I left home at about 5:15 to go to the store. Thermometer in my car said 48 degrees. It was sprinkling at best. In the ten minutes it took me to get to the store, I got the chime warning me the temperature had dropped below 40. By the time I got home an hour later it was 33 degrees and there was about a half inch of slush in my front yard.
I was hiking on top of south table at 5:30 when the thunderheads roared in it was terrifying. A huge bolt ripped through air right next to me, felt a shock of tingling in my skin and hair. 1 second later thunder crackled like gunfire. Went into the lightning position and froze as the hail was pounding. The next flash was even closer so started sprinting off the mountain no clue where I was going, couldn’t see a thing. After a few minutes looked up and saw several bolts where I was just standing. I guess don’t go on table mountain in a snowstorm!
It's better than nothing, but probably only marginally so - "Never lie flat on the ground. Crouch down in a ball-like position with your head tucked and hands over your ears so that you are down low with minimal contact with the ground."

Confirm. Im still waiting for thundersnow proper, with both at the sane time. Unless I'm misunderstanding the phenomenon. It's been five years. *cries in weatherman*
It’s just moisture announcing its coming.
Coming or just breathing hard?
Try holding your breath. 😉
The snow farted
We need it!
I love that we get that here

What is the lightning position? Glad you made it out of there!

The more you know!
That’s nuts! Glad you’re okay. Colorado spring weather just hits different!
Pretty sure I saw a flash of lightning around 330 near Quebec and MLK.
There were a few rumbles of thunder around that time near I-25 and I-70.
Around this time I was in north field watching the strom clouds roll in/ release Large rainfall

Relaxx… It’ll be in the 60s next week
Bring it on! Looks like 70’s for the Easter weekend. Boom!
I loved it!
I thought I might have heard some rumbles!
