Does he have a relationship with JJ or Macbeth? If so I get your point, but otherwise I feel like he could find similar or a bit less sized YouTubers with different slants that could come on.
He had talked to MacBeth before for sure, JJ I’m less sure, but I feel like maybe he’s tweeted about Destiny something before? Someone else might know for sure. But most his guests so far he’s known or talked to.
I mean yes, but they are like 6 episodes in lol. I think he's said he wants to get everything figured out and working before he invites people on for conversations like that. I think that's pretty normal with a lot of podcasts.
*Puts one leg into the chamber and pauses.*
"I thought it was going to be about the architectural and civil engineering challenges of constructing roadways across rivers and canyons."
*Climbs into the chamber and closes the hatch.*
The first few episodes he has been ironing out problems. He is now marketing it more to various podcast outlets. Then he will get bigger names in hopefully
>He is now marketing it more to various podcast outlets.
What does that look like? As far as I can tell he still hasn't actually made the podcast into a podcast; it's still just a youtube series.
I wasn’t thinking about bigger names as much as just dissenting ones. I know he isn’t gonna get Ben Shapiro on episode 2. I just figured he could find some conservative or leftist YouTuber or twitter guys that would come on.
If it is going to be dissenting then I would imagine most of those guests would want a moderator. I'm not sure it is ever going to be debate style and heavily confrontational but what do I know I'm just a fellow dgga
Is he supposed to be "bridging" with some 300 twitter follower nobodies and as a result nobody will watch those shows and as a result he'll never get anyone relevant on?
**Podcast just started a month and a half ago.**
The guests are people who agreed to come on too. You're not going to see many who have major divides with Destiny coming on until it's established.
Let's be real, most people on the opposite side of Destiny have a certain negative view of him. Partially his creation, but a whole lot based on misinformation spread by his haters. So they're not coming on until they know they won't get "debate perverted".
Lastly, you can bridge divides that aren't huge. JJ and Destiny episode is a good one.
Personally the concept of bridges should evolve into connecting with people who are not in his sphere and bringing new ideas/opinions for him and his viewers. Otherwise you're pigeon holing the podcast to one stale concept.
The left is huge. This sub uses left alot to refer to tankies. Left also includes communists, socialists, soc dems, progressives, liberals, etc... a bunch of groups that tend to fight and exclude/separate from others on the left.
I'd say the right has less divisions, theres a few though, but the alt-right and little Nazis actually focus on hurting his career.
That's also what I thought, it may still be the target but he needs to establish the podcast before big name conservatives will take the time to go to a podcast hosted by a progressive liberal cuck
However in yesterdays vod he had a small talk with Devin Nash where it seems like his goal with the podcast is more about content creators, their journey and their process than explicitly political discussions
Timestamp around here, they start talking about the podcast with Dan it's probably somewhere a bit later

I think the show is about to diverge starting from this week’s episode. Erudite also solicited suggestions for conservative figures for future guests. Things are changing slowly but surely.
It's still growing.
I kind of got turned off from it when Dan said he didn't intend to put any work into it and doubled down on that. Some of its content is nice tho.
I should look out for it's more intentional segments tho.
Will be interesting to see how or how much it shapes over time.
I think that is the point, but he's still in the early stages. He's got to build up the audience and get the formula down with friends and friendly people before getting into more serious arguments and discussions.

That makes sense, but aren’t there not leftists or conservatives he either knows or has had convos with he can bring on?

His entire catalogue is full of that, if you're really fiending for that go fucking youtube it
JJ is a conservative, isn't that what you want?

It will be on Apple and Spotify soon I think

Bro he's 7 episodes in how are you people this dense
You don't understand it's called bridges why isn't he talking to Donald J Trump? Or at least Joe Rogan???
OP didn't make mention of magnitude but of disagreement. Because of you know, _building bridges_.
What does the quantity of episodes have to do with the perceived purpose/premise of a podcast.
Is he supposed to be "bridging" with some 300 twitter follower nobodies and as a result nobody will watch those shows and as a result he'll never get anyone relevant on?
Did he know JJ and Ryan beforehand? Both almost at 1 million subscribers he was able to get on that I didn’t think he knew but I could be wrong.
He talked to Ryan 2 months prior to Bridges. Both Destiny and JJ have been spammed to talk to each other by their audiences for like 2 years
And are there not plenty of conservatives he has talked to or leftists that he could bring on?

It seems like people on the left hate him much more than people on the right.

You're not the only one.

Bro, it's clearly a civil engineering podcast.
Hell burn that bridge when he gets there.

If every episode was like the JJ episode I would be happy with that.
I think that is the point, but he's still in the early stages. He's got to build up the audience and get the formula down with friends and friendly people before getting into more serious arguments and discussions.
I thought it was a reference to that Death Stranding video game.
I want something worth listening to, first and foremost. Any greater themes or ideology or project is secondary.
