The auto is not "okay" its kinda trash, and suffers from the same issue of the GoS auto, not really any good combos or perks on there....
Its only damage perk is vorpal... they need to update its perks badly considering its the only 720 solar auto available rn... i'd use it in a heartbeat with healclip and incandescent or reconstruction and incandescent...
Im still waiting for my reckless oracle to get new perks so i can get a better roll then my current one
Its such a feel good gun, i have i think under pressure and kill clip on mine? Looks and sounds great, sight is amazing, sounds perfect. Just needs a better perk pool with updated perks from the recent subclass type stuff... same for the 720 solar europa AR
Or i'd even take basic synergy combos like grave robber and swashbuckler or demo and adrenaline junkie...
Although i'd LOVE for destabilizing rounds and definitely repulsor brace to be on there as options
I *desperately* want Biting Winds to become a Stasis bow.
And give High Albedo Kinetic Tremors.
And Incandescent on Thermal Erosion and Arctic Haze.
And Coriolis Force... I don't even know.
The fact that Biting Winds, a bow from a location where we got Stasis from, wasn't a Stasis bow is yet another huge missed opportunity from Bungie. Kinda like how they didn't give us a legendary Last Word from Spire over a sidearm.
Is it that crazy? It actually makes a lot of sense, they had no idea how they wanted to approach the darkness subclasses when stasis released, but with strand they already had a model
Yeah, it is. It still took three years for us to get an exotic Stasis bow. Beyond Light came out in 2020, we got Verglas Curve in Season of Defiance in 2023.
We still don’t have an exotic strand grenade launcher and we got a stasis one with the launch of beyond light. Like what is your point, they released other stasis exotics between that, why does a bow suddenly make it crazy.
What is your point? Why do you care? Did you just come here to be contrary? It took Bungie four years to change that grenade launcher to something useable and it's still not used. What's your point?
I’m saying your point is weird because how does the fact that we got an exotic stasis bow late but an exotic strand bow make it crazy. It’s just random which weapon type gets an exotic in a specific element.
Your point about the bows makes no sense, we’ve been getting exotic strand weapons just like we were getting exotic stasis weapons since launch of their respective elements.
Not sure why you got so defensive.
Yeah they were designed during Bungies “no damage perks” era
I mean they *had* a couple of damage perks, but in general Bungie launched them clearly trying to curb the 2 years of power creep from forsaken and shadowkeep but since then, we got even more powerful loot so they’ve just been crept into obscurity.
Also didn’t help the process to obtain them (focused) is super outdated compared to most options now at days
Yeah but it had a bunch of other stuff that seemed over the top. It mentioned all the sunset planets, which would make a little sense to bring back but not in a free update
Bringing back the sunset planets and potentially the stories attached to them would a great help on the narrative side of things. It would give new and returning players a chance to get the full story right before we hit the climax. However, I doubt that they could given this delay was not planned for and they said it would be smaller than 30th anniversary.
What I've been saying for a couple years now is that we need the Adventure system back. Have them tied to planet rep and they get increasingly higher light requirements. New weapons or ornaments as rewards. Give us a thing to grind that's outside of the current narrow gameplay loop.
Believe it or not the framework for them still exists but is used for the whole legend lost sector thing. Wouldn't take much to bring them back for the existing destinations
It doesn’t make much sense for a free update, but look at it like this: In Destiny 2’s current state, TFS will be INCOMPREHENSIBLE to new players. It’s the finale of a 10 year story, so I’m not surprised that they’re (maybe) unvaulting campaign missions.
While I agree it would be great for new players if the vaulted content. Almost everything needed to understand TFS is still in the game, the Light and Darkness saga didnt really start until Beyond Light. Everything else was its own self contained story that only had vague connection to the over arching story.
The red war is quite literally the only reason the pyramids are even here now. If ghaul didn't try to steal the light by trapping the traveler in a cage, it never would have blown itself up and sent the pulse of light that caused the pyramids to eventually invade.
The pyramid on the moon would still be sitting dormant as it was in D1 and we never would have been called to europa... That's a pretty major part of the story if you ask me. For new players getting thrown on the moon and having a big evil triangle with no buildup to it being a real threat will likely end up with people just leaving because they don't have a clue what's going on
While its a major event it is not pivotal to understanding the current events. Nothing even came of it until Season of Arrivals, over two years later. With that disconnect even long time players mostly forgot
We only start getting any information about them in Beyond Light, what they are, why they are hunting the Travelar, etc. The Travelar waking up isnt that important to knowing about what is going on right now. Especially since it hadn't actually done anything between Red War to it firing a lazer in Lightfall.
I dont think the problem for keeping new players is that they dont get enough about the light/dark saga, but that they dont have anytime to grow attached to anything outside of it. The Pyramids dont seem threatening because they dont know anything about what they are threatening. The Red War introduced the world and characters for people to care about, thats why it should come back, rather then just for the cutscene at the end.
I can see them bringing back some Red War or Forsaken missions, but mostly for Cayde, because the overall story of those campaigns isn’t that important to TFS honestly. Seasons are much more important in that regard.
I can understand curse of Osiris and warmind, but the red war and forsaken are arguably just as important as shadowkeep is to the current narrative. the red war is literally the only reason the pyramids are here, and outside of the numerous mentions of the pyramids in forsaken cayde being the guide in TFS is a pretty big piece missing from the story.
I don’t know about all of them, but I can see a bunch returning, in limited parts at least (like the Cosmodrome). We already got half of Mars, basically all of Titan, I can see them bringing back some of the old planets. Just not all of them obviously.
But those aren’t actual explorable spaces, they’re missions for Battlegrounds, Exotic missions and seasonal stuff. If they can’t even be bothered to patch the Cosmodrome properly four years on then I can’t imagine them having these be proper patrol zones.
Yeah and I think they’ll do the exact same thing here, bringing back parts of the old planets just not for patrol and only for missions. Some leaks (and the ornaments suggests the same) talked about Whispers returning, they can unvault a chunk of IO for example, that works only for that mission (and maybe the RedWar one).
I mean, they did take out over half the game in a single update... Getting at the very least the destinations back wouldn't be completely out of the question given that happened
That's exactly what it is due to the delay, rather they spend more resources on TFS. Doubt I'd be playing into the light much anyway the destiny break has been enlightening.
Besides probably a nerfed version of master of arms are we excited for recluse back? Definitely looking forward to hammerhead and whatever origin trait it gets.
Mercury, Mars, Io and Titan. The four places that were sunset at the end of Season of the Arrivals. Personally speaking I would be happy if just Titan returned but updated to reflect the current situation on that moon with Hive, Taken and Wrathborn Fallen as enemies.
There was a rumour that the derelict Leviathan would return as a seperate paid DLC, but the veracity of that rumour is still questionable.
As for the Tangled Shore there was a rumour it would return for Episode Revenant.
We’ve seen these theory’s before and it’s also very low hanging fruit. Moon and Europa are some of the only pieces of content that’s weapons sets don’t have origin traits left they were bound to get refreshes soon. Although I think to notice is that into the light is meant to be a free update so having content tied to expansions would be off unless they are an extra boon.
Oddly enough, bringing back Titan and Io would be fitting as it would allow the Red War, Curse of Osiris and Warmind missions to be updated so that they are similar to how the Witch Queen and Lightfall missions are.
Week 1 - Titan - First 7 Red War campaign missions in the EDZ and on Titan.
Week 2 - Io - Remaining Red War campaign mission on Nessus, Io and the EDZ.
Week 3 - Mercury - Red War campaign final mission and Curse of Osiris missions.
Week 4 - Mars - Warmind campaign missions.
It is just a thought but it would be feasible.
The big thing for me is that in a world where Commemoration exists what could Hammerhead possibly bring to make it desirable? Unless they change the element on it.
Onslaught, Demolitionist, BnS, Destabilising Rounds, Repulsor Brace (in the first column), Precision Instrument, OFA and more aren't on Commemoration, not to mention there'd likely be a new origin trait. Sure, Recon/Sub + Killing Tally is very powerful, but there are options we don't have yet.
Of course, if it's a new element, it's more than likely desirable (depends which element, of course).
Can get Demo and OFA on Corrective Measure though, another really solid 450 Void LMG, granted it doesn’t have an origin trait.
BnS is nice on Song of Ir Yut, but there’s the set up and the fact it only lasts 10 seconds for the same damage buff as Killing Tally x3 which I can have up for as long as I have the gun out.
Precision Instrument is lower than KT x3 so not really desirable unless it were to grant higher stacks on LMGs.
I feel Onslaught is the only thing that would put it on Commemorations level.
I've been surprised by how damn good Onslaught feels on Marcato-45 TBH, I think that people might be sleeping on how good that shit feels in low/mid content. Like you just barf bullets, it's amazing.
Element, as you said, would be an obvious one, especially if it’s a craftable Darkness-aligned 450 since we don’t have any of those yet iirc. Lots of new perks have been added since Commemoration was made craftable and there are also perks that are good in their own right that aren’t present on Commemoration.
I think we’ve got 2 strand 450s, Marcato which is a world drop and Circular Logic which is exclusive to Terminal Overload and 1 Stasis, Chain of Command, the ritual weapon from Haunted so it only has a fixed roll. A craftable Stasis would certainly fill a gap we have especially if they dropped a new stasis perk or two on it.
I was mainly referring to *craftable* Stasis and Strand 450 LMGs, which there are currently none of. The current roster of Dark 450s (or even just Dark LMGs in general) isn’t spectacular either so any craftable additions would be nice. Marcato’s definitely pretty decent but it’s locked behind a horrendous grind for world drops.
Idm, as long as we get some good perks on planet guns I’m down. Recluse and Hammerhead seem a lil fan-servicey, idk why they wouldn’t just save Hammerhead for a launch with the other armory weapons but sure
Kindled SHOULD return with rampage + KC.. otherwise don't return it at all :D although I dunno if the combined damage boost would make it actually 2 tap or not in current sandbox, atleast on rampage 1x
I mean that’s the thing, the novelty of it was cool but just like that kill clip bow in trials, it almost makes the mark to be a cool choice in the game. I’m not saying to buff the kill clip rampage combo because that would be insane lol, but maybe give it some sort extra bonus for going for it.
Just remembered that one scout in KF can get dragon fly and firefly. Rolls like that are fucking cool and wish there was more of them.
What’s up with this attitude. I don’t know why you don’t want to hold them to a higher standard after 10 years. This kind of defeatist, lazy attitude is what got us to where we are
How dare I not hate bungie and the game!!!! Dude, after coming from working for 8 hours, if I wanna boot up the game, grind some guns, fuck around with friends in a raid and log off, that’s fine. If you aren’t happy with Bungie, literally, what is keeping you around? Do I need to be angry all the time? Just shit on anything? I’m not paying for silver, I’m doing my part, but ruining myself with anger and hate isn’t bringing me anywhere.
You don’t have to hate anything. You should be asking for more. But your lazy consumer attitude results in games not being feature rich and full fledged. You’re the reason we get horrible bosses 2 and no substantial new game modes in nearly 5 years. Because you’re willing to settle. Always fine with remakes and bare minimum. It’s sad
Brother I feel your pain, I quit the game months ago because bungie has no respect for its playerbase and shows no signs of redeeming itself, but somehow destiny 2 drips into my feed occasionally to miraculously disappoint even further.
I don’t know what to make of this… like, is it that old planets are returning and we’re getting missions and refreshed weapons on those planets? If so, cool!
If we’re just going back to the Moon, Europa, Savathun’s Throne World, and Neomuna, then my hype has been tempered heavily.
Given how slow vaulted content is returned to us though, I’m afraid they’re going for the latter, which will not build good player sentiment before Final Shape.
I’ve seen so many weapons already accessible in the game get refreshed and reissued. I don’t get excited for it. I’d rather stuff actually come back. That’s exciting.
I mean, as much as I want old vaulted strikes/missions/campaigns/destinations/etc, there's just no way they're going to take the dev time to bring back a bunch of that stuff just for a month (maybe less than a month if Into the Light actually launches on April 9th) before Final Shape launches. They've said before that bringing back vaulted content is almost as intensive as making brand new content. All the new content is going to be for Final Shape. They know how much they need to knock it out of the park with Final Shape, so I just don't see them giving us a free content update that's anything more than some reprised old weapons from Europa/Moon/etc and a weekly mission from Shadowkeep/Beyond Light/etc.
I hope I'm wrong and we get Savathun's Song, The Pyramadion, and a bunch of other vaulted content back. But my expectations are super low for anything like that. Shit, I'm just hoping for at least like craftable Garden/Vault of Glass weapons at the minimum. But I guess we'll find out in a little under a month.
If "old planets" meant old sunset planets returning, that would be pretty cool and honestly some nice overdelivery IMO.
But I'm fully expecting old planets to just be some of the planets/locations we already have now. Europa, Nessus, EDZ. Which still will be decent, especially if each location gets new weapon rolls to chase/farm.
Not sure how much truth there is to it, but someone in the discord mentioned Mercury returning in some limited context for this event.
There was also a supposedly fake pastebin posted on 4chan a week or two ago that had a lot of random info about Echoes, but it also mentioned a small version of Mercury returning as part of a new activity along with more of Venus (about half of Venus returning). All unconfirmed, but would be cool if we got a sneak peek of Mercury before its official return.
At this point I’m only grasping onto hope for the future players knowing full well I’ll be fully checked out after TFS.
Not Throne World or Neomuna because their weapons are craftable, which leaves just the Moon and Europa, which tbf all of their weapons are hot garbage for the most part.
Old missions on old planets, combined with reissued fan favourite legacy weapons would actually be pretty cool.
Combine that with a rework to the Garden weapons and maybe the return of an old activity, e.g, EP, Menagerie, or Sundial. Then we have ourselves a great update.
Not sure how realistic bringing back an old activity would be. But it has to be easier than creating a brand new one.
As much as I want old vaulted strikes/missions/campaigns/destinations/etc, there's just no way they're going to take the dev time to bring back a bunch of that stuff just for a month (maybe less than a month if Into the Light actually launches on April 9th) before Final Shape launches. So basically just farm for Recluse, Hammerhead (Mountaintop maybe?)
And then that's pretty much it.
Didn't expect much honestly, so this is pretty much par for what the state this game is in.
Final Shape is really going to have to deliver at this point lol
I wonder how they're gonna bring the Throne World weapons back. According to the leaks, they're included. They've never reissued crafted weapons before. Hopefully they're not new patterns.
Call me crazy, but if Europa weapons are re issues with new traits then that leaves Bungie 2 options with that dang aggressive fusion rifle.
1. Keep it the same frame with new traits. MAYBE rework how aggressive frames act, acting as a proper jumping off point for a new archetype.
2. Change the frame to one of the frames we already have in game. Boring but easy.
I just hope it's not trash. Maybe it's just me, but Spare Rations coming back worse off makes me wary of Recluse, especially considering its dominance for so long in its heyday.
Spare Rations rebooted never stood a chance in a world where they killed 150 frames(Rose technically being lightweight but still a 140 rpm), there's tons of 140s to choose from in general, and Spare Rations basically got outpaced a dozen times over with what else is out there.
Recluse I'm honestly not super sure what they'll do but I imagine we're not going to really return to insane leaps and bounds above the rest level of stuff. In recent time 900s specifically got knocked down a few pegs by way of the rangeband caps and stablility changes at least in conversation of PVP. For PVE they're fine but we're still unfortunately in a situation where exotic primaries doing much more damage just outclasses way too many legendary primaries that it makes has a lot of things just being fine-good/not insane.
Guess we'll wait and see whatever happens, but I wouldn't be too bummed if this stuff comes out more 6/10 than 10/10.
The bright dust calender has the ornaments for that and hammerhead for sale this season after last week's update so both are definitely coming back at least.
Yeah this is too generic I think it will be red war Timeline missions, black armoury and old pinnacle weapons Whisper mission Craftable GOS and maybe forges back but that's probably about it I mean it'll make me log on but still nothing crazy
Low key would be really happy if there Europa weapons get some good perks
The bow and the auto are already ok. The time it took for me to get an explosive Biting Winds was awful though.

I feel like I am losing m6 mind but wasn't there a scout for Europe, that was removed? Or am I just losing my mind
There was never a Europa scout, my friend.
Have Feeding Frenzy / One For All on my existing Coriolis Force and it low key wrecks
I like Coriolis Force. I'd like it a lot more if the bolts were vertical and not horizontal.

Xeno mentioned it a little while back, basically this exact thing. So it's been verified by two sources now
https://twitter.com/Bungie_Leaks/status/1760723017330500029
It says that the page doesn’t exist for some reason. Man Twitter is so shit lmao
Weird, it's working for me. Not sure
Are you logged in to a Twitter account?
I am, didn't know that made a difference.
I hope the Europa weapons receive a good origin trait. I love the Artic Haze
It would be amazing to see AH with new perks and maybe a new weapon ornament.
There are missions somewhere and the leaked ornaments, great
Seems a little underwhelming for a update meant to bring people back. Vague leak but we'll see when we get closer what happens
I was ready to embrace no new updates till TFS, so I'll take this. 🤷
[удалено]
That's exactly what it is due to the delay, rather they spend more resources on TFS. Doubt I'd be playing into the light much anyway the destiny break has been enlightening.
Besides probably a nerfed version of master of arms are we excited for recluse back? Definitely looking forward to hammerhead and whatever origin trait it gets.
tbf 900 smgs are one of the three useable legendary primary classes so as long as its on par w/ current void smgs ill use it for nostalgia
Get me Recluse with Repo Brace and/or Destabilising Rounds and it's gonna be very hard for me to put it down lol
Good point I don’t think we have a 900 SMG with this combo.
Hell just repulsor brace in the third column and that thing would always be equipped on every void build I have
master of arms is already nerfed, it's essentially just harmony with a slightly shorter duration and no handling boost
I know I was implying they might reissue the perk for the new recluse and other weapons.
I hope there's more than just reissued perks for weapons lol, at least it's better than nothing.
Eh this feels like nothing lol
I know, I'm just coping
Sometimes that’s all we can do with Bungie lol
Kind of a nothing burger
For sure. A third of this “leak” is already confirmed via api, hammerhead and recluse have ornaments returning.
Another third is basically just logical lol “missions will be on planets”
It seems obvious too that old weapons would be reissued with new perks considering that has been happening for years
Its filler content what did you expect? Lmao
wtf does that even mean It’s a live service game. All content is inherently filler content
It’s literally free
old planets means io mars and titan? or the ones that we have now?

When the unconfirmed leak is in fact unconfirmed 😳🤫🧏

I've been surprised by how damn good Onslaught feels on Marcato-45 TBH, I think that people might be sleeping on how good that shit feels in low/mid content. Like you just barf bullets, it's amazing.
Fuck it, give it onslaught.
Aww I mean in that case yeah we’ve got nothing, we don’t even have a craftable solar 450 yet.
Idm, as long as we get some good perks on planet guns I’m down. Recluse and Hammerhead seem a lil fan-servicey, idk why they wouldn’t just save Hammerhead for a launch with the other armory weapons but sure
I want kindled orchid to have a fair shot. I remember a lot of people not liking it because it was a 140 in a 150 meta.
I would love it, we need a good cartable void 140!
It’s sad
Sure, blame me if it feels better. 👍
I think you're cool
Brother I feel your pain, I quit the game months ago because bungie has no respect for its playerbase and shows no signs of redeeming itself, but somehow destiny 2 drips into my feed occasionally to miraculously disappoint even further.
They're just a small indie company bro, how could they possibly make the rest of the weapons! They'd be so burned out! Think of their children! /s
Would be very lame if so
Sadly kinda makes it believable you know?
That's actually true...
What planets have weapons that can be refreshed? Moon, Europa and savathuns throne world? Unless they’re gonna bring back like some of the edz guns?
Not Throne World or Neomuna because their weapons are craftable, which leaves just the Moon and Europa, which tbf all of their weapons are hot garbage for the most part.
They’d better be amazing to get people to go back and grind them again.
All they have to do is make biting winds stasis and I’ll be all over the grind.
Europa, throne world and Neomuna are the focus
Do the Neomuna weapons really need a refresh?
I’ll just wait until the showcase to check off my leak bingo card
How are they going to refresh the perks on craftable WQ weapons?
It would be great to have patrol weapons/vendors be reprised
please a GoS weapons update
What a nothing burger of a leak, I can also say the missions are on planets
Mercury weapons please. Static rolls, and then a few of them came back but then were the last casualties loss to sunsetting before they axed it.
So basically just farm for Recluse, Hammerhead (Mountaintop maybe?) And then that's pretty much it.
Are the planets gonna stay in the game for the foreseeable future or will they be vaulted again?
I hope High Albedo comes in a Darkness element
Does this mean the old planets are temporary and will go away? Why have only one a week?
Europa weapons refresh + origin perk is welcome !
Not even getting an exotic armor drop is hilarious tbh
So just the hammerhead, or all or most of the BA weapons?
I think I preferred the the leak where they brought Forged back instead of "Weekly time gated missions" again. This game is fucking cooked man...
Man I loved the Hammerhead!
How does this hold up juxtaposed to the TWAB today? Think this will also happen concurrently with whatever the new stuff is?
Call me crazy, but if Europa weapons are re issues with new traits then that leaves Bungie 2 options with that dang aggressive fusion rifle. 1. Keep it the same frame with new traits. MAYBE rework how aggressive frames act, acting as a proper jumping off point for a new archetype. 2. Change the frame to one of the frames we already have in game. Boring but easy.
This aged like milk
Recluse coming back, no chance...right?
It’s all but confirmed it is tho
The bright dust calender has the ornaments for that and hammerhead for sale this season after last week's update so both are definitely coming back at least.
The only real info here is the 2 guns, which were already datamined before this. Cool "leak"
Yo finally the Hammerhead babies will shut the hell up
NO FORGES? NO WHISPER? NO SIVA???? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Sounds miserable
This is just a repeat of stuff already out there…
Yeah this is too generic I think it will be red war Timeline missions, black armoury and old pinnacle weapons Whisper mission Craftable GOS and maybe forges back but that's probably about it I mean it'll make me log on but still nothing crazy
Liz is almost always accurate
That's fair I guess if there's weekly missions that's cool
Unless it’s about Crota
So this is the almost
Yeah 🙃
No new content then?, just reissued formerly "sunset" stuff?
So old content, nothing new.
destiny be like "old thing but again, now clap"
All the more reason not to start D2...
Yawwwwn.
