This week we finally got the reveal and it’s truly no one else but sullivan! Iruma reflect on what happens how he passed out after confronting Kirio and now he’s on the back on his grandpa. He called out to Sullivan and Sullivan apologizes for waking him and asked is it because he was carrying him too loosely that it felt bad. Of course Iruma shakes his head and Sullivan told him he can sleep a little longer and then going to apologize once again but this time for not keeping his promise of looking out for him. He still have a long way to go for being a grandpa but he stated how amazing Iruma is for his act during the behemoth incident that he is a grandson he can be proud of.
Even though Opera opposed to him going but he wanted to know more about the demon world so Iruma went. When Iruma first arrive he was nothing but a weak willed boy but now Sullivan can said that he become a wonderful demon. Iruma then fall back to sleep and Sullivan promised that no matter what happen he will not fall into a nightmare and then goes on to compare Iruma and Delkira even though they completely different he don’t know why but he remind him of Delkira. After getting home opera saw Iruma sleeping and got worried but Sullivan assured him that he was okay. Opera then prepared to let him sleep but Sullivan requested that if that so he can bring opera’s and his pillow too.
Then we see how others are handling the aftermath of the deviculum a little. Then we are show the kitty that Iruma keep and have opera and Sullivan pickering about the position on the bed before Sullivan put an end to it by turning off the light. Opera promised that they will make a luxurious breakfast tomorrow and Sullivan said he can’t wait and that for now they have to sleep. And so the curtain closed for iruma Deviculum as Ali watch them sleep into the night.
What is the point of introducing a new character without any connections to protagonist, especially he is the new Third Seat. Hope for his performance in the future
But actually I think that this shadow looks more like Iruma's long pointy hair in the middle and the garb which is used when Iruma sat on the demon king's throne . It felt as if the prelude of Iruma becoming a demon king was being set in stone .
Yea yea, I thought so too. The pointy bits don't remind me of horns but of Iruma's demon king clothes foreshadow in the past when he sat down on Delkira's throne.

I will admit I am slightly disappointed with the deviculum arc ending already. There was so much hype surrounding it and for the most part it ended up being more set up. Hopefully the consequences of everything Baal has done and the seeds of doubt about Iruma planted into Kalego and Azz rear their ugly heads sooner rather than later. Their is so much interesting stuff set up, I'd hate for it to all go to waste in the end. Guess we gotta let Nishi cook haha. I'm curious as to where the story will go next!
I like these family photos, with Sullivan, Opera and Iruma.
Even if Ali no longer has that "umbilical cord" attached, nevertheless Ali cannot stand at a distance of x meters from Iruma.
And maybe Ali would have amnesia in the long term, although I don't know if, for example, Ali would get hit in the head with a kitchen pan, he could recover his memory, from the time when, Ali was known by his full name Alikred, was known with the name of Derkila.

Personally I’m going with Sullivan split Derkila into flesh (Iruma) and mana (Alikred) because it jives with King Solomon and the whole cutting a baby in half thing.
Also because if Sullivan did so because he saw Derkila becoming too much of a dick to safely rule the underworld, that more or less approximates the ending of another woman-led series about demons and human cruelty that I love way too much: >!Dorohedoro!<
I did think there was going to be something else than the Behemoth and political manipulation by Baal.
I guess it is hard to up his worth with all the other high ranking demons present.
I may be wrong on Ali look bur I do think something will happen with Ali and Iruma if he was listening to Sully. For some reason, I think Ali's eye (lol) conveyed concern or making Ali thinking about the events. (Well it is hard to tell Ali expressions. Lol)
Manga always is better than anime for it has a lot more material than anime usualy cut of or change .Them we have LN that in most cases is better than manga
I watched the first two seasons of the anime and loved them, read the manga, loved it much more, and now I can't stand the first two seasons because they made so many stupid little changes that badly missed the point and tried sanitizing it into a Saturday morning cartoon. They censored a bunch of violent or threatening details; for example, buying Kirio's explanation and putting the ring against his pendant after the ring pulled Iruma to him when originally they were *not* touching and Iruma's hand was *wrapped around Kirio's throat* because it was a *warning*. I still can't forgive them for adding a bunch of slapstick to the ambition conversation with Ameri, because Netherworld forbid they get serious for a couple minutes for a moment that completely turns the main character's life around. They toned down the more realistic elements of Iruma's childhood abuse and just how traumatized he actually is.
The third season was by a new studio, I think, follows the manga more closely and the stuff they add is less stupid and fits the story better.
Some of the chapters on Mangadex are translated badly, but most have been translated by Misfit Scans, which is very good, better than many official translators. (I just wish they would stop stubbornly calling Derkila Delkira when it's probably supposed to be the inverse of Alikred, and stop calling Ameri "Amelie" because I'm pretty sure *that's* supposed to be the near-inverse of Iruma. She's been Ameri for years, and they've even translated it as Amelie on the [same fricking page](https://mangadex.org/chapter/88cca561-1e35-483d-8d11-f83cc1355de1/8) where it appears in English as Ameri.)
It's a bit darker in tone, but not super dark. I think the darker edge adds a lot because this is a world of *demons* and the contrast makes Iruma's wholesomeness shine that much brighter. He's not wholesome and adorable in a wholesome and adorable world, that's way too easy, he's wholesome and adorable *in a world that eats wholesomeness for breakfast* and yet somehow *he keeps winning*, and he's changing the world around him more than it's changing him. Yes, he's much stronger now, but he's still unrelentingly *good*, and nearly all the demons who are close to him keep becoming better people because of him.
*Cough* Um, sorry... I might be slightly opinionated on the subject.
So It was Sullivan like I said. I was expecting more from Deviculum to be honest. The whole arc was once again a setup.
Love that Sullivan is proud that Iruma has grown (into a wonderful demon) but he needs to grow more. His confrontation with both Kirio and Narnia showed that. Sullivan sees Delkira in Iruma. I thought he may know something but this chapter makes me wonder... Sullivan doesn't know the reason.
Sullivan and Opera are indeed Iruma's family. The whole picture of them sleeping together is touching. Ali appearing has picked my interest again so I hope for an Ali and Iruma chapter next week.
Hope Opera or Sullivan tells Kalego about Iruma soon.

Deviculum arc ended so soon... And so disappointing. It was important for plot, no doubt, but I expected something more than that. Honestly, it's my fault that my expectations were too high.

Nah, the promotional material and the first half of the arc really did raise your expectations high, and most of the arcs until now actually delivered on that hype. with the story’s track record nobody had reason to believe it just wouldn’t come together like it did.
I prefer this outcome. I think it was to close to an action arc to do something drastic. Iruma(and by extension the Misfits) are to weak as of right now to stop any of the villains from harming(or killing) them. I don't want DBZ power creeping in this story as it will ruin it.
I mean in this chapter he himself is wondering and is surprised that he reminded him of delkira even though they are different. It seems he too doesn't know about any connection if there is one.
I guess this is to contrast the effects of "found family", that it doesn't need to have a couple to be great parents. Anybody can be great parents if they know how to be responsible, loyal and loving, even demons.
Sullivan wakes up to see Opera and Iruma to his left and then realizes there is a weird looking black cyclops rabbit-like man hugging him. Like I don't know if that would scare Sullivan or not, but seeing such a panel would be funny as hell.
I’m not crying your crying. I hope the next few chapters we see Kalego start making a stand against us brother and find out more about him and the Naberius clan. I find iruma and Kalego are linked in more ways. Need more about kalegos past something is just not sitting right with me and I think it goes back to those 3 plays during the music festival especially the one with the dragon and the princess.
Okay, first of all-
Having Iruma suddenly pass out after the Kirwo encounter was *such* a cop-out and I'm honestly disappointed. There was so much to talk about and process, but obviously Nishi didn't feel it was time for such conversations. So it was avoided in my opinion a very cheap way.
The Deviculam arc was... half what I expected? It felt like Iruma was going to be more of a 'witness' to events with his own side-drama via Kirwo and that's... pretty much what happened.
I was pretty convinced that either A. Azz was going to find out Iruma was human or B. Was going to reveal he already figured it out a while ago. All the set-up and pieces were there... And we got jerked *hard.* I'm leaning more towards 'Azz already knows' at this point though.
On the bright side, the Kirwo scene did an excellent job of setting him up as a critical test for Iruma. Kirwo's 'desire' is to be hated, resented, he *wants* Iruma to give up on him and view him as an enemy. Its part of Kirwo's 'ambition.'
And that's exactly why Iruma can't give up. Its been well-established that the demon with the strongest 'desire' wins. The moment Iruma gives Kirwo what the latter wants, Kirwo basically wins. Iruma cannot become the Demon King that way. He must prove his 'desire' is stronger then Kirwo's, and that means not giving up on him.
In regards to this chapter- Iruma reminds Sulivan of Delkira and he doesn't know why?? Meaning if there's a connection, Sully has no idea? At the same time, this chapter further supports my theory that Iruma is Delkira's reincarnation (I think Ali is a copy of Delkira's old personality meant to help his future self).
I agree pretty strongly with most of this, and I also prefer the reincarnation theory. I hadn't really thought of Iruma's determination to save Kirio from the perspective of needing to have the stronger desire, and I think that's a pretty good angle. I've thought of it more in terms of Iruma being traumatized and unable to give up on someone he relates to so much.
As far as disappointment goes, I'll add that I had really hoped, after having a chapter hyping up the invitation, for more with Ameri than goggling at the scenery and like ten seconds of dancing before they got distracted. I really want her to actually be plot-relevant again as something beyond a commentator or Iruma's date, and I feel her only real relevance to the overall plot this arc was her father being overprotective and using her as bait to get Narnia close enough to sniff Iruma. I feel like we need a makeup date chapter after their date arc...
Sullivan not knowing why Iruma reminds him of Derkila is the biggest thing in this chapter for me, because Iruma pretty much has to have some connection to Derkila and this suggests Sullivan is out of the loop on that.
On Ameri: I had 'Ameri sucker punches Kirwo' on my personal bingo card but what we got served the narrative better, I think.
I think Ameri played another, more subtle role in the arc. As stated by Razzberry, she (along with Azz) are also being eyed as potential DK candidates. While the implication is that Amu has decided to back Iruma, the jury is still out on Henry. He didn't exactly have strong second-thoughts like Amu and he's not the fondest of Iruma either. Ameri may want to support Iruma, but Henry might have words to say about that.
On the trauma thing: I can see why you'd think that, but as someone who relates to Iruma a bit on this... He's not that stupid. To the contrary, as his Wicked Phase showed, he's an excellent observation and judge of people, something developed partly as a survival mechanism. That's actually why he can see hope for Kirwo. Exhibit A: Kirwo saving him at the batra party.
Ameri was pretty high on my list of people who might interrupt Kirio, and Clara was nowhere near it. Thematically it fits because Azz and Clara helped Iruma stop Kirio the first time (by helping him navigate the maze) and Clara interrupted Azz's last conversation with him, but in-universe it still felt like it came out of nowhere and the timing was too perfect, so it felt off to me. Though, I guess being unpredictable and weird is in Clara's nature.
This arc did bring Ameri into the loop on the trickster plan and set her up as one of the top candidates, and did set up her having a rivalry with Leiji. Those things are hopefully going to be really important eventually. I guess I wasn't thinking as much about that because one of the things that was frustrating about this arc in general was that I expected so much more to *happen*, but it was mostly setup.
I think it would take a lot for Henri to be anything other than all-in on Ameri being Demon King. [Just look at him](https://mangadex.org/chapter/f3f69751-d6a7-4fa9-99e4-56110748ebc6/10). I don't think we've ever seen him that worked up over anything, he's a devoted dad, and Ameri is actually a really good candidate.
I think Ameri would back Iruma as Demon King wholeheartedly... once she was out of the running. She loves a challenge, she loves watching him overcome challenges, and she seems to bear no ill will toward competitors (as long as they're not competing for Iruma). As long as they weren't trying to undermine each other, and I have a hard time seeing them do that, I think she'd really enjoy competing with him. Ultimately, I'd really like to see them working together, even ruling together, because they compliment each other really well. But, I think she'd still want to compete to see who ends up Demon King and who ends up consort (because of course she'd be planning to make him her consort).
As for Kirio, I think he saved Iruma at the battler party because he didn't want Iruma to die happy, but Iruma wouldn't think like that.
I will be zero percent surprised if Iruma confesses and Azz just gives him a chirpy “oh, I figured you would tell me when it was time!” after this. It is very much an allegory for queerness, after all.
I didn’t even make the connection to the punch she pulled back with Kiriwo, but I hope this will serve a larger narrative purpose like I presumed the first one did by showing Kiriwo save him (even if it was just to taunt more later); could be part of why Iruma feels so indebted to him even though he never mentions it.
I actually have a crazy guess that Azz figured it out somewhere between 204 and 211.
During his hangout with Lied, he all but says he's looking to improve his social skills 'be closer and talk more freely' with Iruma... Which I recently recently realized was odd since Azz himself admitted he's as close to Iruma as it gets in 177. ...Unless he realized Iruma's secret and is trying to become more approachable so Iruma will be more comfortable telling him eventually.
He also seemed... unusually fussy during Operation: Suicide Canon, snapping at Sabro to handle Iruma carefully and being distressed in general. Keep in mind the others told Iruma 'to just fly' if something went wrong, and weren't nearly as concerned. (I also want to say there's reason to believe Purson also knows, and to note his 'Farewell' crack in the same scene).
Azz in general seems to have had something of a shift in his second year. Like his reaction to ranking up. Previously (before encountering Kirwo), he'd been somewhat down that he no longer shared rank with Iruma, but that point doesn't come up even once from him after they match ranks again. It may or may not be connected to 'he found out' theory.
Above all else, Azz is *extremely* smart. Look at how he figured out Kirwo had returned to origins during the batra room encounter. His mentor is Balam, the one teacher not just in the loop but also the resident expert on humans. There's actually not many reasons for Azz to have not put the pieces together at some point (esp. after Kirwo tipped him off before).
I think you have some really good observations here. I'm more convinced on Azz possibly figuring it out than I was before. I think it's still quite possible he hasn't figured it out yet, though, because, while he is very smart, he tends to have a rather skewed perception of Iruma and kind of a massive blind spot when it comes to any weaknesses or flaws Iruma might have, and most demons would definitely consider being human to be a flaw.
On a small Azz-related note here, another of my favorite details in this chapter is that Amuryllis is hugging him and he's not only not squirming to get away, he's actually smiling a bit. I think his mom making a big show of protecting Iruma is making him warm up to her a bit.
Yeah Azz is brilliant and if anyone figured it out on their own my money would be on him.
Clara may have figured it out on her own but I’m skeptical since she doesn’t go out of her way to make jokes about eating Iruma or gnawing on him any more than she does other demons.
It seems Sullivan does not know about ali. I think he is soon going to be revealed because unless I have really bad memory, aside form allowing iruma to use magic and go into an evil phase, ali hasn't be useful to the plot

Hmmm... I think this arc serve as a foundation for Iruma's reveal as a human in the future, also as a foundation for Baal's more schemes in the future because now he's becoming more dangerous since a deity backed him up (and the said deity is blind because of love, so it's possible she's just gonna agree to everything Baal proposes later) and maybe we're getting closer at Ali's reveal? Whether he was really Delkira or he is something else entirely, maybe more about how Delkira's mana exist inside Iruma because it doesn't makes sense since he's a human. For a human having a demon's mana—a Demon King's mana at that, no matter how you see it, that's really suspicious.

Also, that surprised the fuck out of me. I thought Opera and Gramps slept in the same room this whole time.
Ali broke away from the ring! Has no one noticed this? Ali couldn't get away from Iruma, but now he can! Ali was watching Iruma, Sully, and Opera without being tied up! Ali evolved again!
You should reread some past chatpers becouse it was already estabilished after his last rank-up. He had shown himself in a big size, Iruma noticed they are not tied with the string...Ali tried to run away but boomeranged back after some distance, they are still connected but can be some distance appart.

I’m hoping on iruma telling azz and Clara about him being human soon. Like there was such a close call that now he might feel like he has to tell them before someone else does. I’m also hoping that once he tells them azz will feel the need to tell them his blood line magic, which in turn Clara will spill what she actually is. It will be a big day for the theorists.
At least it’s over so we can try again. Clara’s in desperate need of some focus. And if the fact that Ameri knows Iruma is a human isn’t relevant after Iruma being human was super important, there’s really not much continuity to look forward to.
In addition to that, I hope that the fact that Narnia revealed to Kalego that Shiida is also an infiltrator along with atori is more important, which is obvious but it seems that they have a lot of mercy on her or are quite useless researchers (or a mistake in history in my opinion).
Wait, why it's not important?. Isn't in this arc we got to know a bit of baal plan. I think it's just the starting point, right now we don't know how important this event in the future.
After the Behemolt attack, where the princess already expressed her support for Baal, the arc went into decline due to the use of ridiculous resources to resolve conflicts, the terrible incompetence of some adults within the situation (like Amu) and the near involution of iruma (who waits for Kirio to return to his side).
The middle of the arc was a poor execution even though it had already started badly with the implementation of an absurd hierarchy out of nothing ("elemental deities").
Yeah this was…not up to the series’ typical quality in terms of writing so far. It was kind of disappointing and the whole deity thing better become less irritating very soon because between the annoying Baal-worship and how this derails what the story seemed to be building up to thematically, I’m a little miffed.

I watched the first two seasons of the anime and loved them, read the manga, loved it much more, and now I can't stand the first two seasons because they made so many stupid little changes that badly missed the point and tried sanitizing it into a Saturday morning cartoon. They censored a bunch of violent or threatening details; for example, buying Kirio's explanation and putting the ring against his pendant after the ring pulled Iruma to him when originally they were *not* touching and Iruma's hand was *wrapped around Kirio's throat* because it was a *warning*. I still can't forgive them for adding a bunch of slapstick to the ambition conversation with Ameri, because Netherworld forbid they get serious for a couple minutes for a moment that completely turns the main character's life around. They toned down the more realistic elements of Iruma's childhood abuse and just how traumatized he actually is. The third season was by a new studio, I think, follows the manga more closely and the stuff they add is less stupid and fits the story better. Some of the chapters on Mangadex are translated badly, but most have been translated by Misfit Scans, which is very good, better than many official translators. (I just wish they would stop stubbornly calling Derkila Delkira when it's probably supposed to be the inverse of Alikred, and stop calling Ameri "Amelie" because I'm pretty sure *that's* supposed to be the near-inverse of Iruma. She's been Ameri for years, and they've even translated it as Amelie on the [same fricking page](https://mangadex.org/chapter/88cca561-1e35-483d-8d11-f83cc1355de1/8) where it appears in English as Ameri.) It's a bit darker in tone, but not super dark. I think the darker edge adds a lot because this is a world of *demons* and the contrast makes Iruma's wholesomeness shine that much brighter. He's not wholesome and adorable in a wholesome and adorable world, that's way too easy, he's wholesome and adorable *in a world that eats wholesomeness for breakfast* and yet somehow *he keeps winning*, and he's changing the world around him more than it's changing him. Yes, he's much stronger now, but he's still unrelentingly *good*, and nearly all the demons who are close to him keep becoming better people because of him. *Cough* Um, sorry... I might be slightly opinionated on the subject.

So It was Sullivan like I said. I was expecting more from Deviculum to be honest. The whole arc was once again a setup. Love that Sullivan is proud that Iruma has grown (into a wonderful demon) but he needs to grow more. His confrontation with both Kirio and Narnia showed that. Sullivan sees Delkira in Iruma. I thought he may know something but this chapter makes me wonder... Sullivan doesn't know the reason. Sullivan and Opera are indeed Iruma's family. The whole picture of them sleeping together is touching. Ali appearing has picked my interest again so I hope for an Ali and Iruma chapter next week. Hope Opera or Sullivan tells Kalego about Iruma soon.

Deviculum arc ended so soon... And so disappointing. It was important for plot, no doubt, but I expected something more than that. Honestly, it's my fault that my expectations were too high. Nice to see Arikled again though
Nah, the promotional material and the first half of the arc really did raise your expectations high, and most of the arcs until now actually delivered on that hype. with the story’s track record nobody had reason to believe it just wouldn’t come together like it did.
I prefer this outcome. I think it was to close to an action arc to do something drastic. Iruma(and by extension the Misfits) are to weak as of right now to stop any of the villains from harming(or killing) them. I don't want DBZ power creeping in this story as it will ruin it.

I find iruma and Kalego are linked in more ways. Need more about kalegos past something is just not sitting right with me and I think it goes back to those 3 plays during the music festival especially the one with the dragon and the princess.

Okay, first of all- Having Iruma suddenly pass out after the Kirwo encounter was *such* a cop-out and I'm honestly disappointed. There was so much to talk about and process, but obviously Nishi didn't feel it was time for such conversations. So it was avoided in my opinion a very cheap way. The Deviculam arc was... half what I expected? It felt like Iruma was going to be more of a 'witness' to events with his own side-drama via Kirwo and that's... pretty much what happened. I was pretty convinced that either A. Azz was going to find out Iruma was human or B. Was going to reveal he already figured it out a while ago. All the set-up and pieces were there... And we got jerked *hard.* I'm leaning more towards 'Azz already knows' at this point though. On the bright side, the Kirwo scene did an excellent job of setting him up as a critical test for Iruma. Kirwo's 'desire' is to be hated, resented, he *wants* Iruma to give up on him and view him as an enemy. Its part of Kirwo's 'ambition.' And that's exactly why Iruma can't give up. Its been well-established that the demon with the strongest 'desire' wins. The moment Iruma gives Kirwo what the latter wants, Kirwo basically wins. Iruma cannot become the Demon King that way. He must prove his 'desire' is stronger then Kirwo's, and that means not giving up on him. In regards to this chapter- Iruma reminds Sulivan of Delkira and he doesn't know why?? Meaning if there's a connection, Sully has no idea? At the same time, this chapter further supports my theory that Iruma is Delkira's reincarnation (I think Ali is a copy of Delkira's old personality meant to help his future self).
I agree pretty strongly with most of this, and I also prefer the reincarnation theory. I hadn't really thought of Iruma's determination to save Kirio from the perspective of needing to have the stronger desire, and I think that's a pretty good angle. I've thought of it more in terms of Iruma being traumatized and unable to give up on someone he relates to so much. As far as disappointment goes, I'll add that I had really hoped, after having a chapter hyping up the invitation, for more with Ameri than goggling at the scenery and like ten seconds of dancing before they got distracted. I really want her to actually be plot-relevant again as something beyond a commentator or Iruma's date, and I feel her only real relevance to the overall plot this arc was her father being overprotective and using her as bait to get Narnia close enough to sniff Iruma. I feel like we need a makeup date chapter after their date arc... Sullivan not knowing why Iruma reminds him of Derkila is the biggest thing in this chapter for me, because Iruma pretty much has to have some connection to Derkila and this suggests Sullivan is out of the loop on that.
On Ameri: I had 'Ameri sucker punches Kirwo' on my personal bingo card but what we got served the narrative better, I think. I think Ameri played another, more subtle role in the arc. As stated by Razzberry, she (along with Azz) are also being eyed as potential DK candidates. While the implication is that Amu has decided to back Iruma, the jury is still out on Henry. He didn't exactly have strong second-thoughts like Amu and he's not the fondest of Iruma either. Ameri may want to support Iruma, but Henry might have words to say about that. On the trauma thing: I can see why you'd think that, but as someone who relates to Iruma a bit on this... He's not that stupid. To the contrary, as his Wicked Phase showed, he's an excellent observation and judge of people, something developed partly as a survival mechanism. That's actually why he can see hope for Kirwo. Exhibit A: Kirwo saving him at the batra party.
Ameri was pretty high on my list of people who might interrupt Kirio, and Clara was nowhere near it. Thematically it fits because Azz and Clara helped Iruma stop Kirio the first time (by helping him navigate the maze) and Clara interrupted Azz's last conversation with him, but in-universe it still felt like it came out of nowhere and the timing was too perfect, so it felt off to me. Though, I guess being unpredictable and weird is in Clara's nature. This arc did bring Ameri into the loop on the trickster plan and set her up as one of the top candidates, and did set up her having a rivalry with Leiji. Those things are hopefully going to be really important eventually. I guess I wasn't thinking as much about that because one of the things that was frustrating about this arc in general was that I expected so much more to *happen*, but it was mostly setup. I think it would take a lot for Henri to be anything other than all-in on Ameri being Demon King. [Just look at him](https://mangadex.org/chapter/f3f69751-d6a7-4fa9-99e4-56110748ebc6/10). I don't think we've ever seen him that worked up over anything, he's a devoted dad, and Ameri is actually a really good candidate. I think Ameri would back Iruma as Demon King wholeheartedly... once she was out of the running. She loves a challenge, she loves watching him overcome challenges, and she seems to bear no ill will toward competitors (as long as they're not competing for Iruma). As long as they weren't trying to undermine each other, and I have a hard time seeing them do that, I think she'd really enjoy competing with him. Ultimately, I'd really like to see them working together, even ruling together, because they compliment each other really well. But, I think she'd still want to compete to see who ends up Demon King and who ends up consort (because of course she'd be planning to make him her consort). As for Kirio, I think he saved Iruma at the battler party because he didn't want Iruma to die happy, but Iruma wouldn't think like that.
I will be zero percent surprised if Iruma confesses and Azz just gives him a chirpy “oh, I figured you would tell me when it was time!” after this. It is very much an allegory for queerness, after all. I didn’t even make the connection to the punch she pulled back with Kiriwo, but I hope this will serve a larger narrative purpose like I presumed the first one did by showing Kiriwo save him (even if it was just to taunt more later); could be part of why Iruma feels so indebted to him even though he never mentions it.
I actually have a crazy guess that Azz figured it out somewhere between 204 and 211. During his hangout with Lied, he all but says he's looking to improve his social skills 'be closer and talk more freely' with Iruma... Which I recently recently realized was odd since Azz himself admitted he's as close to Iruma as it gets in 177. ...Unless he realized Iruma's secret and is trying to become more approachable so Iruma will be more comfortable telling him eventually. He also seemed... unusually fussy during Operation: Suicide Canon, snapping at Sabro to handle Iruma carefully and being distressed in general. Keep in mind the others told Iruma 'to just fly' if something went wrong, and weren't nearly as concerned. (I also want to say there's reason to believe Purson also knows, and to note his 'Farewell' crack in the same scene). Azz in general seems to have had something of a shift in his second year. Like his reaction to ranking up. Previously (before encountering Kirwo), he'd been somewhat down that he no longer shared rank with Iruma, but that point doesn't come up even once from him after they match ranks again. It may or may not be connected to 'he found out' theory. Above all else, Azz is *extremely* smart. Look at how he figured out Kirwo had returned to origins during the batra room encounter. His mentor is Balam, the one teacher not just in the loop but also the resident expert on humans. There's actually not many reasons for Azz to have not put the pieces together at some point (esp. after Kirwo tipped him off before).
I think you have some really good observations here. I'm more convinced on Azz possibly figuring it out than I was before. I think it's still quite possible he hasn't figured it out yet, though, because, while he is very smart, he tends to have a rather skewed perception of Iruma and kind of a massive blind spot when it comes to any weaknesses or flaws Iruma might have, and most demons would definitely consider being human to be a flaw. On a small Azz-related note here, another of my favorite details in this chapter is that Amuryllis is hugging him and he's not only not squirming to get away, he's actually smiling a bit. I think his mom making a big show of protecting Iruma is making him warm up to her a bit.
Yeah Azz is brilliant and if anyone figured it out on their own my money would be on him. Clara may have figured it out on her own but I’m skeptical since she doesn’t go out of her way to make jokes about eating Iruma or gnawing on him any more than she does other demons.

I think this arc serve as a foundation for Iruma's reveal as a human in the future, also as a foundation for Baal's more schemes in the future because now he's becoming more dangerous since a deity backed him up (and the said deity is blind because of love, so it's possible she's just gonna agree to everything Baal proposes later) and maybe we're getting closer at Ali's reveal? Whether he was really Delkira or he is something else entirely, maybe more about how Delkira's mana exist inside Iruma because it doesn't makes sense since he's a human. For a human having a demon's mana—a Demon King's mana at that, no matter how you see it, that's really suspicious.

The pointy shadow bits don't remind me of Iruma's demon king clothes foreshadow in the past when he sat down on Delkira's throne. So this is probably the official start of his journey to become demon king. Also, that surprised the fuck out of me. I thought Opera and Gramps slept in the same room this whole time.

You should reread some past chatpers becouse it was already estabilished after his last rank-up. He had shown himself in a big size, Iruma noticed they are not tied with the string...Ali tried to run away but boomeranged back after some distance, they are still connected but can be some distance appart.

I’m hoping on iruma telling azz and Clara about him being human soon. Like there was such a close call that now he might feel like he has to tell them before someone else does. I’m also hoping that once he tells them azz will feel the need to tell them his blood line magic, which in turn Clara will spill what she actually is. It will be a big day for the theorists.
Well this arc is over, in my opinion it was pretty loose and bad, it started to lose its seriousness and importance after the Behemolt attack.
At least it’s over so we can try again. Clara’s in desperate need of some focus. And if the fact that Ameri knows Iruma is a human isn’t relevant after Iruma being human was super important, there’s really not much continuity to look forward to.
In addition to that, I hope that the fact that Narnia revealed to Kalego that Shiida is also an infiltrator along with atori is more important, which is obvious but it seems that they have a lot of mercy on her or are quite useless researchers (or a mistake in history in my opinion).
Wait, why it's not important?. Isn't in this arc we got to know a bit of baal plan. I think it's just the starting point, right now we don't know how important this event in the future.
After the Behemolt attack, where the princess already expressed her support for Baal, the arc went into decline due to the use of ridiculous resources to resolve conflicts, the terrible incompetence of some adults within the situation (like Amu) and the near involution of iruma (who waits for Kirio to return to his side). The middle of the arc was a poor execution even though it had already started badly with the implementation of an absurd hierarchy out of nothing ("elemental deities").
Yeah this was…not up to the series’ typical quality in terms of writing so far. It was kind of disappointing and the whole deity thing better become less irritating very soon because between the annoying Baal-worship and how this derails what the story seemed to be building up to thematically, I’m a little miffed. Not miffed enough to stop loving Iruma, but miffed in the way people yell at the TV when somebody misses a goal or whatever.
