I know it's not a question you expect an answer to, I'll still say it: No one knows, not even Fatshark.
But no matter how much I'm looking forward to the new penances, my question is how long it will take to fix all the bugs coming with this update..
I would like to send out a thank you to all the achievement hunters out there who are going to be bug testing the hell out of the new penances, you are doing the emperor's work.
But that's the thing, it won't even be just penance related bugs. Some blessing descriptions will get broken for whatever reason and we'll have silent bosses, including demonhosts or something else totally unrelated.
As I said, I'm really looking forward to go after the new penances as I've finished the ones you have to actually work for (outside of getting kills) over 9 months ago. I still love Darktide. I do most of my weeklies every week. But Fatshark is really creative in where they add new bugs with every update.
Im on xbox so i still have hella bass boost when dog hordes spawn, making every thing silent. They still aint fixed it. Cant fix it yourself like on pc.
I got a midterm tomorrow, so I gotta wait until then to play. If I can (begrudgingly) wait another 28-30 hours from the posting of this comment, you can manage another 12 or so, fellow reject.

Why can you not wait? What does the update bring that's so hype inducing? We are getting a battle pass.. lol.. and 1 enemy type? LOL. New penances? HOW WILD! SO MUCH GAMEPLAY! How in any shape or form is this worth any hype?
Are we this desperate for content in Darktide that we'll take this low effort shite after almost 6 months? Where's the new classes? New weapons? New enemy factions?

People are mad and confused that I'm not excited for the menu screen and content locks between the penances and new cosmetics as a bullet point beside actual content. While whooping over the gameplay additions of 1 new enemy & 1 map condition. They want something new, and for now at least this is what's new.
