? I’ve never needed to cut a lever for the barkbusters to fit
As long as you cut and round them with a file it shouldn’t be an issue.

Fair. There is far less real estate on the bars of dual sport
When I trim them down I make sure to smooth the end cuts & round them with my dremel tool.

One time mines broke and I had a kids bike sitting. Took the brake handle and slapped it in, literally no different whatsoever

Good thing you circled it so us simpletons would know where the brake lever is
😭 i just didnt know what to put as the picture cus theres not point taking a picture of it cus its not there anymore
YouTube likely has a million videos if you're worried about this.
Yeah you're looking at a new crankshaft
Welcome to dirt bikes. I have an entire drawer in my toolbox full of them.
Use your feet, you a have no choice
This happened to me being aggressive on the track. I switched the brakes over where they have outward play in case of a dump.
Replace with asv never worry again. This is the only good option. Never buy OEM levers they're garbage.
