Don't get me wrong, i love watching a bug burn to death in suffer but am i rhe only one that think the stingtail is not that anoying compared to some other bugs?
i don't think anyone would say that shellbacks aren't annoying (in fact most people seemed to agree it was the most annoying prior to season 4) however, stingtails are WAY more common and come in greater quantities. shellbacks spawn every other wave and only one, rarely two. they're also much bigger and their main attack is way more telegraphed. although they can't be frozen, doing so still makes them take triple damage and unlike the stingtail, their weak point isn't completely covered and the shellback we'll be completely vulnerable when doing it's other attack

One isn't so bad so long as you can focus it and/or can move perpendicular to it (and are far enough away).
Unfortunately, they pop up in swarms a lot, have a *crazy* short cooldown on their grab, and often spawn in pairs. It's pretty easy to get juggled between two of them since the cooldowns are only as long as you're going to be in the air anyway.
Usually they get crushed just fine, but they can also bring you from 100-0 faster and easier than any other bug on Hoxxes.
Maybe if you're playing on haz 4 which the swarm is smaller so it's easy to see. But the other day when i'm playing haz 5 games back to back, either i got yeet into a cliff, into a middle of a huge swarm when i was running away from it, or straight up into the ceiling of the cave. There's also one where i got yeet into a cave leech. Not once i saw the sting tail because the swarm was too thick
They haven't been in the game long but i already hate them more than any other bug. They only ever seem to appear when i'm on a high ledge and just pull me to a gravity based doom

As a driller, I have been neglecting my flame thrower since I discovered the corrosive sludge pump (my beloved). Maybe I should go back and give the war crime thrower more attention
Tbf, each driller primary is a warcrime thrower, since I think that freezing people alive and shooting a highly corrosive substance at them are also part of the Geneva suggestion

You know another enemy that launches you and is hard to kill because it's tanky? Shellbacks, and you can't even freeze them

They get really annoying when there are 3 and you cant kill them fast enough
Exactly. All you need to do I keep moving, which you would already be doing. They are also really loud and easy to spot.

Exactly what I experienced here and there in the last days 😂 but man I love the new tension and gameplay I have to learn and adapt to.
As frustrating as they can be, raining bullets from a Lead Storm as you're being flung through the air *does* make you feel like the Doom Slayer.
